Hidden away pizza food truck gem hidden behind a big bar called Crazy Train. Definitely a cool hangout spot with a few choices of food trucks and lots of outdoor seats. Looks like they have a stage so they may have live bands. The truck has a self checkout pad with a fairly simple no fuss menu. We chose their special they mentioned that's not normally on the menu, Pesto alla Vodka, Ricki Roni (pepperoni) and, garlic cheese sticks. Super friendly service and when we picked up they made sure we got some red pepper and parm. Food was done fairly quick, fresh, and TOASTY!!! They definitely know what they're doing. It's like a pan pizza where it's thick and fluffy in the center. Not greasy at all. Then the outside was crunchy from the cheese being toasted at the edges and bottoms are crisp. It's been about a month since I ordered a pie. I write this review because although very far from my house, I'm still aiming to find a Detroit-Style pizza in the area that rivals the one at Toasted Pizza Company- spoiler alert, no success, there are none. Apparently their meatza is the most popular pie. I won't tell you the name of the pie we ordered (because they no longer carry it), however, I'm pretty certain you'll still experience the joy of perfectly crisp crust, quality ingredients, and bright flavors from any pie you choose. The best darn Detroit Style Pizza you can find. I heard about Toasted Pizza from a foodie influencer. Since I stayed in the northside of Houston, I instantly decided Toasted Pizza would be our dinner. I placed an order online around noon and set pick up time at 5:45PM. I am glad I ordered ahead of time, because I checked back on their Instagram and notice the owner posted sold out! I ordered the spicy pig which consists of their house red sauce, cheese, house pickled jalapenos, char pepperoni, ricotta and Texas Hot Honey. The pizza was delicious, and the crust had a nice crisp to it. But next time I order the spicy pig, I'll asks them to hold the ricotta. It wasn't for me. The Supreme Feen - cheese, house made red sauce, all the veggies fix & sausage. This was another favorite of mine. Can't go wrong with a supreme pizza. The place is not hard not to find. A new favorite spot for Detroit-style pizza! The pizza was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and had the perfect crunch. We're big fans of a good Detroit-style slice, and this place did not disappoint! We placed an online order and arrived about 10 minutes early. When we walked up to the food truck, they let us know they were still working on it - no problem at all since the guys were super friendly and welcoming. While we waited, we grabbed some beers, found a spot at the picnic tables, and enjoyed watching the game. I wanted to let y'all know that this place was up here in Magnolia slinging together awesome 'Detroit style pizza' I tried the pickle pizza (forgot the name but it's the only pickle pizza on the menu) and it's one of the top best pizzas I've had. Why 5 stars? Because this is as good as it gets for Detroit style pizza. --- --- --- My wife discovered Toasted on channels outside of Yelp and eventually shared a video with me of some guy on TikTok claiming that he travels all over and that Toasted is the best pizza he's had in a long time. Apparently word has traveled pretty fast because if you follow Toasted on social media, they are constantly selling out and urging folks to pre-order to ensure they get their fix. We ordered the Ricky Roni and the Rancher, and both ended up liking the Ricky Roni more, but were glad to have tried two very different options. The thing that makes Toasted stand out is the dough. It's the perfect combination of crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. We love Jet's Pizza, which is the most mainstream Detroit style pizza place in the area, but the difference with Jet's is that after you eat it, you feel like you gained 10 pounds. Toasted is much lighter than that, but also not so light that it's not satiating. Assuming Toasted follows this same trajectory, there will eventually be a brick and mortar restaurant and it will be highly popular. I look forward to rooting on that success! read more

Advertisement works! After seeing multiple influencers on Instagram rate this place highly, I decided to make the drive up from Houston and I was so glad I did. Pizza has always been my favorite food but over the years I've gained a new appreciation for all the different kinds and Detroit style has been the type that has made the most lasting impression on me. I've tried popular Detroit-style pizzas around Houston and in other cities, but Toasted Pizza might just be the best of them all! The edges were exactly what you'd hope for, crispy and cheesy, but the toppings stole the show. I'm a sucker for cupped pepperoni and hot honey and adding the ricotta cheese brings it up to elite level, IMO. The jalapeños added a nice acidity and that bacon jam needs to be bottled and sold. Love the Italian Cheese Bread from Little Caesar's so when I saw it on this menu, I had to try it and it's perfect. Super cheesy and garlicky, what else do you need? I'll tell you what: their homemade ranch. Seriously, that ranch was so good, I could have eaten it by itself. I had a hard time choosing on a pie because multiple looked so good. That Pickle Back will be my next target, no doubt.
