Had another contractor come out a year after you pumped and "treated" my septic tank. they explained that the tank was never treated because the filter was never removed. you charged me $3800 to pump my tank. $680 of that was to pull off the lids on the tank. there was no heavy digging involved. I was out of town when you came to do this "service" and it seems to me that you tried to take advantage of my wife. you should be ashamed of yourselves. BUYER BEWARE!!! THIS COMPANY IS DECEITFUL AND SCRUPULOUS IN THEIR BUSINESS TACTICS. WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE. We recently sold our home in Cumming, Georgia and the buyer contracted with this company to inspect the Septic System. This company came to inspect the septic system and informed us (the seller) that we had to update our tank before they would approve the inspection. They stated that there was a code violation and they needed to install 2 PVC pipes at a cost of $1,490.00 before they would approve the septic tank inspection. We immediately sensed an upsell tactic from them using the "Code" Regulation language to extract this additional monies from the seller (US). We reluctantly agreed to this cost to "upgrade" the system and put it back in supposed "code condition" as stated by the inspector on several occasions throughout their process on the condition that they provide us with the "Code" that required this work in writing. Although the inspector stated that all the information we needed would be contained in the invoice upon completion of the work. THERE WAS NO REFERENCE TO THE "CODE" requiring the work in the invoice. In leaving the property they also damaged newly planted grass with their excavator and left waste containment leaking on the road as they drove off. TOTAL DISSATISFACTION IN EVERY WAY WITH THIS COMPANY. After much reluctance and lengthy discussion they agreed to provide us with the requested "Code" information in the body of the paid invoice. They provided us with an invoice with NO MENTION OF THE CODE they referenced to so often. This of course further deepened our suspicion of this inspector's coercive methods and deceitful business practices. At 11:30 ish we give them a call and they said it would be another 2 hours--are you fucking kidding me? So my landlord leaves the house and says she'll be back when they get here, and she texts me at 12:19 to tell me they would be here in 20 minutes. At 12:24 they show up and she's not here. My landlord calls the office again and they tell her they can offer her a discount because of the timing trouble today and we both think that's cool of them. The technician gets here (Johnny) and is asking how big the tank is--I tell him its 500 gallons, and he looks at me with the most patronizing look on his face, shakes his head and says "They don't make 500 gallon tanks, and if they do this will be the first one I've ever seen--is your husband in there--can I talk with him?" WOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW. Ps. It WAS a 500 gallon tank and no they don't make those anymore. Consumer beware. This firm is to be avoided at all cost. They have outrageous pricing compared to the industry and deceptive tactics to try to take your money. I had a main water valve leak and they were going to charge me over $1400 for a simple 6" pipe repair. When I would not agree on the price, they still charged me $280 just to dig up the hole. I complained to the manager and supposedly they charge a $500 diagnosis fee... so lucky me I guess that I got a discount on digging a 1 ft deep hole. Rooter Plus installed disposal on my rental house. Two months later, property manager's maintenance person went out to a reported leak/flooding situation on an emergency call. Found leak was due to improper installation of disposal. Rooter Plus did not use new gaskets/fittings and disposal pipes came apart flooding kitchen. To date, Rooter Plus has Refused to make it right. Mistakes happen but fair companies will stand behind their work and make it right. Can't really review them since they never showed up. I called and scheduled a pumping between 12 and 4pm. They called at 1pm to confirm. Now it's after 4 and no one showed up or called. I ended up calling another company and they will be out later in the week. I suggest you read the reviews for Rooter Plus and base your decision around what you see there. My experience with this company legitimately felt like a fever dream. I live in a 2 bed, 2 bath high rise condo unit. The guest bathroom sink had been clogging up for about a week. I called RooterPlus only because they were a recommended company on the vendor list for my building (I don't know why). I called on Monday, they agreed to send a technician out to service my issue on Wednesday. Wednesday came. I took time off of work to be at home. I waited for 8 hours for them to send me a text saying that all the technicians in the area were held up with jobs that were taking longer than expected and that they would need to reschedule for tomorrow. