The coffee here is delicious! Not going to lie, I was very intimidated to order, as it took me a while to understand their in store menu. I was interested in their House Specialty Meesha drink, but I'm not a big fan of Lavender. They were very nice to let me change the Lavender flavor to rose, which ended up being SO GOOD! Unfortunately, since the drink I ordered ended up being an espresso drink with rose, blackberry and white mocha, it ended up costing over $8 with tip :( I'm still not sure what the price originally was. And crazy enough, I would do it again. The inside of the cafe is also gorgeous. It didn't feel like I was in Livermore, and it was a great cozy and aesthetic vibe, I love it! Hidden gem in Livermore! Was craving ice cream while visiting Livermore this holiday season and came upon this shop that was more than just a coffee shop, it was a quiet speakeasy and boutique shop. Coffee and desert was a much better choice than ice cream on a cold night, so I was happy to. One here. This is more of an intimate spot for grownups in the evening as it is quite dark and they offer "spiked" coffee as well. I had a chai tea late with heavy cream and an apple pastry with Carmel. Stumbled upon this place when I was looking for a little pick me up at 7pm. Didn't realize it turns into a cocktail bar and no takeout drinks were allowed after 2pm. But the seating area was so beautifully decorated with twinkly lights for the holidays, I couldn't resist staying in and sitting down. Rosetta Roasting (otherwise known as Espresso Rosetta) is my current favorite coffee shop in Livermore. The staff is very friendly and quick and makes it a very warm place to spend a morning. The venue has cute decor and many booths and chairs providing some of the best seating I've seen in a coffee shop. It almost has a full "restaurant" layout which is a breath of fresh air compared to other cramped coffee locations. One of the reasons that this location is my favorite is the unique drinks. Very few places offer cortados and Rosetta roasting offers 4 of these house specials: the Nicco (orange and vanilla), Meesha (black berry, lavender, white mocha), Mercy (raspberry, white mocha), Juliet (rose and dark mocha). These are all super high quality. After tip the drink comes out to around $6 which is my only downside. Higher tip for a higher quality drink so it is fair enough, I only wish it was lower so that I could justify coming back more frequently. read more

I really loved the interior vibe! This place is definitely decorated in a quaint fashion with some pirate ships and retro items on display. They also support local artists, florists and vintage items which were on sale. The coffee tasted really good! Also their menu is super simple and has been illustrated in a way to understand the nuances between say a cortado and cappuccino including drink sizes! They also sell fresh baked goods- I noticed they stocked mint chocolate cheesecake and blueberry muffins - as I was ordering and they looked so yum! The service was also top notch! I came here to catch up with a friend whom I haven't seen in years. This coffee shop was a perfect catch up spot as it had a lot of seating - indoors and outdoors. I was very surprised to see more seating as I walked towards the back and right of the shop. I like the decor with all the mirrors. The ambiance was quaint, vintage-y vibes, and cozy. I love the drawings of the different coffee types on the wall to the right of the shop after you walk in. Super helpful for people to visualize what's the difference between a macchiato and a latte, etc. I usually order a latte but after looking over the house specialties/cortado truffles, I opted for the Meesha. The blackberry, lavender, and white mocha sauce sold me. Lavender petals were sprinkled on top. Although very cute and picturesque, I did not quite enjoy eating the actual petals. I guess eating flowers is just not for me. The sauce itself was very subtle. I'm not sure if I quite tasted it. Nonetheless, the drink was creamy, warm, and enjoyable. Instead of putting an "expiration date" on the bag, Rosetta Roasting tells you what day the beans were roasted. I've seen coffee beans in the grocery store with dates a year out. So if you think your big corporation coffee beans are still OK because it's still before the expiration date, think again. Since discovering this boutique roaster, I always drink coffee that is made with beans that are less than a couple weeks old. Fresh is better! read more

