I will start out by saying the staff at Que Bonita are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We have purchased dining room furniture, accessories and gifts since we moved to Tucson area this summer. The owner on the other hand is not aware of what customer service means. They had a cactus light that needed to have the electrical fixed and I waited almost a month, and told staff I needed it for a gift. I live about an hour away and came in this week and she said they've been too busy. For a month? For a good customer? Nope. Staff shouldn't have even told me about it She said. They were just doing their job. Selling. Business is apparently good but she has forgotten where she came from and her business was built on her repeat customers. I informed her I would not be returning. EVER. She is fortunate to have such good staff that understands good customer service and I wish them the best! read more

What a great store!!!  So refreshing to see business owners running their business and not requiring masks. Masks don't do a darn thing but hey if you want to be a lemming and wear one there's no one stopping you. Reading reviews about wearing masks irritates me. They are mean spirited and meant to hurt the small business. For heaven's sake, self regulate a bit and you'll have nothing to worry about. Besides your jabs and boosters are protecting you right? On 3/4/23 we ordered a custom mesquite table with turquoise inlay and a wrought iron base for $3695.80. We were told it would take 8-10 weeks to complete and had to pay half, $1847.90, up-front. After 16 weeks we finally called to inquire about the table. We were only then told that there was a delay (no previous communication about a delay) and the table would be in on 7/1/23. Due to the delay, Carmen did offer to waive the delivery fee, so when the table arrived, we only had to pay the remaining $1847.90 before the table would be delivered. The table was finally delivered on 7/8/23. The table was poorly crafted, to put it mildly! 1. The table itself, is not flat and the wrought iron base is also not even. The table is lower on one side than the other, and the center of the table is concaved. 2. The turqouise inlay is lack-luster with many areas of crushed rock and debris. (Yes, we understand stones are not all "perfect" nor is the inlay process, but it was excessive and all over the table.) 3. There is also a large portion on one end where there is no turqouise and just a large amount of epoxy. 4. The seams were not sanded very well and you can feel the transition between each piece. In conclusion, we are very unhappy with the quality of this very expensive table. For the amount of money we spent, we expected a high quality product and did not receive one. My husband took pictures of all the defects, including some with a level on the table showing how off the table is, and took the pictures to the owner. After rattling off excuse after excuse, Carmen finally said she would provide a refund, but we would need to pay a $555 re-stocking fee. That is completely unacceptable! When my husband told her the re-stocking fee was unacceptable she offered to replace the table and have it rushed. After waiting 16 weeks and receiving the poorly made product that we did, we have no faith in receiving a "rushed" product in better condition. We now just simply want a refund. Carmen then said she would just charge us the original delivery fee, and an additional fee to pick the table back up. (Approx. $390) Again, this is unacceptable. We were sold a defective product, that clearly did not go through quality control, and she expects US, as the consumer, to pay an outrageous fee because she sold us the defective product?? The owner is essentially asking her consumer to pay HER for the defective product she sold, rather than going back to the manufacturer to resolve any cost issues. So, either way we would be paying her $555 or $390 for no product (and all of our wasted time), and she would make more money on top of what she will still sell the table for. Unbelievable! Unfortunately, we did not reach an amicable resolution with Carmen. She insisted we pay her a fee for returning the table, and when we refused and advised her that we would be seeking legal action, she called my husband un-Christian and belittled him as he left. We are now having to take legal action in addition to filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

Excellent curated collection of (mostly) beautiful Mexican furniture, jewelry, textiles, artwork, and clothing, all with prices that are competitive anywhere in Tucson. There are many fine shops like this in Tucson, and we've visited many of them, but we continue to come back to Que Bonita. The selection is large and diverse but without being overwhelming. Quality is consistently good. Inventory is dynamic -- always something new. The Dunning-Kruger effect was on full display with this one. She had lots of conspiracy theories to share and followed me out of the store to continue her RWNJ speech. I will never shop there again. Waited 20 minutes for help, found a table and 6 matching chairs - really expensive - but very unique. Gave my credit card to buy table and chairs, and was told by woman helping me that she didn't want to sell it - she wanted for herself. I asked if they could order another one for her, she said they couldn't. I then asked 'as an employee you won't sell me the table and chairs'? She replied, 'I'm the owner, and it should have been marked sold for me". I have never had such a disrespectful retail experience. If you shop here, please don't find an item you really want - without asking if the owner wants the item for herself first. read more

Oh, Que Bonita...." Que Bonita is a small shop which is expanding. It carries a lot of Mexican, Colonial, and Southwestern furniture and artifacts. Many of the furniture are replicates of things you can find at Tres Amigos, but then they also carry items you wouldn't find at Tres Amigos with better detailing or quality. Que Bonita also sales home decor and southwestern dresses. I like Que Bonita a lot as they sell Briwax brand of wax paste of many different shades. I can't find Briwax at Lowes, Home Depot, or even Ace. So even if I don't buy their furniture, they will definitely see me in the future for their Briwax. Que Bonita is definitely more artsy than Tres Amigos. Its a very charming boutique with many one-of-a-kind pieces. read more

Leah who works there (who also has my name too!) is amazing at taking the time to help you find what you are looking for or answering any questions you might have! I love taking out of town guests here, everyone always finds something unique to bring home with them. They also ship through Fedex anywhere you like and they don't charge extra for packing and shipping (just whatever fedex charges for shipping.) My mother- in- law recently bought a large mirror from here and had it shipped across the country. Prices are very reasonable considering how unique and vintage some of the pieces are. My husband and I went to this store with the intention of buying multiple pieces of furniture for our newly purchased vacation home. They have beautiful pieces priced well. Many different pieces to choose from. The problem came when we asked one of the associates for help with pricing since there were no price tag on the pieces. The associate informed us that these were new pieces and she would need a minute to get the prices. Before she walked away she turned and asked us if we would be purchasing the pieces today fo which we said ,"yes today" and she left. We looked around some more and returned to the counter to tell the associate we had a few more pieces to add to the list. She gave a big sigh and rattled off prices for the first pieces and then again asked if we were buying today. When we asked how that mattered, she said that it took awhile to get the prices as they were new,she had to call the owner,the owner has her own way of entering items in the computer,blah,blah,blah! I politely reminded her that I was sure the owner would appreciate the sale and again,she looked at me with disgust. Needless to say we walked out the door! Too bad for the owner.
