Bacon breakfast burrito - $8
N. Danny S.

Came here at 8am on a Friday and the line was out the door. I can understand why, in a current world of super inflation this place still has very reasonable prices for good coffee and food. As of October 2026 I got a cortado for $5 and a breakfast burrito for $8. The cortado was the perfect temperature and it was nice and creamy. The burrito was good, not the best burrito I've had, I wish the tater tots were more crispy. For the price and the size though it's very good. Many boutique places in Pasadena charge double the price for a smaller burrito. The sauce that comes with the burrito is also very good. By the time I was done eating the place was almost completely full, so if you want to come here to study or work, be sure to get here early to snag a table! Plenty of free parking on the street or in the lot in the back

Iced vanilla latte

I recently visited again and got the strawberry almond croissant. It's still very delicious, but the price has gone up and they're now $8.50 each. I also tried the iced vanilla latte, and it was pretty good. It had a strong espresso flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. The first coffee I had here was the hot vanilla latte, which I didn't like because it tasted watered down. So I was hesitant to try another coffee here, but I'm glad I gave it another try because I actually really liked the iced vanilla latte.

Loved the ambience and the drinks. Daughter ordered a lavender matcha and I ordered an ice tea. Both very good! Free WiFi on weekdays! Large patio for the doggies and large parking lot is a major plus for the area!

Great weekday Wifing/Work from Cafe, plenty of free parking, decent caffeinated drinks, lots of seating, and some outlets (bring an extension in case). Good for individuals and larger groups. Wild Parrot Brewing Company opens at 3pm. Anyone sitting on the brewery orange side will need to vacate unless they become a brewery customer. I believe there is no wifi during the weekends. Best place to wifi in east Pasadena!

Still as good as I remembered it! I got the strawberry almond croissant this time. The filling was perfect : sweet with strawberry jam without losing the almond flavor. The croissant is perfectly flaky. A 10/10. I got the ice Oatmilk latte with simple syrup -my go to drink and it did not disappoint . Happy to be back !

I regret not trying one of the floral latte options but, I will on my next visit. But, when I found out the syrups are homemade, I just had to try the vanilla. It was actually really good. I like that they kept the flavor subtle, and exactly where it needed to be to complement their brew. It was also very creamy, quite delightful. The cafe has a lot going on, a strong vibe that I think many would appreciate. My visit was short and quick, but still enjoyable. The cashier recommended my flavor, saying it's her favorite, and she didn't let me down. Nice job, good coffee.

I love this coffee shop! It's so spacious inside with plenty of seating. Came here to cowork with a friend, and it was the perfect spot. We actually sat at the bar for a while and then moved to one of the communal picnic style tables. Love that there's a bar inside that opens at 3 pm too. We might come back for trivia night! Ordered a cappuccino and a vegetarian breakfast burrito. The coffee was so smooth. I really liked the taste. They roast their own beans in one of those big machines, which is pretty cool. Burrito was also pretty good! They crisp it on a panini press. The green sauce really made it though. It reminded me of a mint chutney or something. Love the concept of this place and that they have community programs that help kids get jobs. I hope they open more locations, but I will definitely be back!

The interior is huge and spacious! I went around 2 on a Tuesday and it was pretty crowded. Lots of people on their laptops so seems like a good spot for working. They have a front and back patio and parking lot in the back. The cashier wasn't very friendly and didn't greet me. Didn't talk much. I ordered a macchiato and blueberry muffin. The macchiato was not drinkable. I am not sure if it's the beans but the drink was not smooth and very bitter. The blueberry muffin looks like there was a bite taken out of it. The blueberries in the muffin were tart and didn't taste very fresh. Would not come back.

There is plenty of parking on the street and in the back of the coffee shop. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered seasonal toast that had apples. It was very fresh, and the bread was soft and crisp at the edges. I also got a flat white and it was great. I came here with a friend to catch up and it is a great place to do that. I definitely want to come back and try other items on their menu.

This coffee shop has free parking at the back of the store. They share a space with Wild Parrot brewing company. The inside is very spacious and there were a lot of people working. My nieces ordered: peach lemonade and a Salted Rose Matcha and I ordered a hot rosebud chai with rose syrup. We also ordered a Melt on sourdough. Everything was really good! There's outside seating as well so we opted to do that! Definitely worth coming back!