I had a really disappointing experience here recently. The vibe is super off lately. The cashier and the barista were giving each other a hard time, and it was uncomfortable (more than lighthearted teasing). We set our cups on a small table with no chairs near the bar because the bussing tub that used to be in that area wasn't there; it was obvious we were looking around for the tub. The guy behind the counter said some version of "Move your cups to the bussing tubs. They're right there. There are actually 2." It was weird. Super poor customer service. The coffee was good. They have a ton of choices in their menu that is drawn on one of their walls (which gave the place an old-timey vibe, OBSESSED!!). I'm not going to lie, I did not like that one, maybe because I couldn't taste the raspberry enough but I will be trying it again to make sure and I shall update you all of my findings! 2) Meesha: Blackberry, Lavender syrup and white mocha sauce. I got this one iced & my tastebuds absolutely loved it! Something about the blackberry and lavender together was such a great idea!!! I was wired to say the least (it's why I get coffee haha!) What a disappointing experience. The café itself is beautiful, and the menu looks amazing, but unfortunately, the staff didn't seem to know it at all. We had to explain the specialty coffee to the order taker, and even after he wrote it down, he still got it wrong. We pointed out the mistake, only for him to repeat it. To make matters worse, not only was our order wrong, but all three drinks were also the wrong size and served at the wrong temperature. When we tried to mention it, we were met with attitude from the staff, which was incredibly off-putting. In the end, we reluctantly accepted three 24 oz ultra-hot drip coffees with stevia. They all tasted the same, and neither latte had a drop of milk in it. It was honestly comical how bad it was. We ended up leaving and heading to Peet's just a block away for a much better experience. read more

Pricing on any of their coffees isn't to be found anywhere but on their tablet cash register - the chalk drawing on the wall one would think to put the prices on but no. Service is slow but the coffee pouring is carefully done. If sitting in - you'll get a beatiful cup and saucer for your beverage. Came here last night with my family. We wanted hot chocolate and coffee and dessert. We saw the reviews and wanted to try it. We are fans of small businesses. We were told If you get a table you don't get to go cups & only the small sizes are to go cups for hot chocolate. So we decided to get a table thinking the mugs would be better. I thought I would get a mug of hot chocolate with whip cram, but I got a cold cup of hot chocolate with no love. My daughter and husband ordered mocha's. They tasted water down and were warm/ cold. It was a good thing though because my granddaughter accidentally dropped my husband's coffee and it could've burned them. We were moved to another table. But we were not offered if we would like another coffee. They all looked inconvenienced. Definitely not kid friendly. No high chairs. Didn't see one nor were we offered one. Ambiance is a coffee shop in front but a diner/bar in the back. Not sure but it was not what we expected. We ordered two desserts and 3 drinks at $60.00. The desserts were good but at that price we thought the pieces were going to be bigger & the drinks were going to be better. I love this place. Anytime I'm in Livermore, I'll visit Rosetta. Their creative menu around cortados is the main draw for me. I've had them all and they all taste great. I love unique little coffee shops so when my daughter and I found ourselves in downtown Livermore on a Sunday morning we popped in to check Rosetta Roasting out. SUPPER Cute!! I loved their adorable seating area (no pictures because it was full and taking pictures of strangers drinking coffee seems creepy) with eclectic seating options. Service was really friendly and welcoming and you could tell this is a locals kinda place because the staff seemed to know quite a few of the customers. Here's what we ordered: MEESHA - Expresso, Lavender, Blackberry and White Mocha Sauce. My daughter really liked this. It's different but delicious. NICCO - Expresso, Orange and Vanilla Syrup. Cute ambiance, an extensive menu, and good drinks?! Rosetta has it all. I wanted a midday caffeine pick me up on a Saturday and thankfully I got to Rosetta just in time - about 30 min before they were about to close. At that point the shop was mostly empty with just a few stragglers like me. The coffee shop itself is so spacious. They've got plenty of seating inside and outside. Perfect if you're looking to get some work done or if you just want to catch up with a friend. They've also got a little storefront with some local knick knacks for purchase. I love that they have so many options on their menu. Sometimes it can be overwhelming when there's too much to choose from, but that wasn't the case here. Their menu was easy to understand and you could customize each drink! I decided to go for the Nicco and up the size to 16 oz (so pretty much a latte I think?). It was the perfect hint of orange and sweetness without overpowering the coffee. Service was quick and helpful, no complaints there! I will say the drinks are on the pricier side though.
