The food at Pizza Shack is wonderful. The restaurant is very inviting and extremely clean. Being local, we do dine here at least once every few weeks. We always ask for Kelly to be our server. She is phenomenal. We always marvel at how good she is. We sincerely hope the management at Pizza Shack realize how lucky they are to have her on their staff. read more

We took the family to Pizza Shack for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The interior features a lot of natural wood, creating a warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. We were seated immediately, and when my wife requested a booth, the staff happily accommodated her. We tend to eat lower carb, so we ordered a cauliflower crust pizza. It's an excellent option for anyone looking for a more carb-friendly meal. The crust had a nice crispness, and the pizza tasted fresh and full of flavor. For the kids, we ordered the chicken mac and cheese, and they absolutely loved it. Our server was kind, attentive, and accommodating throughout the meal, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a great family dinner and will definitely be returning. If you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food--including great lower-carb options--Pizza Shack is worth a visit. read more

Walked in my kids they wanted pizza for lunch , I had my cup of water in hand immediately the host told me I could not have a water cup in the building The young lady called over her manager , she approached with a blank stare then after she proceeded to say, I could not have my water cup in here . I was shocked I could not believe that they would lose our business because of a cup ,wow money just walked out the door . We will never return & I will tell everyone to stay away , because they clearly don't care about their customer ! read more

Stopped by for the first time and it was busy but our party of 7 was seated in less than 5 minutes. The staff are so friendly. The food is fresh, large portions, and delicious. So many options. It's quiet enough even when there is a crowd. Nice place to visit with family or friends as they accommodate large groups. Family friendly! read more

Best Italian In Montgomery! Don't waste your time trying anyone else. Best service and flavors.

What an unexpected surprise! We were looking to grab a bite on the way back to town and the kids don't (usually) complain about pizza. The parking lot was packed but we waited no more than 5 minutes to be seated. Madison was THE BEST server, perfect amount of attentiveness and gave us a leads up that the kitchen was a bit in the weeds so we ordered an appetizer. The garlic knots were EXCELLENT, our pizzas were perfection and we had leftovers to take home. I see us making the drive up this way again. Thanks Madison! The only thing "wrong" is that the restaurant is too nice to be called a "shack" read more

The food is really good it a truly a Montgomery "must go see " the service is very excellent and I have been more than 45 times and each time it feels like the food keeps getting better and better. The only think that annoys me but it the smallest thing. It can get really loud in there but if you dont want loud then go during not a rush. read more

Food is made fresh, service is consistently great, the ambience is enjoyable. The bar runs the width of the main seating area with 2 large tv screens. The music is nostalgic, and there is a comfortable amount of space between tables. Daily specials are available M-F. The pizza is delicious. This is our go-to place! read more

Great food and great prices. The food is delicious and portions are big. You won't walk away hungry. I had a fantastic bbq burger at a pizza place! lol. Mitchell was our server and he was very attentive and took good care of us. We love this place. Managers please make sure your cook staff are wearing their hats correctly. Thanks read more

The Pizza Shack consistently has fantastic pizza and an excellent salad bar. Servers are helpful and knowledgeable.

Always good! Pizza made by hand ( kids love to look through the window and see the pizza being tossed) pasta dishes are spot on . The shrimp poppers are to die for. Kid friendly, nice bar read more

I do not recommend Pizza Shack. I needed to place a large catering order for pick up for a funeral service. Service started at 11 so needed to pick up before 11 am. I explained the situation but was still told no. That's fine. I called down to Napolis in Montgomery and they were more than happy to have my business. I have live in Montgomery since I was 10 years old and have been dining at pizza shack since they open next to Brookshire brothers in the late 90's early 2000's and have decided I will not be going back here. I suggest everyone start going to Napolis. The owners are super nice and honestly their food is way better. read more

We just can't get over how terrible everything tasted the last few times we went. The only way we can describe the food is that everything tastes like dishwater. read more

Trash food. Greeted with for the first time in Texas withthe old, sir you can't have your soda can here. We tried twice. Another Texas fail. Try Marini's pizza if you want pizza from a shop that pays attention to the quality of their product. Why is food so lackluster here and why are the parking lots full? I'm perplexed. The pizza is abysmal. Worse than Chuck E. Cheese! People in the area don't have very high expectations that's for certain! read more

