We called The Plumber Guy to unclog a bathroom drain and unjam a garbage disposal. The technician said it would take about 20 minutes and then quoted over $300 for the job. Completely unreasonable for something so simple. When we declined, he said he could show us how to do it ourselves afterward but only if we hired them first. So we ended up paying the $49 service fee just for that experience. He did however suggest watching YouTube videos and said he couldn't give information away for free. So, I looked up a few YouTube videos and fixed both issues myself in under 10 minutes. It was incredibly easy, which makes their pricing even more outrageous. I would not recommend this company. There are plenty of honest plumbers out there who charge fairly and actually try to help their customers. We had to pay $49 for this shite service. read more

All I needed was a new gas valve and they were quoting $1,700 and even recommended I replace my entire water heater (7 years old) so that I can get their stupid 10 year warranty. Zero stars. This company sent 2 completely incompetent and unprofessional plumbers to my home for a shower leak- what should have been a quick fix for anyone who knows anything about plumbing. They took 4 visits and have not addressed the issue. Chase made 3 visits to my home and repeatedly lied about the status of the situation. He did not fix the shower leak; instead, he turned the valves very tightly and called that his "fix," for which they charged me $850 (in addition to the rest of the work which I hired them to do, was $2200 total for a garbage disposal and toilet replacement. They truly are overpriced but I paid them accordingly expecting quality and efficiency, which turns out to be anything but such). I called back to dispute, given the shower is exactly as it was prior. After some back and forth and cancelled appts, the secretary, Blake sent another plumber to my home. James was rude and unprofessional to my sister. Instead of offering a repair for the same issue or a refund, his only resolution was to demand another $1200 for the same leak. This is a complete breach of contract. I have emailed several times this past week with no response. I did call with my phone number and it goes to VM. Of note I called from my work phone and had an immediate response which ultimately led to nowhere. Shows how crooked this company is- dodging my communication. I cannot even do a charge back given they tricked me into paying in cash. Beware of this company, go elsewhere, and please do not waste your time and money with them as I did. They are desperate for money, unprofessional, incompetent, very expensive, and apparently mastermind scammers. I am awaiting to hear back from them to get my refund otherwise will pursue legal strategies. read more

I had my old water heater emptied and removed from my property and had a brand new one installed with up to date parts so it would pass any codes. I've used The Plumber Guy twice this month and won't be using them again. The first time, they quoted me $1,800 to replace a sump pump with a 3-year warranty. After some negotiation, they agreed to do it for $1,400 -- which tells me they were just trying to overcharge from the start. Later I found out they had installed that same pump only a year and a half earlier but didn't bother to use the factory warranty to replace it. That made me lose all confidence in their warranties and service. A couple of weeks later, my water heater went out. They said it would be $45 to come out, but once they arrived, they wanted $99 ("if I have to use my tool")just to diagnose it . Then they quoted over $1,200 in repairs before they could even tell what was wrong. I called another plumber who fixed it in 10 minutes for $50 -- it was just a burnt wire. This company seems focused on overcharging and upselling rather than helping customers. I would never use them again and don't recommend them to anyone. I thought over a week about this rating. The work the plumber did was fine, his name was Myke C. I had a water leak in my home, he and his son, and a helper were fine. Maybe priced somewhat on the high end. Now, see the review Scott F. left January 9, 2026. When the plumbing job was completed, I asked Blake, who was constantly telling me to pay, to send my insurance company the billing they needed to process my claim. I asked that Blake do that and I would immediately pay in full. He refused, saying he wanted the money immediately. I offered him more than half cash immediately since he implied he was having cash flow issues. And I would pay the balance immediately once he sent the bill to insurance the way they requested. He refused and said, "You don't know what kind of day I'm having; you don't want me coming over there." This was all within a couple of days after the work was completed. I told him he was threatening me, and he said he would be at my house in ten minutes. I went out front of my home and waited. No show. Then, he decided to send my insurance the bill they had requested. I checked with insurance and they said they would accept it. Not exactly what they wanted, but they would accept it. Since that was completed, I messaged Blake to come get his cashier's check for payment in full. He sent an Uber for the check. So, they needlessly threatened me, which I have documented, they were slow to cooperate with my insurance company so I could get partial reimbursement, and I would suggest that if you need a plumbing company avoid this one at all costs. I do not know the owner of this business, but whenever I asked if I could come to their office to pay, they would say either nobody is there, or they have no office. That is what I was told repeatedly. I dislike giving a business a bad review, times are tough, but this company treated me terribly, without reason. My bill was 18,950 dollars, and it was paid in full within two hours after they complied with my insurance company's request. They knew it was an insurance job, and they refused to try to be helpful. I have had a property management company since 2004, and I have used this company for any and all plumbing repairs for my property as well as my clients homes, and have been quite satisfied. However, I had them out for a leak under the sink. The technician turned off the water to the dishwasher. He told me that a hose was kinked and it would be $75 for the hose. I thought the cost was a bit excessive, but what are you going to do but replace it. Then he said, " you're going to need a new dishwasher". So why replace a hose? So, I didn't have him put the hose in, and figured on just buying a new dishwasher. So basically, he just turned the water valve off. Then he gives me a bill for over $300.! I asked for a break since I've brought the company business through my clients for the last 21 years. Nope. No break in the bill. I will NOT be using this company again! We have used the Plumber Guy for about 20 years. We have had yearly checkups, repairs and emergencies. In the past they have been very good but I have noticed the pricing going up over the past two years. Today, to get 4 different small things done, it was going to be almost $1000.00. I checked invoices and that is a huge up charge from even last year. If it was replacing parts I might be able to understand