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I took off work AGAIN on Thursday only for the EXACT same thing to happen. Once again, all technicians were busy and they would need to reschedule for Friday. Finally after two reschedules, I was alerted that a technician was on the way. Two guys in their mid twenties showed up, used the flashlights on their iPhones and looked under the sink for no more than 4 seconds and told me that my sink needed to be replaced because it was installed correctly. The quoted work totaled close to $1300. To unclog a sink. Let that sink in. Further more, the technician was doing some weird mind game where he was saying "Do you want us to fix your problem mane? You have to let us help you of you want your problem to go away" I politely asked them to leave. But not before they charged me $57 for the visit, a charge that I was told was a free service offered by the company. After they left (and I reluctantly gave them my card) I called to complain and the guy on the phone agreed to reverse the charge. 4 days later, it's still on my credit card statement. Had a tech come out to service my septic tank in Oct 2019 and then needed it serviced again on May 13, 2021 which they did a crappy job resulting in another service call again on May 25, 2021 to correct what the previous tech stated he done but did not. I Called to complain to the septic manager and he pretty much blew me off defending the poor work of his employee that clearly wasn't done so in less than 2 years I have paid this company 3300 for shity services. I had the unfortunate pleasure of having Rooter Plus come to my property to find a leak. A leak another incompetent plumbing company could not find months earlier. Rooter Plus came to my home with that knowledge and informed me they may have to cut into my drywall. That's putting it lightly. This had been going on for over a year and if that's what it takes that's fine. This is rental property for me so I let them in and stayed for the first hour and a half(painting a bedroom). I immediately noticed they started cutting in the bathroom wall. I then heard a second. After I was done painting I left and told them to contact me when they were done. Ten, twelve hours went by and I never heard from these people. I went to my property the next day and sure enough they left my door unlocked. As I walked in my condo I slowly walked around and observed how these incompetent "plumbers" GUTTED my condo. It's only 1150 square feet and there were 32 holes/gashes in my walls/ceiling throughout the condo. All to find a leak. Apparently they haven't heard of LEAK DETECTORS. To add salt to the wound they didn't even find the leak! They were there for nine and a half hours and the best they could do is say " they felt a strong presence in the bathroom." No S*** Sherlock! Either there's a leak or not. Rooter Plus basically gutted my condo and got NO results. There were two guys there for 9 1/2 hours and all I got was a bill for almost $2,000.00. A few months after that I called a real plumbing company to do a leak detection for me and told them what was going on. ( Delta, The Educated Plumbers). Low and behold it was one guy with a leak detector and he found (2) leaks in about (90) minutes. One guy from Delta, The Educated Plumbers who found the leaks in (90) minutes verses Rooter Plus, (2) guys who took nine and a half hours basically demolishing my condo and got no results....Except for making themselves $2,000.00 playing demolition derby on my walls & ceiling. You make the decision on who to choose. Question I have for Rooter Plus, if you claimed you had a "strong presence" in my bathroom for a leak, why did you gut rooms all over my condo on opposite side of that bathroom? Why not use a traditional leak detector like real plumbing companies. You gutted bedrooms, closets, ETC. Rooter Plus didn't even do straight cuts to my walls so the pieces could be put back and reused to repair. They just gutted my walls(*see pics) and threw away the pieces. Rooter plus gutted my walls so bad the drywall guy had to remove both my toilets and washer/dryer to repair the walls. All that unnecessary carelessness cost me over $1500.00 to repair. Rooter plus has done major repair work on my house ($30K+) over a 9- 12 month period. It has been an over all horriable experience. They had to come back and redo a majority of the work, due to pipes not being connected right, which lead to sewage leaking in my basement. The work that they did not redo, I wanted them to check to make sure it was correct since it was the original plumber that they sent out error. I'm thinking if they messed up the majority of the work, than all the work needs to be checked. I basically got "If working we aren't messing with it". They also tried to charge me more to fix work that their plumber messed up, basically because it was not invoiced correctly. They quoted one price to pump a tank and it ended up being $200 more. Would like to forewarn anyone thinking about using this company, review is accurate and I am a previous customer. I live at Cedar Chase Townhomes in Atlanta GA, 30324. In 2021 our HOA hired Rooter Plus to re plumb water main lines and unit feed lines in our 48 unit community. Rooter Plus took several weeks longer than they estimated and in 2022 had to redo all the water main lines due to repeated leaking. At 1:30 AM on Oct 26th the direct feed line Rooter Plus installed to my townhouse blew off the water mainline they installed in front of my townhouse discharging a firehose strength