Been loving the pizza shack. I just moved to the area recently and I go at least once a week. I usually have the blackened chicken and the fettuccine Alfredo... it's delicious fresh consistent the salads are crisp and very fresh. It's a very family oriented atmosphere even though when I go, I usually sit at the bar because I'm by myself people talk to you the staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. The pizza is incredible also! read more

My family and I came for lunch on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating available. We had the nicest waiter who was very accommodating and got us what we needed. We started with the appetizer sampler with garlic bread, fried mozzarella and fried ravioli. It was all super delicious and we devoured it. For our entree, we got the veggie pizza and spinach and garlic. The spinach and garlic was my favorite! I really loved the flavors of it. For 2 pizzas, 1 appetizer, and 4 drinks our total was $85 which was pretty good. read more

We came here for pizza because we were in the area, it was getting late, and the kids were hungry. Funny enough, the menu was so varied that none of us got the pizza. We had 2 adults, a preteen, and 2 toddlers. My preteen and I got the large sized strawberry walnut salad (we swapped the Gorgonzola for feta because we aren't fans of the Gorgonzola) with raspberry vinaigrette. It was incredibly good! There were plenty of toppings and dressing. They obviously didn't cheap out on us. The lettuce and strawberries were fresh and flavorful. I would definitely order this again and I'll probably be craving it. My husband ordered the caprese salad. It was alright. Just what would be expected of a caprese salad with lettuce. I'm not sure what kind of dressing it came with but he got some balsamic and used that instead, going with the traditional flavors. The ingredients were fresh but it wasn't outstanding and I'm not sure he would order it again. My 3 year old ordered the Mac and cheese. I'm positive he was 100% expecting the leading boxed brand as he normally refuses to eat anything but that. There's a first time for everything, he ate it ALL! No complaints, no hesitation, and not even a question about his usual brand choice. This is a huge win as he is monumentally picky. One note on this, my 3 year old is a type one diabetic and there was no nutrition information available for any of the food. I would love to see that shared somewhere or available on their website. My almost 2 year old for the ravioli. He's never had ravioli before but he loved it. I was a bit nervous because most of these places serve ravioli with crunchy edges or barely any sauce. These were perfectly pillowy, well cooked, and there was plenty of sauce. It came with 4 good-sized raviolis and he ate it all! I think it's the perfect serving for little kids. They satisfied everybody in my family and that is HARD so we will likely be back. The restaurant is loud and there are a lot of large groups. We didn't mind the large groups or noise but we have 3 kids so not much bothers us by way of noise. We were quoted a 35 minute wait in a Friday night and I think it was actually closer to 20, so that was nice. I do think they had other areas that may have been a little nicer or better for a smaller group or a date but I'm not sure. There were a lot of people dressed up nicely so I'm sure people go there for group events. read more

I just had major surgery. I can only drink a specific water mix my doctor prescribed. I cannot drink sugar, caffeine, nothing but the vitamins and stuff my doctor puts in it. Your stupid restaurant wouldn't allow me to bring my water in!! I can't drink anything else, I'm a 100% disabled veteran who drinks upwards of 120 ozs of water a day. They refused me service because I had my MEDICALLLY PROVIDED water with me. I will never, ever go back to this place. They are more worried about their sales for drinks and food than they care about my health!!??!! What is wrong with you people? We used to love it here too, no longer will we come and we will no longer bring our friends and family like we use to when they come into town. You lost good customers because you wouldn't let me bring my medically NEEDED water in. You people are ridiculous. Bye, Bye, BYE!!! read more

Amazing experience!! What a great date night! Short wait so we sat at the bar and decided to stay there! The service from the bartenders was impeccable and the drinks were great!! My husband enjoyed a Mexican old fashion and a standard Old fashion and enjoyed both!! I sipped from the seasonal menu and will definitely be going back to see what Fall brings! Caprese salad was okay. The vinaigrette was perfect, cheese was fresh, but I was not a fan of the spring mix. Pizza was beyond delish!! We will definitely be back. Don't skip dessert--get the bread pudding! read more