Blueberry Matcha
Angelynne Z.

PARKING in the back (free), NO WIFI on weekends, MILK SUBSTITUTIONS available, lots of seating Love the ambiance here and their table policies - great spot for a quick chat or stop for drinks. We got their macchiato and blueberry matcha (seasonal?) and I wasn't too big a fan of the matcha as it carried no blueberry flavor at all. It wasn't bad as a matcha latte but it's definitely not a standout. Their coffee roasts, on the other hand, are much better and I would recommend those instead

Pumpkin Pie Latte

Pre-wedding caffeine fuel Food: Colorado Breakfast Sandwich I appreciate the choice of thick sourdough like English muffin (4/5). It was pipping hot so the egg was enjoyable (sometimes places do not heat up throughly). I asked to remove the bacon and the cashier was so gracious and suggested a substitute instead which the Turkey was great! This held me over until after the ceremony. Drink: Of course a seasonal pumpkin pie latte is the only fitting drink haha The espresso did the work well, but the syrup was a bit lacking tasted more artificial (3/5). My taste buds needed more pie spice and the dazzle PSL vibe which I would try another drink next time. A small pro is their ice size. Ambiance: A wide range of customers on their computers studying / working remote which infers great wifi, computer outlets and table arrangements. I loved the in-house brewery tank to add a little touch Service: The cashier was kind and sweet! She offered suggestions and items executed in a timely manner. All employees displayed their happy countenance with smiles to everyone that's a 5/5

|[ a m a z i n g ]| Had sugar-free options and loved the iced hojicha latte (with oat milk sub) with toasty strong flavor just how I like it, plenty seating and looks like a great place to do work though maybe bring headphones :) |[ e a t z ]| Colorado brekkie sammie was decent though not too special for $7, I have yet to try the pastries but plan to eventually! |[ l o v e n o t e z ]| Patio seating out back so pups are welcome there, cute, wholesome and parking lot+easy street parking. Service is fabulous! Line can be a bit long but worth the wait. :D my pup and I will be back!

Ask the Community - Rosebud Coffee

Are the bakery goods like croissants or made daily on premise? Anything unique with them?

Hi there! Our baked goods are from Sugarbloom Bakery and delivered fresh daily. We get a wide selection of sweet and savory pastries including croissants of several types, muffins, loaves, donuts, cookies, and more.

I saw a review about wifi during the weekdays. Does this mean there's no free wifi on the weekends?

Hey Rachel! Thanks for reaching out. We have wifi available on weekdays (Monday through Friday), but not during weekends. We have chosen to not have wifi over the weekends because we wanted to create a better space for folks to connect face to face…

Do you allow dogs?

Due to Pasadena health department guidelines, only service animals are allowed inside. However, pets are allowed on our back patio!

Do you have any gluten free options?

Sorry for the late reply, Bunny! Yes we do. All of our drinks are gluten free, and we also serve a couple gluten free donut options (matcha and chocolate).

Is this place amenable to people who do not wish to listen to loud commercial music? Is there at least the option of sitting outside and not being assaulted by loud speakers forcing pop music on its customers?

Hello, we do have outdoor seating in the back parking lot or in the front of the store. We usually don't have loud music but if you are inside and the music is too loud you are welcome to ask the barista's to turn it down.

Are you open on October 11?

Good morning. Yes, we are open today on October 11th for our normal hours of 8a-4p. Thanks!

Do you have Wifi?

Hi Katherine, Our wifi is free with purchase!…

What are your hours Christmas day?

We are not open on Christmas, we will be open 8-5 on Christmas Eve and normal hours on Boxing Day.

How much are their croissants/ pastries price range ,?

If my memory is right, the range was around $3-5

Hi! Are the toys for kids gone?

Yes, it’s true. CHiRP’s lease expired and they have moved out taking all the children’s toys with them.

Is it open from 12/23-12/27?

Chris, Thanks for checking on our holiday hours. Here they are:…

Do you have any vegan pastries, sandwiches, or salads? Also what vegan milks do you have? Thank you.

Hi Rebecca, we now offer some vegan options on pastries! Vegan milks are still Oat and Almond!

Is it really closed at 11am Saturday or 11pm?

It's 11 am.

Is the milk organic?

