Not helpful. We booked a time for a rep to come out because we want to replace both our septic tank and our leach field. Instead of coming to our home, the rep called at the appointment time and gave some info, but ultimately wouldn't come to our house or answer any specifics unless we booked a $3500 excavation of our current tank. Update - adjusting my review - they did call back later and say they would send out a tech to look at our yard. We decided to pass. read more

I called them because my kitchen sink was backed up and they had an internet special price so I called & they came out. It turned out to be a much bigger problem than that! My plumbing was really old so all of it needed to be replaced. I sure called the right people for this because they did an excellent job and I am enjoying my new plumbing! Update: they called me back and addressed my complaint, and were willing to work with me on the pricing. I appreciate the follow up but would have been better off with a fair quote to begin with. They will take advantage of you and then do the bare minimum after charging you at the a**. Called about a clogged sewer line, someone came out pretty quick to snake but it appeared the issue was with my septic tank. Someone came out to use a camera to check everything, I watched the camera footage and nothing was seen. I was told they needed to excavate to the inlet and outlet of the septic to take a closer look. Quoted $6000 to dig a hole in my backyard and "check everything", and they didn't even dig out the inlet outlet like promised. They also didn't even inspect ANYTHING. Instead they had someone dig to the manhole, hired another company to come out and pump, and installed a riser on the manhole, filled the hole and left. Not only was I incredibly misled by the severity of an issue, they didn't even do a fraction of the work that I signed the estimate for. The whole ordeal took far longer than they promised me, and they also didn't blue stake the property before digging. Not sure if they give everyone absurdly high quotes or just young female homeowners who look like they don't know what a septic tank is. Workers assigned to our sewer backflow repair were extremely friendly, timely, and seemed to know their business. However, had to to call them back because they covered the clean outs. Our biggest error was not obtaining a second quote for this work as they seriously over charged us. They damage my bathroom. First they said that roots had damage the sewer pipe under the house. No roots were found. They then said that the flange the holds the toilet in place. They had to unbolt the toilet to remove it. Get another plumber to verify that the work needs to be done. They sent me a bill for $3600. Get the repair in writing; don't sign a tablet or a phone. The entire crew from Jared and Cody were polite, profession and extremely neat in there work. They diagnosed the sewer line problem, after a very quick response. They showed the blockage on their camera scope, and, the damage done by roots growing in the line. They gave us two options. We choose to replace the damaged section. After they dug up the damaged section, they re-lined the sewer line and they replaced the landscaping, like they were never here. We would definitely use them again. read more

It's been three weeks since the Google review and still nothing has been done to increase my satisfaction even 1%. I have spoken with Monique who asked me to wait on posting a review until she can speak to someone in the office but never heard back from her. After calling back I then heard from Caleb who was very sympathetic about the poor service I received and said he would get back to me. Caleb never got back to me. I called the company again and left a message. Sean called me back and was at first sympathetic with the poor service I received. Last time I spoke with Sean on 5-29-24 he got upset with me when I told him the $500 refund on my almost $7000 job was not worth me changing my 1 star rating for. I told him that I would change the rating if I was only charged $4500, which I think is high but agreed to mid job. I have been lied to over and over again by this company that keeps telling me that they will get back to me once they speak to the owner and see how they can make this bad work experience better. This was a job that was quoted to me from day one as a 2 day $1500 job. By the time the job was finished 9 days later they were going to charge me $9000, but because they felt bad at their incompetence they were taking $2000 off. I told Aundrey I was very unhappy with the amount of time this job took and the outrageous price they were charging. I was told by Aundrey that it was as good a price as he could do. A few days later the money was removed from the credit card number they had on file from a card reader, from the deposit, and that was that. Sean also told me for the amount of work that was done on my septic the amount they were charging was on the low side. Really, originally $9000 without me complaining. So I went online and found all the parts, at my price not an LLC reduced rate, they used and added in a high price of $500 for septic clean out and came up with $1300. Then you add in the wage of one man digging the hole to the septic tank in good dirt with no rocks, and replacing a three foot piece of 4 inch pipe, what $300? So the whole job, $1600 multiplied by 3 because the company has to make lots of money for overhead and you still come up to about what I was willing to pay, $4500, not $9000 what they said they were originally going to charge me!!!!! Last word of advice to all who are thinking about using Rooter Ranger, look them up on the Better Business Bureau. They do not have a 5 star rating from them and there are a lot of stories like mine on there. Steve read more