but sadly, it is maintenance and for less than 2 hours work, an RO faucet replacement with filters, about $75.00 on the open market, the charge would be the above. I guess it's time to find a new plumber. We were thinking about it anyway since last year the plumber chastised us for not replacing the slave rod on our water heater and told us we had put the heater in jeopardy, even though they had been here the year before and told us there was no need to change it out, it was fine. They reached out to me via NextDoor after I posted looking for a company to provide quotes for installing a standard tub and tub insert. The employee who called me went through all the questions inquiring the work I was doing and asked for all my contact info and then after it all informed me there is $100 service fee to come out and give me a quote. That's outrageous. Asking potential customers to pay for the privilege of you coming to their home and giving them an offer for potential work is bad practice and shows the kind of pricing I can expect if I were to have any work done. I would advise "The Plumber Guy" to reconsider how they do business and instead of asking customers to pay them for quotes, build that into your pricing for jobs. Brought everything up to code, made modifications to surrounding pipes, designed a drain system unique to my garage. We had a great experience with this company. They just came to give us an estimate because we had a sewage odor coming from an area in our home. They are great with communication, from emailing and texting and calling to let you know about your scheduled appointment, to letting us know when the plumber was en route (along with sharing a photo and name of the person who would be coming to our home). Jeremy the plumber who came explained everything that he was doing. He consulted with another plumber about our issue and suggested that we try a lower cost solution before bringing them in to do a more expensive procedure. We really appreciated their honesty and for not immediately trying to sell us on the other service. We discovered a leak under our sink on Thursday nite. The next morning we called The Plumber Guy and within a couple of hours they sent a plumber Joe G. to our house to access the problem. He checked it out and told us it was the faucet, he said if we went to get a faucet right away he could install it. At that time he told us how much it would cost to install it. We got the faucet, Joe installed it and we are now as good as new. I would like to thank the The Plumber Guy Company for their fast and professional service. Then went to the tub, put a snake in 15 min later he collected $295.... We ended up getting a tankless system and a whole house filtration system as well. Extremely professional and answered all my questions and I feel we got a reasonable price for what we bought. I then received a call this morning to let me know that Danny was on his way to my home. What insanely awesome customer service before anyone even set foot in my home! Danny was prompt and was able to quickly identify and fix the problem. While he was here, I also asked for a quote to replace our water heater and fix a leaky bathtub faucet. U had a sewer line collapse 3 months after purchasing my home. The Home warranty people sent me a Melvin that talked about drilling holes in my bathroom floors and digging down. this would cost me 8k! I was ready to move out and go live under a bridge. Had a toilet leaking sewage under the tile and back behind the wall. Plumber Guy came out and put a new gasket on the toilet. He then informed us we needed to have a mitigation team come out and follow-up on the damage. He then proceeded to call those people who immediately took the toilet right back off the wall in the mitigation process and threw away the new gasket. They billed us $200 for the job knowing the real possibility that it would just have to be done again. When I called to complain the gentleman said they were just doing their job. BEWARE ALL. We called these guys to install a water heater and to replace our reverse osmosis water filters. Two technicians came to complete the work. One half hour after they left, our 8 month nightmare began, with notification that our credit and debit cards had been compromised. One tech was left alone in the laundry room to replace the water heater - this was his first day on the job. We closed the door to that room so our little dog would not bother him. The other tech was in the kitchen doing the filters. Unfortunately, my wife's purse was in the laundry room. Upon receiving notification of the financial compromise, she immediately checked her purse and her credit cards had been removed and put back in the wrong place. Her Kohls credit card was gone. Three checks had been stolen. A ploy used by crooks is to leave the next check in the book and take the following ones. This is done in the event you write a check for the service you won't notice the checks missing. To add insult to injury the tech hooked up the lines to the clothes washer backwards. My wife fixed that. On noticing that we had no hot water I checked the settings and noticed that they had not been set. I set the temps so we had hot water. There was a wire hanging down on top of the heater. I guess he was so busy rifling through my wife's wallet that he did not really pay attention to his job. We had to have another tech come out to check that the wiring was done correctly. On notifying the company of the theft, they said they had not had time to complete vetting of this criminal, as they had not received his background check. The company, on receiving our complaint did say they fired the person responsible. We received a self-serving letter that did nothing to alleviate our fears concerning our financial dilemma. This company allowed a criminal to walk into my house. It took numerous trips to the bank and countless hours on the phone and computer to get our credit corrected. It took 8 months of constantly watching our checking and credit accounts for more activity. They were here in January and our nightmare ended in September. We live in a retirement community and have Property Owners & Residents Association to address concerns of the residents. This issue was reported to them on 4/1/2019 and we have yet to hear from them, and this company is still listed on PORA's approved list. Just because PORA approved a company doesn't mean they are good & practice quality hiring. My wife is very computer literate and I am a retired fraud investigator. I am only glad that we had the expertise to nip this in the bud. Had this occurred to someone who was not familiar with this type of criminal activity they could have easily had their credit, as well as their bank accounts wiped out, and their identity stolen. I have reported this to every bureaucratic agency I could think of and nothing has been done. The Maricopa County Sheriff's office does have an open investigation on this individual. I write this in order to protect others who could be targeted. The Plumber Guy is the one who allowed this to happen. Quote was $750 for a free standing ice maker to be put in also with a water line and drain line that was nearby the unit. I Had to decline that one. I guess the worst part was the tech was stoned.