geyser of water with granite aggregate directly at the front of my home shattering 4 windows and skylight. My house was flooded with 3-4" of water, furniture, artwork, ceilings and walls destroyed. The only thing worse than Rooter Plus's poor project management pathetic workmanship is their complete and utter lack of customer care, concern or compassion. Rooter Plus deferred the matter to their insurance company. Rooter Plus's owner Charlie Plumley didn't take the time or make the effort to respond to my voice message and their Ms. Susan Rutherford was obtuse, uncaring and rude the one time I phoned her on the matter. Rooter Plus and their insurance provider refused to pay my hotel costs while damage to my home they caused were being completed and left me with over $10k in unreimbursed repair costs. Be leary of companies where their tech has access to your phone call to them when setting up service on the techs tablet. I set an appointment for Saturday, never showed up kept on telling me they would be out, but the job they were working on is taking longer. Set up for Tuesday, they show up and got to work. I was told $150 for a 1,000 gallon tank 30 dollars for each 30 ft of hose. Nothing about solids being extra. He quotes me $495+ that includes 2 hose's , that still does not add up to 500$ I said they did not tell me that , he says I have the phone call right here. I called for a septic pump and they scheduled it for this past Saturday 3/6/21 between 8am and 12 they called and asked If I would/could move appt till sunday 3/7/21 between 8am and 12. I said sure whatever not a problem Sunday rolls around and at like 11am they call and says no one can get out to me. So I canceled the service. Get a second opinion if you use these guys! We were told I need a new baffle and pipe and would cost 3100.00 something felt off, we got a second opinion and it turns out we didnt need any of that. Our baffle is good for another 6 to 10 years, and no pipe was needed, we paid 550 to have an inspection and pumping from another company so be cautious!! Would not recommend. I had a second job that was quoted at 2.5k and I had two other quotes at $900 FOR THE EXACT SAME WORK. They kept acting like they were giving me a deal and taking off a hundred dollars here and there, but it was still over double of two other quotes FOR THE EXACT SAME WORK. And the second repair was related to the first repair which was mis-diagnosed! Other issues: 1. The guy didn't show up on time. 2. The first repair left grout all in my tub and didn't clean it. 3. My tub backed up due to all of the grout. 4. He didn't show up a second time to snake the drain. 5. They sent someone else out to snake the drain. 6. For the second visit, they diagnosed everything properly, but again, it was more than double other quotes (they try to pitch a one year warranty, but the other companies I checked out also gave that). 7. AND to add to it they had us listed as a septic issue. So they finally go someone to come out. The guy (who my husband said was extremely nice) told him that it would be between $600-$1200 to fix, finally telling him it would be $520 - TO JUST REPLACE THE WAX RING!! My husband told him that we wanted to get another estimate somewhere else - to which the guy replied, well what are you looking to spend...he said he did not know but hopped that it would not cost more than $400 (seeing as how we once received a quote from a different company for $500 to pump the septic tank and this was way less labor) - so he said he would do it for $400!!! So it immediately dropped $220!! So he obviously knew he was trying to take advantage of us! We still did not agree and by this point found out a job like this typically costs around $50-200. At this point the guy told my husband, "oh, well I don't even pull a tool out of my truck for under $350"! They come out & give you a sales pitch about possible contributing factors why your septic is full. I went through this with them. I needed my septic tank pumped out because it was full. I dug up the dirt so the lid was exposed, so it would be easier for them. Before the lid was even opened, the guy starts out telling me all the possible problems why my tank is full, and started giving me prices to fix the problems (RED FLAG) before even looking into the tank. I opened the lid (with no help from them. I am even struggling to get this heavy concrete top up and they just stand there). He said yes it's full, then went into more possible problems that it could be. I said, "look, I just want you to pump my septic tank out, that's it no more no less, then we can talk about possible problems". "So how much will it cost to JUST pump out my septic tank"? He said $1,100. I told him the web site and the person on the phone said it would be $150 or $250. He stated, that is the starting price. THERE IS NO PRICE OF $150 OR $250. IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!! Please be careful of these people. They are not honest on their web site or on the phone. Again, there is no price of $150 or $250. Remember I said earlier, he said $1,100 just to pump out the tank. The technician had an attitude from the start. He overquoted me a service of $4200 for a Drain field flush, when I called his office to confirm, they said the service would be roughly $3000. Then the technician threw his arms up at me and said "well, what , do you want us to stop pumping your tank or what" after I called his office for clarity. I was also originally quoted $250 for a 1500 gallon septic flush, but thar price quicky went up to $632 after they included the "extra" charges. Last time I'm using this company. read more