Kitchen sink was clogged and it was built up in the pipe leading into the wall. It would not unclog for us. Tech came out and was able to unclog the sink and pipe. They even happened to have a special when we needed them. Would recommend them. read more

Our toilet backed up over the weekend, how inconvenient. We had major stoppages and while even draining the washer or other plumbing up upstairs during the stoppage the bottom floor toilet would overflow. So I called these guys to verify a $47 drain clearing special would include my issue, they said yes. Isaac my technician immediately identified the source of the problem underneath our house. He then snaked the line going towards our house and within 2-3 feet water began gushing like a river out to the main out. He also recommended a later on further look in with a camera back into the drain to prevent possible future problems. read more

As seniors and I am a veteran, we were recently SCAMed by this company. We requested a drain stoppage to be cleared. They told us the project needed to be started before the insurance adjuster came to inspect, because that's how it works with insurance companies.So we were under pressure to let them start the job.They billed us $22,717 on for what we found out, afterwards, to be a couple of hundred dollar job. They told us our homeowners insurance company would cover the cost and that they work with insurance companies all the time. So, we said, go ahead and start the work. But, the insurance company DID NOT cover any of the costs. Now, we are struggling to repay this large, surprising amount of money. We have hired contractors to level the dirt from the holes Rooter Ranger dug, replaced tile and fixed holes in our walls. After their work, they DIDN'T even come back to make sure all of their work was satisfactory. We wrote a letter and left messages to the company owner and talked with and texted the general manager, wanting help and consideration for ALL of the STRESS, PAIN and ECONOMIC setback their WORK ETHICS have negatively Impacted our lives. The project was started in February. It is now the middle of October. There has been NO RESPONSE from Rooter Ranger. Rooter Ranger failed to unclog my clogged kitchen sink, despite attempting it four times with a snake. However, after giving up on the clog, three staff members then put considerable effort into touring my home, producing an estimate for $6,300 (discounted!) for other work - all while the drain was still clogged. Luckily, I contacted another plumber for a second opinion, who came to my house within an hour and unclogged the sink as requested in 20 minutes, with a snake, for $175. I felt pressured by Rooter Ranger to pay for extensive plumbing work when all I wanted and required was an unclogged sink. Everyone else was booked out a week or more. These guys could be here in 20 minutes. I had a simple toilet mechanical problem. They said, no problem, $189. I suggested that was pretty high for a $10 part and 10 minutes. He, Louis, nice guy, said, I don't make up the prices. i said I'll pass and he wished me a nice day and left briskly. I get the impression that their business plan is to lurk around Phoenix with high availability and higher prices. Not what I needed. If not 100% sure of observations Rooter Ranger will convey that information to owner and recommend additional diagnostics until problem is correctly diagnosed. I set up an appointment to have my water hose spigot replaced since it's leaking. The technician came out to give a quote a couple of weeks ago and I felt he genuinely wanted to help me get this done. I set up an appointment to have it replaced today, 3/23/24, but the technician never showed up. First the number I called to set up the appointment put it for today two weeks ago even though I said next Saturday. Then I called to verify when the technician was supposed to arrive and was told between 10am and 12pm and the text stated I would get a call to verify the appointment the day of by the dispatcher, no call, no show. Overall: good but not great. Pros: Good work, fast response, knowledgeable Cons: showed up late or didn't show up until I texted them. Very bad at communicating I had a slab leak in March of 2020. Rooter Ranger was fast to respond and inspected my house. They recommended a leak detection company. Rooter Ranger later provided me an estimate to fix the problem and I agreed. A few days later, Rooter Rangar said a technician would come at 10am. I waited and no one showed up. Someone eventually called and said they would be late. They showed up at 1230am. The tech cut into some drywall and said he needed to wait for his supervisor to approve the work. A short time later, he says the supervisor cannot come. The technician says they will be back the following day at 8am to finish the job. I wait. No one. Around 1pm, I text a supervisor and he says they come in an hour or so. Overall, I paid $6200. They did the job and I was satisfied. However, I waited around hours for them to come and great businesses don't do that to customers. read more
