From the very beginning, their team treated our family with professionalism, compassion, and genuine kindness. I would like to acknowledge the staff who supported us, Tabitha, an African American woman, a Hispanic woman, and an African American man. Each of them showed patience, respect, and professionalism while assisting our family. Their kindness did not go unnoticed. I understand that working in this field can be emotionally demanding. Funeral homes interact with grieving families every day, often during some of the most painful moments of their lives. Despite that, this team remained calm, supportive, and compassionate throughout the entire process. They truly showed us grace and care during a time when we needed it the most. Antonio was very close to me I helped raise him from the time he was 10 years old, so seeing him there broke me to my core. The staff checked on us, offered comfort, and made sure we felt supported. I truly felt the love and care they extended to our family. I cannot thank them enough for the way they helped us navigate such a heartbreaking situation. If you are ever in need of funeral services, I would recommend this funeral home. Please remember that the people who work there are helping families through deep grief every day, so showing them a little grace and patience means a lot. Thank you again to Tabitha and the entire team for your kindness and professionalism during one of the hardest moments our family has faced. Sorry for getting on yall nerves with questions. -Milton Stone

After the hospital provided me with a long list of expensive options, I reached out and immediately received the best care, thoughtful advice, and support from a dedicated patient coordinator. As a grieving family member, you rarely have a moment to process your emotions--you're expected to step up and handle the many responsibilities that come with loss. This team made all the difficult decisions easier, eased the burden of expense, and gave me the choice to be shielded from minor details or kept informed about every step regarding my brother, even down to the day and time. That level of consideration was truly comforting. I am incredibly grateful for the special people who take care of our loved ones and who supported me through such a difficult time.

She arranged with the VA for my brother to be buried at the AZ National cemetery with a full honor guard. Her kind demeanor and compassion made working through this hard time much easier. If one wants to post an obituary on that site, one has to email it in a Microsoft Word file (as I was told by someone there) to East Lake Mortuary. Recently, I wrote an obituary for my brother and emailed a Microsoft Word PDF file to East Lake Mortuary. Days later the obituary was posted on the East Lake website by someone at East Lake. However, the version of the obituary that was posted there is different from the original obituary that I wrote and emailed to East Lake. The version of the obituary that was posted there has many typos, such as, many capital letters written in words where the letters are supposed to be lower case, no space between some words, and no space between paragraphs, except for one place where there is a space between one paragraph and the next one. None of these typos were in the version of the obituary that I had written and emailed to East Lake. Apparently, someone at East Lake Mortuary manually copied the obituary (that I emailed to there) on to the East Lake website, but the person who copied the obituary did not do a good job of it. Obviously, this should not have happened, and it could have easily been avoided. This obituary that is currently on the East Lake Mortuary website should be taken down (deleted) and then rewritten correctly on to the East Lake Mortuary website.

Unfortunately, the memorial bench inscription was significantly delayed and took more than two years to complete despite repeated follow-ups and several missed communication commitments. Throughout that time, we received various explanations for the delay, and communication was inconsistent, which made an already emotional situation much more stressful for our family. After formal escalation and corporate involvement, the matter was finally addressed. Management ultimately worked to complete the engraving, and once an error in the inscription was identified, it was corrected promptly. I personally visited the cemetery to verify that the engraving now reflects the correct information and appears properly completed. While I am relieved that the situation has finally been resolved, I hope future families experience clearer communication and timelier follow-through from the beginning. I appreciate that the issue was ultimately corrected, but the process leading up to that resolution was much longer and more difficult than it should have been.
