Ok, my history with Pizza Shack in Montgomery, Tx, until my visit on Friday, May 8, 2026 @ approximately 7:00 pm, I had eaten at Pizza Shack ordering the lg. Shack Special and a large bowl of green olives to be eaten with my pizza. Now this was my usual order and I never had an issue. I paid for the green olives as a salad. Never expected them free. This was my order at least every 2 - 3 weeks. My wife would order spaghetti. Personally, I love the pizza. I have over the many years of supporting this establishment encouraged many other people to try their pizza. But on this Friday, the Manager would only let me get enough green olives for one slice of my pizza. This really upset me. I should be able to get what I want to eat with my pizza but he refused. I hate to admit this but it will be my last time to ever visit this pizza establishment. I'll definitely miss the pizza. This manager did not try to accommodate me the customer. read more

I usually have the blackened chicken and the fettuccine Alfredo... it's delicious fresh consistent the salads are crisp and very fresh. It's a very family oriented atmosphere even though when I go, I usually sit at the bar because I'm by myself people talk to you the staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. My family and I came for lunch on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating available. We had the nicest waiter who was very accommodating and got us what we needed. We started with the appetizer sampler with garlic bread, fried mozzarella and fried ravioli. It was all super delicious and we devoured it. For our entree, we got the veggie pizza and spinach and garlic. The spinach and garlic was my favorite! I really loved the flavors of it. Amazing experience!! What a great date night! Short wait so we sat at the bar and decided to stay there! The service from the bartenders was impeccable and the drinks were great!! My husband enjoyed a Mexican old fashion and a standard Old fashion and enjoyed both!! I sipped from the seasonal menu and will definitely be going back to see what Fall brings! We came here for pizza because we were in the area, it was getting late, and the kids were hungry. Funny enough, the menu was so varied that none of us got the pizza. We had 2 adults, a preteen, and 2 toddlers. My preteen and I got the large sized strawberry walnut salad (we swapped the Gorgonzola for feta because we aren't fans of the Gorgonzola) with raspberry vinaigrette. It was incredibly good! There were plenty of toppings and dressing. They obviously didn't cheap out on us. The lettuce and strawberries were fresh and flavorful. I would definitely order this again and I'll probably be craving it. My husband ordered the caprese salad. It was alright. Just what would be expected of a caprese salad with lettuce. I'm not sure what kind of dressing it came with but he got some balsamic and used that instead, going with the traditional flavors. The ingredients were fresh but it wasn't outstanding and I'm not sure he would order it again. My 3 year old ordered the Mac and cheese. I'm positive he was 100% expecting the leading boxed brand as he normally refuses to eat anything but that. There's a first time for everything, he ate it ALL! No complaints, no hesitation, and not even a question about his usual brand choice. This is a huge win as he is monumentally picky. One note on this, my 3 year old is a type one diabetic and there was no nutrition information available for any of the food. I would love to see that shared somewhere or available on their website. My almost 2 year old for the ravioli. He's never had ravioli before but he loved it. I was a bit nervous because most of these places serve ravioli with crunchy edges or barely any sauce. These were perfectly pillowy, well cooked, and there was plenty of sauce. It came with 4 good-sized raviolis and he ate it all! I think it's the perfect serving for little kids. They satisfied everybody in my family and that is HARD so we will likely be back. The restaurant is loud and there are a lot of large groups. We didn't mind the large groups or noise but we have 3 kids so not much bothers us by way of noise. We were quoted a 35 minute wait in a Friday night and I think it was actually closer to 20, so that was nice. I do think they had other areas that may have been a little nicer or better for a smaller group or a date but I'm not sure. There were three grownups in our party and despite the name of the redtaurant, there was not a pizza ordered by any of us! We had small children with us, and our friends were simply finishing up changing their daughter in the car. The host's tone and demeanor were rude and dismissive from the start. There was no logical reason for refusing to seat us, especially when the restaurant was nearly empty. **Regardless of any "policy," those policies are intended for when the restaurant is busy or under specific circumstances, not when there are 15-20 open tables and customers waiting politely to sit.** Instead of using common sense or showing professionalism, Justin told us we could go sit at the bar if we wanted to get a drink, despite the fact that we had **four young children with us, including one as young as two years old.** That response showed an incredible lack of awareness and maturity. A grown adult with proper training and judgment would have handled the situation with far more understanding and professionalism. To make matters worse, after leaving an honest review about the experience, I began receiving direct messages from someone named **Renee**, who I'm assuming is either a manager, employee, or possibly a family member of the host. Her messages were unprofessional and harassing, attempting to discredit and insult me rather than take accountability or address the issue appropriately. I went to this restaurant with my family of five, along with two friends and their 3-year-old daughter. When we arrived, there were easily 15-20 open tables, yet the host refused to seat us because our friends were finishing changing their daughter in the car. We had just left the pumpkin patch hot, tired, and ready for some food and drinks, but instead were met with unnecessary attitude. The male host at the front was extremely rude in both his tone and demeanor. He insisted we couldn't be seated until our entire party was physically inside, even though 5 out of 8 of us were already there, ready to order, and the restaurant was practically empty (only one or two tables occupied). The Pizza Shack is a really good Italian restaurant in an unexpected location. We had the fried mushrooms, the strawberry and walnut salad, the garlic knots, and the Caribbean flatbread. The service was amazing. We were seated quickly at a larger than normal restaurant table. All of the tables are very accommodating. They had Astros playing on the TV. And our drinks were replenished quickly. I was blown away by everything that they had on their menu. It all looks so good. I had a very hard time choosing what I wanted. The mushrooms were lightly breaded and exceptionally fried. They come with the choice of horseradish sauce, or ranch. I tried both they were amazing. The strawberry walnut salad came with a raspberry vinaigrette that was top notch. I could eat one of those salads every day. The Caribbean flatbread had ham, pineapple and jalapeños and I think a honey drizzle on top. It was scrumptious. It took a Hawaiian pizza to a whole new level. And the crust was exceptional as well. Today on a busy Saturday night my fiancé and I showed up to this location for a little dinner date, it was pretty packed and we waiting about 25 minutes to seat the two of us which wasn't to bad. We ordered the "Spinach Artichoke Dip", I got a Build your own pizza, my fiancé got the calzone with 3 toppings, then finished it off with a cannoli and Italian cream cake. Last minute decision to meet a friend for lunch. We were both pleasantly surprised at our meals. I had the French dip on the lunch menu and my friend had the chicken Parmesan sandwich on the lunch menu. Service was great. Kept our drinks refilled and very friendly. Everything was great! Food is delicious and there's a little window where you can watch your pizza in the process. Servers are all so nice and prompt. The music is good and not too loud.
