    Famous garlic bread
    Laura J.

Beautiful Italian restaurant on the lake in Conroe! I was impressed with the decor and the ambiance. The inside is so beautiful and I love all of the decor and the music. Our server was sooo sweet. As someone from CA, can I just say that the service and people in general in Texas are just the nicest and kindest people ever? I wish I got her name, she was lovely! Our food came out quick. I got the chicken parm with the penne pasta, my boyfriend got the pesto pasta with shrimp, and we also tried the famous garlic bread (which is famous for a reason by the way!) The garlic bread was so fresh and delicious. The dipping sauce sent it over the edge!! My chicken parm was very yummy, I was a little bit unimpressed by the penne and the bell peppers though I must admit. It looked and tasted a little bit like I made it myself. My boyfriend loved his shrimp pesto pasta! We finished the meal with some tiramisu which was the best I've ever had!! It was absolutely delicious and light and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, I would recommend Amore when in the Conroe area. Perfect date night spot!

Went to a conference in Conroe. Wanted a place close to Margaritaville that was locally owned. Lots to love about Amore Fine Dining. Went with a friend for a late dinner. They were so good about splitting our meal since neither of us was very hungry. Started with Burrata Cheese. Paired with fresh tomatoes with basil purée and tapenade olives, it was so delicious. The perfect start to a fun GNO. The Amore Famous Garlic Dinner Rolls are famous for a reason. Freshly baked rolls, toasted open-faced, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and garnished with garlic, parmesan cheese and served with bruschetta sauce. Sooooo good!!! Split the Chicken Veronese / Veronese Di Pollo. The fresh chicken breast sautéed with tomato, artichoke, and mushrooms in a lemon garlic cream sauce is usually served with asparagus and mashed potatoes, but we switched it up. I love really good gnocchi. Their Four Cheese Gnocchi is really, really good. So glad that we were splitting, because their gnocchi are also really, really rich. Would definitely make this substitution. Paired this with the Sautéed Spinach which was a nice balance against all of the other creamy Italian selections. Would highly recommend Amore Fine Dining for a fun GNO, date night or family dining. The restaurant is spacious with lots of cute nooks and crannies. Service was top notch. Easy to get a last-minute reservation or walk in on a Saturday night, unless you want to sit in the bar which was quite lively and booked up.

Always a top notch experience at Amore. Fine dining with family friendly vibes. Enjoyed a birthday dinner for my adult daughter with her 6 year old, her husband, one of our sons, my husband and myself. The special garlic rolls are a family melt in your mouth favorite. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and we got the seal of approval for spaghetti and meatballs from my grandson.

What absolutly amazing family run resturant with excellent quality food. This was my first time here for a private party and we had the best server. Jose knew the menu, gave great recommendations and provided exceptional service. The private room made the experiance for a large group feel very quaint and intimate. Honestly felt like a family meal at home but with food that made everyone quiet. The kitchen had the food perfectly timed to the table and so flavorful. Wine and spirit selection will not disappoint and staff knowledge will help guide your experience. If you are looking for a nice romantic evening out, special occasion, impress a client or just want to get your foodie on, Amore is the place. I can't wait to try other dishes.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the Conroe area. Fine dining and spirits. The atmosphere in the bar was perfect with a wonderful singer named Tati Dior. We enjoyed the mixed seafood grill and chicken Marsala with some lovely cocktails while Ms Tate sang some wonderful soft tunes creating a magical night. We had the creme brûlée and cappuccinos for dessert. Our server was a sweet young lady from Florida and her pleasant attitude was welcoming from the start. We eat here about once a month as it is a bit of a drive and we are never disappointed. The prices are very reasonable and the fresh pasta dishes are always classic Italian. The bar has the best balanced cocktails in Conroe.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. I hand the Mediterranean Red Snapper and added scallops. Both the fish and sallops were over cooked. The texture was tough and not enjoyable. The people in my party that had pasta dishes seemed to enjoy their meals. Our waiter was great and the garlic bread was good. The atmosphere could have been romantic if the food was better.

Five stars is not enough!! Amore is possibly the BEST restaurant in the Houston area! I don't say that lightly but whatever you look for in a fine restaurant, you'll find it here: a warm intimate decor, a great bar where I saw a bartender spend several minutes meticulous finishing a beautiful crafted drink, a great staff that treats you like they've known you for years, delicious food served perfectly, an old world Italian owner-chef named Alfred, who is obviously and deservedly proud and caring...AND an unbelievably wonderful singer named Kevin Weishaar on Friday and Saturday nights who sings the great American song book, and who would have been a star in the glory days of New York supper clubs. We walked in not knowing any of this and enjoyed one the best nights we've ever had at a restaurant.

