I have to preface this with information we were given four years ago by the mortuary that provided services for our son. At that time my husband was strongly discouraged from being there when our son was cremated. He was told it was dirty and smelled bad. My husband was not told when our son's body was moved to be cremated so he could not even follow the vehicle. This lay forever heavy on my husband heart. I was greeted by Sean who told me to enter through the door, that there were tissues and water, and to take all the time I needed. Entering I noticed how clean and clutter free the room was. There was no smell of any kind. After saying my last goodbye and having Sean come in, he was surprised to hear that I wanted to stay and see my husband enter the cremation chamber. But I had made a promise. After this being completed I spoke with Sean. He is a sincere young man who takes his profession serious and the service he provides is not something just anyone can do. He was mindful and respectful of my husband's body which was such a great comfort to me. Sean struck me as a compassionate person which made this last walk so much easier. Thank you Sean! But once they've secured the deal and it's time to pick up the ashes, they have you wait in the lobby and hand off your loved one like a to-go order and send you on your way. I'm not asking for a service, but I would like some privacy. The last time I saw my father, he was a human. Now he's ashes. That's a pretty hard transition to come to terms with and they expect you to just jump in your car and drive away? For being a family business, you'd think they'd have a little more sense than that. The guy that passed off the ashes had zero compassion in his voice. He had us sign documents like we were having a fridge delivered. Apparently, they are renovating...like that's our problem. If you don't have sufficient rooms to seat people in, then maybe you shouldn't be doing business. Or here's a concept...rent out another location that is sufficient. The place stinks of room deodorizer so strongly it burns your eyes. I'm told it's discounted rates. I've just gone through this twice this year already and the prices didn't seem much different, but the service certainly does. I guess you get what you pay for...except the rates don't appear very discounted soooo....just go somewhere else. The whole experience was more traumatizing than it needed to be and it was all due to the staff.

Since the early 1990s, I've been visiting this cemetery to visit the gravesite of my grandma with…read moremy grandad. Quarterly, we made sure to spruce up the flowers and clean up the stone a bit. Additionally, my dad would periodically take me to visit his brother's grave, though with the nature of his passing, it was always a harder visit. Sadly, as the years have passed, more of my family reside here. My Nanny passed very suddenly. Cancer diagnosis on a Wednesday and passed on a Friday. In 2006, the family found themselves quickly making accommodations that were unexpected. My grandpa said it was a pretty easy process, and he appreciated being able to future purchase to be buried with her. This made it incredibly easy when he would pass 8 years later as my aunt would take care of those accommodations without the financial burden. As for pricing, we all know it is not cheap to do so though I've heard it's fairly comparable to the surrounding area. The grounds have been well kept the last thirty years that I've frequented here, and my family has continued to chose this location as their final resting place. The grounds are well kept, there is plenty of parking, and most of the staff is very compassionate and friendly. I will mention that one receptionist in particular was very rude to my mother when we arrived. My Mom began to make her way toward the service we were attending and the woman at the front desk was very snippy with my Mom and told her not to go near the room where the service was being held. She said "It's not ready yet, the family is still setting up!!" My mom asked if she could just sit on the chairs outside the chapel and wait for them to finish setting up, the lady said "NO" with lots of attitude and frustration. I was completely beside myself on that type of behavior! So we sat in the front lobby on the chairs provided. There are 4 chairs in the main lobby, which suited our needs. Just when I thought I had already seen it all, the same woman gets up from her desk and storms over to the chapel area where the service would be held.... Muttering under her breath, walking briskly, and pulls the doors closed... Then continues back to her desk to sit down. I'm not sure if this is her normal behavior, but it could be argued that her personality type doesn't exactly jive with the typical crowd that attend a funeral home.... They also offer water bottles to guests & have a snack machine in the lobby. There are several rooms available for funeral services, which are spacious and comfortable. I will say that I was surprised to see that the pews are not bolted into the floor... I used the back of the pew to help myself up after a service & it disturbed the bench in front of me... That was embarrassing. All in all, the place is exactly what you'd expect. Aside from the rude woman that greets you as you enter the building. We have many relatives that are buried here & others that have been cremated. Aside from Fridays experience, I have never had a complaint about my encounters here.
