Unfortunately, the memorial bench inscription was significantly delayed and took more than two years to complete despite repeated follow-ups and several missed communication commitments. Throughout that time, we received various explanations for the delay, and communication was inconsistent, which made an already emotional situation much more stressful for our family. After formal escalation and corporate involvement, the matter was finally addressed. Management ultimately worked to complete the engraving, and once an error in the inscription was identified, it was corrected promptly. I personally visited the cemetery to verify that the engraving now reflects the correct information and appears properly completed. While I am relieved that the situation has finally been resolved, I hope future families experience clearer communication and timelier follow-through from the beginning. I appreciate that the issue was ultimately corrected, but the process leading up to that resolution was much longer and more difficult than it should have been.

From the very beginning, their team treated our family with professionalism, compassion, and genuine kindness. I would like to acknowledge the staff who supported us, Tabitha, an African American woman, a Hispanic woman, and an African American man. Each of them showed patience, respect, and professionalism while assisting our family. Their kindness did not go unnoticed. I understand that working in this field can be emotionally demanding. Funeral homes interact with grieving families every day, often during some of the most painful moments of their lives. Despite that, this team remained calm, supportive, and compassionate throughout the entire process. They truly showed us grace and care during a time when we needed it the most. Antonio was very close to me I helped raise him from the time he was 10 years old, so seeing him there broke me to my core. The staff checked on us, offered comfort, and made sure we felt supported. I truly felt the love and care they extended to our family. I cannot thank them enough for the way they helped us navigate such a heartbreaking situation. If you are ever in need of funeral services, I would recommend this funeral home. Please remember that the people who work there are helping families through deep grief every day, so showing them a little grace and patience means a lot. Thank you again to Tabitha and the entire team for your kindness and professionalism during one of the hardest moments our family has faced. Sorry for getting on yall nerves with questions. -Milton Stone

My grandmother passed away on April 26th and prior to her passing, I did extensive research on funeral homes and mortuaries within the valley. I read hundreds of reviews and made many calls and Hansen just felt right. We selected Hansen to be who we would use when the need arose. A few weeks later, my grandmother peacefully slipped away. Her hospice team made contact with Hansen Desert Hills and the process was seamless and professional. Two days after her passing, we went to the Desert Hills location to make arrangements with Cami. Nothing felt pressured or sales-driven, as we had experienced years prior at another funeral home when my grandfather passed away. We had many variables at play, including a burial trust and plans for an out of state interment, and Cami navigated everything perfectly and expertly. We also interacted with Charlii the receptionist during this process and she was wonderful as well. We picked my grandmother's remains up the following week and had a lovely walk through Hansen's memorial garden. It was all very peaceful and again, just felt right. I'm sorry if you have a need for a mortuary, but Hansen took great care of us.

Words truly can't express the compassion they showed or the care they took in making sure our family was okay every step of the way. I am especially thankful for the attentive and heartfelt care from Trish, Cami, Larae, Marcela, and Wendi. Molly, the comfort dog, was also a blessing to have around and gave us the extra comfort we needed during such a difficult time. During one of the hardest times in our lives, they treated us with kindness, dignity, and respect. We will always be grateful.

How does a funeral home forget that they were doing a burial?…read more I don't know but it happened. My father was supposed to be buried this morning at 10:00 am. I had guests and a Chaplain but the funeral home forgot to schedule the burial even though I called the Funeral Home and confirmed with them that the burial would be today, Monday, August 20, 2012. Flowers were sent, people were there. I am on the phone with them and they are saying they never scheduled the burial and never confirmed it with me. I not only confirmed the date and time but asked for the name of a local florist which I got and had the flowers delivered. I am left to get a copy of my phone bill to prove that I called and confirmed. I am heart broken and tired and stressed. And I just don't get it at all. added after I read Harper's response to this yelp: Darrin, the funeral was prearranged, all paper worked filled out and pre-paid. The casket was picked out, the burial spot arranged. I live in California and your funeral home is in Arizona. I used the phone to make arrangements, I called numerous times, got a date, a time, a place, a reference for flowers that I had made and sent. The only thing I did not get is a funeral. How dare you try to cover up a HUGE and unforgivable mistake. An apology is needed, not an excuse.
