The atmosphere was relaxing, the music was great, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch. I left genuinely impressed. Unfortunately, my next two visits were completely different. On my second visit, there was a woman I was later told was a manager. What I witnessed from her was honestly shocking. She was loudly and aggressively speaking to staff members, including someone she referred to as her daughter, in a way that came across as belittling and disrespectful, all within full view and earshot of guests. My friend assured me this wasn't normally the atmosphere at Amore, so I gave it another chance and returned the following weekend. Unfortunately, I witnessed the same type of behavior again: yelling, talking down to employees, and creating an uncomfortable environment in the bar area. At that point, it no longer felt like an isolated bad night. As a guest, I don't expect perfection, and I understand that restaurants can be stressful environments. However, watching employees be spoken to that way, especially by someone in a management position, made it difficult to enjoy the experience. That's disappointing because Amore has so much going for it. The food, atmosphere, music, and other staff have made some of my experiences there genuinely enjoyable. I hope ownership takes a serious look at what's happening during service, because stronger, more professional leadership could make a tremendous difference. Unfortunately, after witnessing the same behavior on two separate visits, I'm hesitant to return.

The restaurant offers a comfortable yet semi elegant environment and feel. No need to dress up, but I wouldn't wear your worst. The menu offers kids meals but this is a date night place. Alma was our waitress and provided excellent service! We started with an old school gin martini. Gin, splash of vermouth, an olive and a twist of lemon. The first one was terrible. The bartender added lemon juice to it when we wanted lemon twist. That said, they made it right and it turned out delicious! We ordered the calamari to go along with our drink, but got the calamari early, so we had to eat it while it was hot. Needless to say, it took a while for our drink to come out and then be remade. The calamari was good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my other half ordered the petit filet. Presentation on the plate was great! The chicken fried steak was good, but very thin. The mashed potatoes and green beans were great. The wedge salad my other half got with his steak was wonderful. The blue cheese was very mild and excellent (and I'm not a blue cheese fan)! The petit filet was cooked perfectly but the risotto was clumpy and mushy. I hate to say this, but the steak was good, but not $50 good. My other half said it was kind of bland. Overall, this is a good little place. We do plan to go back and try other menu items like the seafood tacos or the almond crusted red snapper. We also want to enjoy the live pianist on Thursday nights. Give it a go!

Made the meal feel cheap in the plating. $29 for the dish was a bit much even for a steakhouse. Two carrots and more than 1 ounce of potato are an inexpensive addition and would have made the plate actually worth the hefty price tag.
