I never thought I would drive 45 minutes to an hour just to get pizza, but after seeing the reviews of Juan Jose and Fiamma Vera Pizza in Cypress, I had to give it a try. My first visit was on Super Bowl Sunday, and I picked up a few different options to share. My friends absolutely loved it. The crust is especially unique. It is chewy, but in a soft, tender way rather than the traditional crispy style. He has clearly discovered some magic in the way he makes this pizza because it is unlike anything I have had in Houston. The toppings are high quality, and the sauce has a great complementary flavor, but admittedly, the hero of the story is the dough. Pizza is a competitive market and there are a lot of options, especially in Houston. However, this one is going places. Big things are in his future, and I would not be surprised to see several brick and mortar locations across Texas in the next five to ten years. I would not change a thing. I genuinely hope he has tremendous success and maybe one day opens a location a little closer to me so the drive is shorter for what might be the best pizza in Houston. PS As an added revenue opportunity, I would suggest offering dipping sauces. That incredible crust would be perfect with a variety of different sauces on the side. read more

The review is kind of swayed because I purchased during a storm and it took awhile for me to get to the food truck. Restaurant is a food truck that was in the gas station parking lot. I got the pepperoni pizza for $17.50. The pizza was light had a little char on the bottom. Pepperoni was better than the average pizza around Houston. read more

Excellent pizza, and mind blowing to think it came from a food truck! I ordered the hot honey pepperoni and it was delicious. The neopolitan crust had a perfect char, some crunch, and just the right amount of chewiness. The chef kept checking in on us, explaining his process, and asking what we thought about the pizza. He was very friendly and laid back. Yes, it is in a gas station parking lot, and there is traffic noise nearby, but it is well worth the visit. I'm definitely making it a go to stop whenever I visit Houston. One pizza is a good size to feed two people. read more

Smelled so good on the ride home had to eat a slice before taking a pic. Sauce is great and crust is very doughy in a good way. Talked with the owner (or a worker I am not 100% sure) when I picked up the food and he was very personable and said he was from New York (pizza was soo good so that definitely shows). If you call to order they will send you text updates when your order is being made and when it's ready so that's great too. Overall no complaints highly recommend!!! read more

Just tried this place for the first time. It will absolutely not be my last. The gentlemen working there were very nice and welcoming. The pizza? Simply amazing! I got the meat lovers. The toppings were flavorful but not overwhelming. The crust was simply delicious. You don't get a pizza like that without somebody putting a ton of work into it. You can taste it in every bite. I am really rooting for these guys to be a massive success. Can't recommend Fiamma Vera enough! We visited for the first time today and ordered the ham and mushroom pizza with pepperoni--and wow. This isn't just any pizza. The flavor was incredible, and the crust was next-level. They shared that their dough goes through a 36-hour process, and whatever they're doing absolutely shows. Beyond the food, the attention to detail really stood out. The truck is decorated so tastefully, and even the tables and chairs are thoughtfully matched, adding so much charm to the experience. The pizza is definitely a 10/10! I will be back many times. The toppings are fresh and the crust was perfection. They have some sort of ground beef meat that I added to my pizza and it tasted wonderful. Fantastic Neapolitan! It was so good I ordered an additional pizza to take home.. definitely recommend this pizza truck.
