    Blanco Pizza

Why 5 stars? Because the meal, as a whole, was exactly what I was hoping for. --- --- --- Despite the fact that I had stuffed my face for lunch and vowed never to eat again, I started feeling those hunger temptations around 6pm. I had wanted to check out Marini's for quite some time, and it seemed like it would really hit the spot at a moment like this. I couldn't resist the opportunity to try out the blanco pizza. It looked the best according to the menu and the photos on Yelp. I really enjoyed it, but I will say, it was pretty rich, so I felt like I couldn't eat that much of it. When I checked in on Yelp upon arriving, an offer popped up for free garlic knots. Since they were free and I had considered ordering them anyway, I couldn't resist. This ended up being a great decision because the marinara dipping sauce was a way to nicely mix it up with the white pizza. My wife ordered a supreme submarini, which I only tried two bites of, but I thought it was awesome, as did the wife. Lastly, we grabbed a chocolate cake and a turtle cheesecake. I didn't try the chocolate, but the wife enjoyed it. The turtle cheesecake was fine, but I was regretting not ordering the limoncello. Rounding up from 4.5 stars to 5 here to support a nice, family business. I will definitely come back in the future!

We ordered Marini's delivery. The food is not bad but a little pricey for what you get. The crust was very chewy on the New York Style pizza but the toppings tasted good.

We just moved to Walden so this was the first time we had ordered from Marino Pizza. The pizza was average at best. For $20 pizza that was small would be better than most this one wasn't. Sad I really had high hopes. Service was so just ok to below average. The staff was too busy kidding around other than interacting with customers. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting only if staff were present it may have been better. We probably wouldn't go back didn't feel we got our money's worth.

Perfect place to get pizza if you've been out on the lake all day or just need a dinner in. The classic pepperoni pizza was delicious. I would pass on the chicken wings, they looked good with good flavor but unfortunately they were not cooked well. They needed to be more crispy. The service was great and everyone was so nice.

Pizza, sandwiches, wings, pasta. Looks good

I'm not in the area too often, and when I am, it's always one of those places that looks interesting but usually doesn't win out. Always the bridesmaid! Recently, I was out with my son and decided to finally make it happen. First off, it absolutely looks more like a house than a business, both inside and out. The dining room consists of 3 tables and legitimately looks like a family dining room, minus the fact that there are 3 tables instead of one. Then there's a bathroom that, again, looks like the bathroom of a home, and then there's the main area with all of the food. There's a case full of empanadas and quiches, as well as a slew of pre-packaged goods and treats, some of which are frozen or refrigerated. I stuck to the fresh stuff. The empanadas were great, especially the ham and cheese. I ordered two of those and wish I'd ordered like 4-5 because they were excellent. My least favorite was the beef, but I still enjoyed it, just not as much as the ham & cheese or chicken. But my 2nd favorite thing was the quiche. You guessed it, I wished I'd ordered more than just one. For dessert, I went with a Pionono. It wasn't my favorite, but totally fine overall. My son loved it, for the record. I do occasionally have a medical appointment in the area and definitely know where I'll be stopping in next time when I need a post-appt snack.

A real pleasure coming here. The atmosphere is very welcoming. They have Argentinian cuts of beef, cheeses, sausages, chimichurri, candies, mate, and of course, empanadas. It is very nice to find all these things in just one physical place without having to buy online. My only recommendation for them would be to try to include Argentinian wines and maybe some grilling tools like Argentinian knives and provoleteras. But other than that and even without those things, they are a great place to shop at.

This place is definitely not located in a fancy area, and I have to admit, I had second thoughts the moment I pulled into the crowded and chaotic parking lot. Located in the heart of Latino Town in Spring Branch, the atmosphere immediately reminded me of back home (Venezuela). The vibe is different, authentic, and familiar in the best way. I trusted the process because this spot had been on my list for a while, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Once you make it through the parking adventure and walk inside, you are pleasantly surprised by a small, quaint, clean, and charming restaurant. The aroma coming from the kitchen was enough to convince me I had made the right choice. We were seated right away during a busy lunch hour. The staff works together as a team, and the service was efficient and attentive. But, of course, the star of the show was the food. I had a steak cooked to perfection with sweet plantains, and it was absolutely delicious. They offer an extensive menu featuring flavors from Argentina to Venezuela, with plenty of options to choose from. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and in a timely manner. If you are in the Spring Branch area and craving grilled, savory, authentic food, this is definitely a place to check out. I will absolutely be coming back. A true hidden gem!

We all shared freshly baked bread with chimichura sauce and marinated vegetables salsa criolla, delicious empanadas of all sorts, the Argentina Grill parrillada platter, and flan and Nutella crepes for dessert. Pampa Grill & Market is a beloved family-owned neighborhood gem run by Argentine owners. Definitely a fabulous experience all around. Pampa serves wine, but they also allow BYOB, so we brought a delicious 2022 Decero Remelinos Malbec and John and Katherine brought a lovely white blend, also from Argentina. Genuinely a great option. Service above par. Food was delicious…read more The bread was so soft and paired with a chimichurri and a pecan butter. The chimichurri had a kick to it from time to time, but I still ate it because it was really good with the slight sourness I like! The guacamole chicharron was so crispy and flavorful! I would come back just for that. We also ordered from the restaurant week menu. I got the Flora di Zucca which is zucchini blossoms. I genuinely thought it would be pieces of zucchini cut into shapes of flowers, but it was the actual flower! It was yummy! When I seemed confused, they let me try their regular zucchini too! I got the soup of the day which was a creamy mushroom soup and upgraded the sirloin to the filet. Both were worth getting. The filet was a little more cooked than I liked, but still pink in the middle, seasoned well, and tender. Their mashed potatoes honestly might be the best I've ever had at a restaurant. They gave me a sauce to go with the meal that they couldn't exactly describe. I can't exactly describe either. It was good though. I feel like it was similar to stroganoff gravy, savory and sour and a hint of something else. I upgraded one of the sides to the strawberry mozzarella salad, but I did not care for the vinaigrette that came with it. The pistachio cake was not what I was expecting. It was ok, but didn't really taste like pistachio aside from the pistachio crumble on top and was slightly dry. For just the chicharron and the mashed potatoes, I'd come here again. But pretty much everything we ate was solid and worth trying.

We explained that we didn't and that we had planned to walk in because the website was showing plenty of availability. We were then told that they were no longer taking reservations and that they had no tables available. I was honestly surprised and disappointed, especially because the online reservation system was still showing multiple available times. If walk-ins were not being accepted or reservations were required, that should have been communicated clearly. It would have saved us the trip and the disappointment of arriving with our family only to be turned away. I completely understand that restaurants can have policies regarding reservations and capacity, but the conflicting information between what was available online and what we were told at the door was frustrating. We were genuinely excited to try Astor's Table because of Houston Restaurant Weeks, so unfortunately, this experience left a disappointing first impression.