Yes

This did not disappoint! I got the pandan latte. Definitely heavier on the vanilla flavor but the pandan still comes through. My mom got the crème brulee latte and it was probably one of the better ones I've had. It wasn't just sweet - you could get the essence of that burnt sugar topping. For food we had the spam kimchi cheese croissant and it was so good! The croissant was nice and flaky. There was the perfect ratio of filling. It is a very craveable sandwich. All of this in itself deserved a 5 star review already, but one more thing happened I need to mention. We were just about to leave and I wanted a straw in my drink. I want to put it in the lid and instead I spilled it all over the counter. A woman who I presumed to be the owner immediately came over to clean the mess and told the girl at the counter to remake me a new drink. On my previous visit I had ordered the Ube Latte, so this time I decided to try the Pandan Latte. It's hard to describe the flavor of Pandan but I detected somewhat of a nutty flavor. Mandarin quickly became a TikTok darling, and it has since been featured by the LA Times and The Infatuation. Mandarin is tucked away in the quaint Burlington Arcade on South Lake. The brightly lit, semi-enclosed walkway feels like the streets of London. A firetruck-red telephone booth completes the ambiance. On a weekend morning, the buzzing shop is a stark contrast to the sleepy surrounding storefronts. Mandarin's tiny interior is limited to 4 customers, and it feels immediately serene compared to the shoulder-to-shoulder line. Warm filamented bulbs, pressed-tin ceiling, and dry-brushed slate walls create an industrial-minimalist vibe fitting for the street. Fifties tunes blend with the hum of espresso machines. My fiancee and I arrived before 10AM on the weekend, and we still faced a 20-minute queue down the alley. Once inside, our drinks were promptly prepared to order. We loved the signature "Toasty", an elevated take on milk tea. The spice mix and oat milk combined into a deliciously not-too-sweet drink. Meanwhile, the silky Vienna Latte recalled La Colombe's classic draft latte, but it was decidedly more standard. Lastly, the White Miso Kouign-Amann (billed as a "creme brulee croissant") left us wanting; caramelized sugar collected disproportionately at the bottom. The service was warm and approachable, and pastries and beverages run $5-7 range. Broadly, my fiancee and I agreed that the coffee was good but not quite great, and the pastries weren't worth the premium. While a few other drinks piqued my interest, I can't see myself going out of my way to Mandarin in the future.

I must have ordered the Sicily so many times that they should just name the coffee after me. The staff here is wonderful and the baristas genuinely seem passionate about what they're serving. I know what I like so I haven't gotten around to experimenting with the other coffees, but I can feel the intention behind the menu! It's a long, narrow shop so seating may be limited if you have a larger party, but the ambience was very pleasant and nice. Menu is stacked with the names of different types of teas but offers zero description on any of them, so you have no choice but to ask the barista to describe the flavor profile of the teas you're interested in. The barista seemed a bit tired of explaining the tea flavors on the menu, and I honestly don't blame them at all. I'd be annoyed if I had to recite and explain the same large menu over and over again to countless customers throughout the day, when it could've just been written on the menu. If mgmt is reading this - you should fix the menu to make it easier for workers (and customers). This could also help move your line faster, which I've often heard complaints about. I ordered the Koan-Im milk tea, unsweetened, without toppings. I usually like my teas and coffees dark and less sweet, no toppings - especially when I'm trying a new tea shop so I can taste the quality of the tea first, and see whether they get their milk to tea ratios right. The Koan-Im oolong was described to me as a dark roasted oolong so it sounded like it would fit my preference. Unfortunately I barely tasted any tea in it at all, and the drink was mostly just milk. I'm not even sure it was fully milk, since I tasted hints of non-dairy creamer (I should've asked the barista about this before ordering but I didn't want torment her any further after she just rapped an entire menu to me, so I made a hasty choice here). Unfortunately I had to bring the drink home and add more tea to fix the milky flavor. My honest thoughts - I should've ordered a plain tea drink rather than milk tea, so I could at least taste the quality of the tea. I don't think this place makes milk teas that I would like. They're likely one of those tea shops that are popular for their sugary milk tea drinks that lean heavier on the milk and toppings instead. I'm sure their tapioca mochi is lovely, as is their popular "popcorn milk tea" but if you're a person who prefers darker tea drinks with less of the fuss and frills like I do, this place isn't for you.