The BREAD!!!!! Hard to believe that garlic bread could have such an impact, but it did. Delicious, garlicky, goodness! The waitstaff is wonderful, the food spectacular. Overall a great experience. Wish it was a little quieter.

This might have been one of my favorite meals I have had here! Went for a birthday celebration & it was phenomenal! Our waiter was attentive & brought us a cheesecake on top of our already ordered desserts! Very thoughtful! Food was just delicious, charcuterie board & burrata was YUMMMM! Will be back!

This restaurant is located by the lake so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the views. Our server Collin was pretty nice and was on top of everything. Checked in on us a few times & made sure our drinks were refilled. To start, I ordered their gumbo. For our mains I got 3 pounds of crawfish with sausage & it comes with 2 potatoes & 1 corn. My BF ordered their shrimp Po-boy with French fries. & for dessert I got some beignets. I also ordered the Cajun pasta with shrimp to go. Now, I'm not gonna lie I was a little disappointed that I was overcharged for my crawfish. So they had the happy hour which you can get 2 pounds for 14 bucks. However I was charged 20.99 for 2 pounds on top of that another 7.99 for an extra pound. Okay, now I know I'm not tripping but the math ain't mathing. I didn't look at my receipt until I got home, but I'm not going to be upset over a few bucks. * Seafood Gumbo- kind of expensive for a cup of gumbo since it was 9.69 however it didn't taste bad. The sauce was on the thicker side and it wasn't salty, it had the right amount of seasoning. I would order it again. 3.5/5 * Shrimp Po-boy with fries- loved the batter and the shrimp was fried to perfection. Sauce was good too. Fries were just okay. 3.3/5 * 3 pounds of crawfish with sausage, potatoes and corn- whoever is boiling in the back knows what they're doing. The crawfish was buttery, spice level wasn't too spicy but had good amount of heat. The spicy mayo dipping sauce that was provided was delicious. Sausage was above standard. Corn was cooked nicely but the potatoes could've been boiled for another minute or two. The only criticism I have is that they need to purge their crawfish a little better. 4/5 * Cajun Pasta with shrimp- the pasta was creamy and shrimp was cooked nicely. However for an extra 5 bucks to substitute for shrimp they could've given at least 6-8 shrimps. The 4 I received was on the skimpy side. 3.4/5 * Beignets- came out piping hot. It was doughy, pillowy and had good texture. It also wasn't oily which is good. I just wish they had some sort of dipping sauce for the beignets but I ain't mad at the whip cream though. 4/5 Overall, I'll definitely come back. The inside looks nice with a beach type vibes. The patio views next to the lake was also good. Collin was a solid server. They also have a full bar as well. I'll have to order some of their cocktails next time.

What a mistake I waited so long to make! This place did not disappoint. We started with the fondue, and wow... rich, creamy, and served piping hot like molten cheese lava in a proper fondue pot. The toasted French bread cubes were perfectly dunkable, and that cheese has more pull than the President. It's pure cheesy happiness in a pot--seriously, the cure for any bad mood. The beet carpaccio was another standout: beautifully thin slices drizzled with sweet fig balsamic, topped with goat cheese crumbles and fresh microgreens. Even the beet skeptics at our table went back for seconds. Next came the strawberry goat cheese salad, and I'm officially a convert. I used to avoid fruit on salads, but this one changed my mind completely. Sweet strawberries, creamy goat cheese, and crisp greens in perfect balance. I'm already planning my next visit with grilled salmon on top. For mains we shared the chicken paillard--light, bright with lemon, and paired with dreamy whipped mashed potatoes--and the steak frites. The steak was tender and juicy, but let's be honest... those frites stole the show. Fresh-cut, double-fried, perfectly crispy and salty. I could have eaten an endless basket of them. Absolute drool-worthy. We finished the night with sharing a plate of beignets. Warm, fluffy and dusted with powdered sugar. The service was phenomenal, especially for a large group. Our server never missed a beat, and the whole team was warm and attentive. The drink menu is excellent too--great selection of beers, wines, and creative cocktails. The Napoleon was our table favorite by far. Petite Suzette has officially earned a new set of regulars. We'll be back later this week, and I can't wait to try even more.