Server Kelly G - Outstanding! Caesar salad and House salad fresh and tasty Salmon platter - Great healthy meal! Calzone first I've had - very good. Is there a shortage of pepperoni or are they just watching their costs? My last three pizzas have looked like this. Some slices don't even have one piece of pepperoni other slices share pepperoni. They used to be really generous with the pepperoni. I'm not sure what's going on there. read more

The Pizza Shack is a really good Italian restaurant in an unexpected location. We had the fried mushrooms, the strawberry and walnut salad, the garlic knots, and the Caribbean flatbread. The service was amazing. We were seated quickly at a larger than normal restaurant table. All of the tables are very accommodating. They had Astros playing on the TV. And our drinks were replenished quickly. I was blown away by everything that they had on their menu. It all looks so good. I had a very hard time choosing what I wanted. The mushrooms were lightly breaded and exceptionally fried. They come with the choice of horseradish sauce, or ranch. I tried both they were amazing. The strawberry walnut salad came with a raspberry vinaigrette that was top notch. I could eat one of those salads every day. The Caribbean flatbread had ham, pineapple and jalapeños and I think a honey drizzle on top. It was scrumptious. It took a Hawaiian pizza to a whole new level. And the crust was exceptional as well. The garlic knots came with a large ramekin of marinara sauce. They were fresh and doughy. I will definitely be back. It was such a treat! And when I go back, I'm gonna try the stuffed cupcakes. They look amazing! read more

Server was very helpful in making recommendations, and was spot on about the onion rings. They are pretty phenomenal! There were three grownups in our party and despite the name of the redtaurant, there was not a pizza ordered by any of us! 1 out of 5 -- Extremely disappointing experience and unprofessional follow-up** I came to this restaurant with my family and friends after a long day out, hot, tired, and ready to enjoy some food and drinks. There were plenty of open tables, at least a dozen or more, yet the male host at the front (named *Justin*) refused to seat us until every single person in our party physically walked inside, even though the majority of us were already present and ready to order. We had small children with us, and our friends were simply finishing up changing their daughter in the car. The host's tone and demeanor were rude and dismissive from the start. There was no logical reason for refusing to seat us, especially when the restaurant was nearly empty. **Regardless of any "policy," those policies are intended for when the restaurant is busy or under specific circumstances, not when there are 15-20 open tables and customers waiting politely to sit.** Instead of using common sense or showing professionalism, Justin told us we could go sit at the bar if we wanted to get a drink, despite the fact that we had **four young children with us, including one as young as two years old.** That response showed an incredible lack of awareness and maturity. A grown adult with proper training and judgment would have handled the situation with far more understanding and professionalism. To make matters worse, after leaving an honest review about the experience, I began receiving direct messages from someone named **Renee**, who I'm assuming is either a manager, employee, or possibly a family member of the host. Her messages were unprofessional and harassing, attempting to discredit and insult me rather than take accountability or address the issue appropriately. The entire situation, from the rude host to the follow-up harassment, reflects a serious lack of professionalism and customer service awareness. It's unfortunate because our server was actually great once we were finally seated. Sadly, the poor management, lack of common sense, and immaturity at the front completely ruined the experience. **Would not recommend this place.** read more

I went to this restaurant with my family of five, along with two friends and their 3-year-old daughter. When we arrived, there were easily 15-20 open tables, yet the host refused to seat us because our friends were finishing changing their daughter in the car. We had just left the pumpkin patch hot, tired, and ready for some food and drinks, but instead were met with unnecessary attitude. The male host at the front was extremely rude in both his tone and demeanor. He insisted we couldn't be seated until our entire party was physically inside, even though 5 out of 8 of us were already there, ready to order, and the restaurant was practically empty (only one or two tables occupied). I could completely understand if there had been a long wait or if the restaurant was busy, but that wasn't the case at all. The refusal to seat us, paired with the host's rude attitude, was beyond frustrating and completely unnecessary. Definitely not the kind of experience that makes you want to come back. (Our server was great by the way. Sad that the host ruined the experience) read more

Our server was an older gentleman. Super kind and he recognized our toddler was hangry and offered to bring out a couple breadsticks for her. Which really turned our experience around. This would've been a 4 star experience if not for service. The pasta did not come out hot. The pizza could've been cooked slightly longer. The calzone was good. But didn't come out cut. Would definitely return again. read more
