My grandmother passed away on April 26th and prior to her passing, I did extensive research on funeral homes and mortuaries within the valley. I read hundreds of reviews and made many calls and Hansen just felt right. We selected Hansen to be who we would use when the need arose. A few weeks later, my grandmother peacefully slipped away. Her hospice team made contact with Hansen Desert Hills and the process was seamless and professional. Two days after her passing, we went to the Desert Hills location to make arrangements with Cami. Nothing felt pressured or sales-driven, as we had experienced years prior at another funeral home when my grandfather passed away. We had many variables at play, including a burial trust and plans for an out of state interment, and Cami navigated everything perfectly and expertly. We also interacted with Charlii the receptionist during this process and she was wonderful as well. We picked my grandmother's remains up the following week and had a lovely walk through Hansen's memorial garden. It was all very peaceful and again, just felt right. I'm sorry if you have a need for a mortuary, but Hansen took great care of us.

Words truly can't express the compassion they showed or the care they took in making sure our family was okay every step of the way. I am especially thankful for the attentive and heartfelt care from Trish, Cami, Larae, Marcela, and Wendi. Molly, the comfort dog, was also a blessing to have around and gave us the extra comfort we needed during such a difficult time. During one of the hardest times in our lives, they treated us with kindness, dignity, and respect. We will always be grateful.

We too, looked at reviews before choosing. The disheartening thing is the way our viewing was handled. The viewing area is by no means adequate or private. The front desk and employees sat in the same room while we had distressed family members in tears and disbelief that my son was gone. The ladies continued to type on keyboards and move around, it was distracting and it felt, disrespectful. The room had closets open and stretchers viewable, boxes and things stacked around the room. The cover that was placed on my son was tattered and a blue material that was very well used and not appropriate. There was nothing comforting there at all. There were used water bottles on the tables and trash left behind. No music, nothing to mask the smells that went straight to my heart when I was close to my son. Upon returning to get my sons ashes they were brought into this same room again, while another family was viewing and in the center of the room. The lady walked over to a counter behind the decedent and gathered the box of ashes for my daughter and my sons father. The other family was in dismay at this, as was my daughter. She kept apologizing to the family for the intrusion. The room is quite old and there was just absolutely nothing about this experience that I can recommend. It was all very sad. Professionalism at a time like this would have been appreciated. We all left feeling very uneasy and sad that my son was placed in their care. Kristy was very sweet and very helpful and that is my only kind comment. The two woman that typed and texted through our viewing and sadness have no idea how disrespected we felt. I will, we will never forget this. Not recommended.

They were patient, understanding, and incredibly respectful throughout the entire process. Every conversation felt personal, never rushed, and they made sure we understood each step. Even without walking through their doors, we felt supported and cared for. What meant the most was how consistent their compassion was -- years apart, for both of my parents. From the very beginning, their team treated our family with professionalism, compassion, and genuine kindness. I would like to acknowledge the staff who supported us, Tabitha, an African American woman, a Hispanic woman, and an African American man. Each of them showed patience, respect, and professionalism while assisting our family. Their kindness did not go unnoticed. I understand that working in this field can be emotionally demanding. Funeral homes interact with grieving families every day, often during some of the most painful moments of their lives. Despite that, this team remained calm, supportive, and compassionate throughout the entire process. They truly showed us grace and care during a time when we needed it the most. Antonio was very close to me I helped raise him from the time he was 10 years old, so seeing him there broke me to my core. The staff checked on us, offered comfort, and made sure we felt supported. If you are ever in need of funeral services, I would recommend this funeral home. Please remember that the people who work there are helping families through deep grief every day, so showing them a little grace and patience means a lot. Thank you again to Tabitha and the entire team for your kindness and professionalism during one of the hardest moments our family has faced. Later that night I composed myself enough to start doing research our best option to handle Baxter best...however that wasn't available to us, because they didn't have to put him down. So I started fresh.. I looked at YELPS top 10...settled on a few at the top to do better research, you know the ones that don't give perfect 5 Stars 3's 4's...which you can probably trust them as much as you can the 1 & 5's but that's what I was doing. After finding to many negatives at the top places...I landed on #16, I know...who would chose them. I did, I liked the reviews I saw...glad I did. I called, Rachel answered...I became an expert in my research so she answered the questions that were important to me. Can you come by in the Morning (24/7 btw) and they could first thing. I had a few more questions (hesitations considering another Pet Place or two), she got back to me within 10 minutes...answer my questions...she said Greg would contact me in the morning, I asked about what they would pick him up in, he's a bigger dog. She said, a Camary (well I knew that was a car and would not work especially if they would put him in the trunk or something. Greg showed up on time, and guess what...it was a Camary, he was going in the trunk and I was more than anxious, pissed?...But she assured me he would fit VERY comfortably...Greg opened his trunk of his beautiful air condition Camary and I heard harp music as my fear left me..it was one of the biggest trunks I had seen, and my 85lb dog fit more than comfortably...the service just got better from there, hence the 5-Stars. 5-STARS WHY? Rachel was very warm, caring and considerate...very responsive to my questions. Greg, was even more-so, and that blew us away. My wife was a wreck she got Baxter from a rescue, so she's been there through it all. She LOVED everything about Greg! It takes special people to do this business right...2 of them (at the least) work at LEASH. They were outstanding, I asked all the questions (and more), questions that you will probably will ask...and they were perfect! Greg also has a Harley...my wife asked if he would bring Baxter back on the Harley...don't ask lol...Baxter loved car rides...never road a Harley. Greg didn't hesitate, he said you bet...and he did. Greg kept in constant contact with us, I'd ask a question and he would get back to me pretty much right away...he let us know when he would be bringing Baxter back and right on que Rachel texted me a couple days before to let me know. We got the Gold Package, which included a Paw Print (which obviously is a must) it wasn't plaster like my dogs from 12 yrs ago, it was plastic of some sort, but it was very realistic, so I know it was our dogs print...which now I can't say that about my plaster ones for sure, : / but we both said to each other, "I Really Like These"...my wife said she loved them. The Gold Package ran us $425, and because of LEASH we had a great peace of mind that he was handled with respect and care. We recommend LEASH with all our hearts!
