I give it a 3 and my husband gives it a 5. I found the pizza crust to have a cardboard texture/flavor. Perhaps they used too much flour? Either way, that killed the experience for some. The sauce and cheese were a beautiful combination and tasted amazing. At least they got that right. I ordered an Italian salad, comparable in size to a Chick-Fil-A salad, and they charged $13 for that. I get it, cold meats are expensive, but it doesn't justify the price. We shared a cheesecake and while the filling was just on point delicious, the crust was thick, dry, and flavorless. If you've never been, this is an order ahead of time venue. Like a little Caesar's/Dominoes setting. They do have a drive thru. There is a waiting area, but it is not dine-in. Not sure I will pick their pizza as my first choice, but considering my husband loved it, I'm sure we (He) will return. read more

I had heard great things about Rosati's from my friend who is originally from Chicago. He was so excited to see a location open here in Texas, so of course I had to see what the fuss was about. My next time I will make sure to dine in. (I cheated and had it delivered) I had the Deep Dish with pepperoni and mushroom. It was delightful! The buttery but slightly sweet crust holds up well to the flavor of the cheese complimented by the pepperoni and mushrooms. The sauce is robust and flavorful. This may be one of the Best Chicago Deep Dish Pizzas I have ever had. For desert I had the pistachio and chocolate cannoli. It was good. The shell of the cannoli was a little chewy for my taste but I don't know if that was because it was delivered to me. I'm excited to try more items from this restaurant! read more

I've only had Chicago Deep Dish Pizza once before and it was good but this place was definitely better. We ordered the 14 in. Monster Chicago Deep Dish and it was AMAZING! It had tons of toppings, sauce, cheese and the crust was perfectly cooked. If you've never tried this type of pizza you should at least try it bc it's not your regular pizza, it's way better! Like someone else said, it's kind of a mix between a pizza and a lasagna. The slices are really thick, saucy and full of toppings. For a normal person it would probably have enough cheese but since I'm a cheese addict I think next time I'm gonna get extra cheese and probably extra sauce too so I don't mess up the cheese to sauce ratio. read more

Honestly it has been a while since I posted a review, but this is one of two that I am doing. If you have read any of my reviews, I am from the Northeast originally, but I have lived and worked up and down the east coast and over to Texas. I have been waiting patiently for this place to open. When I passed today and saw the light on, I was giddy. I finished my shopping and had a perfect experience. Now there is a few catches, but we will get there in a minute. So I walked in with my daughter, we already had our order in mind. When we made it to the register and started to order with a few questions in between, I asked for a 14 inch Chicago deep dish with sausage. They were courteous and said they are taking a bit for pizza, they were really busy. My mind was set in a pie. Just as I said ok, one of the owners said hey, we just had a cancellation for the same pizza, would you like it? I asked how long it was there waiting and was told 5-10 minutes, I said no worries, I will have that and I would like to order some wings as long as they can hold the pie. They said no problem. We took the food home, both of us were extremely happy. The wings were great, nice size, well cooked great sauce, even the blue cheese dressing was good. I could only eat one piece of pizza, and a few wings. If you are not used to Chicago Deep dish, it has loads of cheese, a nice chunky tomato sauce, and of course the Italian sausage was great. It had a nice fennel flavor typical of the north east. I would go back in a heartbeat. Chicago Mike took care of us, I believe he is one of the owners too. Highly disappointed in our second visit after initially having a great experience! We were so excited to try this place after it opened, and we LOVED IT! The pie came cheesy and filled to the brim with sausage. We told all our family and friends about it and couldn't wait to order again. Until we ordered again... The second time around the pie was mostly crust. It came with maybe 1/3rd the amount of cheese as the first time, and I only got one single bite of sausage in the entire slice I ate. Disappointing because we had talked this place up so much and had family over for dinner, only to present them with a subpar experience of what we were expecting. This is a new restaurant and unfortunately the inconsistency is enough to turn us off. Shame, because we were looking forward to making this place a regular in our rotation. read more

