Hardin Store Road Store.. Came in the store around 730 pm on a Monday night. Was greeted by staff and management. Store was clean and fresh. The staff was quick to get our drinks and take our order. We'll be back. The pizza was really good. My wife and I both liked our pizzas. The bread rolls were also pretty awesome. Sadly, service from both the kitchen and the wait staff was very slow. We'd heard they were down to two servers and one of them was new. Our server was great, but clearly running pretty hard. The dining room was well worn, but had a homey feel. 4.28.24 We came in today for the buffet and it was not their normal quality. They seemed to be off their game today. A few of the employees looked sad to be working there today. The pizzas were over cooked and had to ask for them to make new pizzas for the buffet. The salad bar lettuce was better today than it has been. Green and fresh, Thank you for that. They removed beets from the salad bar. I miss those. They also removed bite size pieces of cheesecake from the buffet. I miss those too. Now there is only cannolis for dessert. (I'm not a fan of those) Something different today was they gave every table fresh garlic bread with marinara sauce. Never received that before. They were good but a little over cooked. While in Texas at a friends this is our go to spot to order take out after a long day. Since I do not live here I always forget about how big the menu really is. They have a variety of pizzas, pastas, salads and more. We actually ordered take out from this spot twice on my last visit. The first time I went with the chicken alfredo, other than adding some salt and pepper it was a great comfort meal for my first day there. The second time I shared a pizza and salad with a friend. We always get delivery from Pizzalios. The pizzas are always hot and fresh! I get the margarita pizza and my other half gets the meat pizza. Love the Greek salad and house dressing. Honestly one of the best chicken Caesar salads around!! The chicken is always fresh and tender and the Romain lettuce is always fresh and crispy not once have I ever had a soggy salad from here. They go above the mark and make their Caesar dressing in house which is divine. And to top it off they have thick pieces of Parmesan all over the salad! They have a drive-through which is convenient and easy! We like to go for lunch they have a Buffay also like to take the kids here in the evening because they have a playground which is enormous . Wow! What a visit! We made it in time for the lunch buffet! All you can eat salad, soup, pasta, pizza and desserts. I left STUFFED! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious! I'll start with saying I always had my food delivered from here and it was always pretty decent for a small town Italian restaurant that's so close. However, I will never eat here again after my first dine in experience. I took my mom and daughter so that we could let my 3 year old enjoy the playground, (we frequented the connecting Mexican restaurant often) and the service was very subpar and it was not crowded at all. Then I see a giant mutant rat run across the entire restaurant and go back behind a bench connected to a wall. When we informed the waitress you could tell that was not the first time she'd heard that complaint... I kept my feet up the remainder of the time, and that was my first and last visit. First time visiting this restaurant and my experience was overall pleasant. Heard about the kid-friendly nature, which exceeded expectation. The indoor playground kept my toddler entertained. There is two rooms of play equipment, one for toddlers and one for bigger kiddos. The playground floor is made of rubber mulch, so expect your little one to get a little dirty. As far as the food, the complimentary breadsticks with marinara sauce were delicious! Had a pizza, salad, and chicken parmesan. The hand tossed pizza had great flavor and the salad had the right amount of dressing. The garlic bread was great that came with chicken parmesan but the chicken parmesan was alright. I stopped in for dinner on a Friday nite about 7 pm. . Not busy, lots of staff available who were very eager to please but not too intrusive. The food is not outstanding. Salad bar is adequate though the mixed greens were very dry and wilted. The breadsticks were good covered in butter and cheese. The marinara that accompanied them was a bit tart, almost vinegary. The Chicken fettichini was plentiful but lacked any garnish garnish to detract from its all white display. A bit of dried parsley would have made it look appetizing. . The dish was plentiful but some of the chicken was stringy. Skip the pizza crust bread it comes with just more carbs in a carb heavy meal. The resturant is obviously catering to a mostly family client base, it has a playground attached. They are more practical than date nite ready. No stoneware plates, melamine; old, inexpensive flatware. It is not a place to impress, butadequate for an ok italian meal. All in all I will not be back and I am a local. read more