I preordered my pizza at 2:30pm for 6:30pm. I only waited 10 extra minutes past my pickup time. The pizza was amazing I literally had tears in my eyes as I took my first bite because it was a taste from home I haven't had in a while. They're very busy as it's their first Friday night open, they ran out of deep dish dough at 6:30pm. Be prepared to wait good pizza takes time and they're short staffed as everyone else is. Most native Texans don't know pizza. Texas transplants especially from the Northeast and Midwest know pizza. People we know have been raving about this place and being pizza aficionados, we had to check it out..........which is where the disaster begins. Let's begin with the end, pizza is above average, but not great. I'm a pizza snob from NYC and Chi-Town deep dish. Now for the disaster which forces 2 stars. They claim online ordering, but no where to be found for this location. On several occasions I called during random weekdays to place an order and NO ONE EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE!!! My wife really wanted to try them although I was done.......Tried again on a Sat AM shortly after they opened. 3 call attempts, NO ANSWER.......4th attempt was put on hold for waaaaay too long. Placed a large order at 11:30ish for a 3PM pickup. Arrived right at 3 to a counter girl doodling on a piece of paper. When she decided to greet me, was told my order was " in the kitchen." 45 minutes of standing there observing lots of bodies milling around the back "doing things." I finally got my order without even a "sorry." The place is simply chaos and will not last if they don't get their service act together. The food was good, but not worth the hassle. I don't believe in begging people to take my money. I know where great pizza alternatives are in the area with great service and good people working there. Rosati's ain't on that list. read more

Always there are debates about pizza... preferences tend to be regional. I'm from Chicago but have been a Texan for the last 20+ years. Was excited to see the Rosatis sign months ago, as this was my go to in Chicago. I have tried 3 of the 4 types of pizza crusts the sell.. deep dish is very good (not Lou's but close), there double crust is very good and there thin (which was always their best up north) was excellent. You don't need extra cheese or sauce on these pizza's.. and they have the best around. Deep dish 2 pieces is a full meal. By far now the best pizza in the area. Service was nice, Their a week into full opening, so they are working out the kinks, give them time! read more

First time trying a Chicago style pizza. It was delicious. I've been to Chicago many times, just not a big pizza person. Thought this would be to doughy like a Sicilian. But was surprised the the crust was rather thin. It was great. My wife and daughter and I split a 14". Took us two days to finish it. The slices are big, the chunky tomato sauce is great with added sausage and mushroom along with the abundant cheese made a great pizza. Try Rosatis. You will be happy and full. read more

There haven't been any Chicago pies in our area. So long ago I researched and developed my own crust and sauce and since I travel to Chicago every so often I had a good basis to judge mine. So now we have a Rosati's here. I picked up a 14 inch pie with Italian Sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and bell pepper. After dinner, the family all agreed that Rosati's pizza was as good as mine. Which is awesome, because making a great pie is not just about a recipe and experience. The pizza is awesome and the staff is always extremely friendly. They have an awesome lunch special where you get massive jumbo slice of pizza and a soda for just $6 and it's so filling and delicious. The restaurant has minimal seating and no tables but on my first visit I stopped in with some family for lunch and they folded out and set a table for us to eat our pizza fresh. For this joint , My experience was awesome not only w the food but service. I placed my order of a thin crust pizza and a Italian beef to give a try but I placed it to a totally far other location. When I spoke to the manager Michael at this location he and another staff Cindy were helpful and more than accommodating and helped correct the issue . The thin crust was totally legit in not only the way they cooked it (crispy crust ) but also the taste (All it needed was to come in a paper bag like the do in the old joints ) . The beef was also legit with the Giardiniera I normally like it wet or juicy but this was good and it did the case . My friends from Chicago and I will go back and look forward to the deep dish. First time here. Pizza/Beef sandwich/Breadsticks. All well above average. I am deducting a star for customer service. We placed our order at 3 p.m. to be picked up at 4:45. We arrived at 4:46 at the drive through window. Employee told us that the pizza is almost finished. Another 5 minutes. Ok, no problem. I checked my order tracker and it said the order was ready to be picked up. At 5:02, I pulled around front and went in. I explained the situation to the young lady at the register and she responded with: "We are really backed up. The on line time is not always accurate." TO THE MANAGEMENT OF ROSATI'S. HERE IS THE CORRECT RESPONSE: "I apologize your order is not ready. Let me go check and get you a soft drink while you wait as a small way to apologize for the inconvenience." This would have cost Rosati's perhaps $.12. Had the employee been empowered to respond in this manner, Rosati's would receive 5 stars. Think about it. read more