So when a water main burst, Rooter was who we called, because they have the equipment, the know how, and they appreciate the fact I have 200+ homeowners without water and the crew did not leave until the problem was fixed. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!! They do not deserve the 1 star ,however I had to select something to post this review. Rooter Plus takes advantage of your ignorance when you are in emergency mode. Choose Rooter Plus because of the quoted price of $150 -$250 and that they were able to come out on Sunday, Father's Day. We had an issue of water backing into the house when toilets flushed upstairs, causing water to spill out from the downstairs/basement toilet,- basement flooding. The technicians were about 1- 1 1/2 hours late and had some trouble finding the tank, which took about 40 -45 minutes or so. We were told again the cost would be $150 -$250 to pump. They got the tank open and stuck the shovel in the sludge. After assessing the state of the tank So, they informed us that per their expertise in the subject, that the issue is related to tank which can cost $8-11K to replace, however that can drain, add some chemical to break up the sludge at the bottom of the tank and clear the line (repairs) and the cost would be $3900 giving us another 20 years with the current, which is the same amount of years of replacing the tank. We gave the authorization, as we believed that the company had our best interest and was really addressing the emergency circumstance and gave the authorization. After completing the work, which took about 50 minutes, and the technician was ready to close out/collect payment, our tenant who is a former plumber began questioning the job performed and asking them to break down the charges. Per the explanation, he advised them they were overcharging (price gouging). Please read the reviews and learn from the mistakes others have made. The office stated the service was $150 with a possible $100 upcharge for 500 additional gallons of waste. Reasonable price for 1500 gallons of removal. The time was set for 8 - 12N so I had to cancel plans but getting the septic taken care of was more important. At 10AM no one had showed and there was no call to let me know progress so I called in to be told the tech would be there well before 12N. At 12:30PM when no one showed up I called again to be told the tech was delayed but would be there soon. With no one at the house at hour later, I expected no one to show but got communication at 1:45 that the tech would be another 45 minutes. That was the first update that I did not initiate. By 3:00PM the tank was open with the classic stand up of the shovel in the waste picture. The price went from $250 to $16K in 10 minutes. Understanding the upsell, we said no to replacing the drain field. We watched the work completed which included the dig to the tank, hose to suck out the debris with no 'manual break up of excessive solids' and debatable hydro jetting of the mainline. The time for the 'manual break up' was 3 minutes for the $275 charge. The hydro jetting of the mainline was 8 minutes for a $400 charge. Both were reduced for the agreed final bill. I called the office to discuss the bill that grew from a possible $250 to just under $1K but the manager was not available to approve the reduction of the bill for the work not completed. When I talked to another person at the office, she explained to me that 'the tank has been abused and years past due on cleaning' when the previous cleaning was 3 years earlier before the house sat vacant for 2 years. Rooterplus is well versed in the upsell and taking advantage of homeowners in a pinch. Beware and try other companies that do not have the reputation and tradition of robbing homeowners. ****Update****after a week back and forth with RooterPlus the final bill was reduced but I still overpaid at over double the advertised 1500 gallon price for unnecessary work. Very reluctant to leave bad reviews but feel compelled to do so here: Rooter plus came to my house to assess a broken but not leaking spigot. Plumber could not fix and left spigot running all day. He said only option was to cut into wall because no other way of stopping the water . Another plumber turned water off within one minute of arrival and proposed a much more sensible, cost-effective solution. I will never use this company again. In addition to creating an emergency where there was none, the plumber left the window open, tracked mud through the house, tried to charge double the quoted price, and told me to Google it when I asked if there was a boss or someone else I could talk to. read more

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! I wish I had read these reviews before I contacted this company. I was quoted $250 to pump my 1500 gallon septic system. When this company came and dug this up the price suddenly jumped to $760. I would have told them to leave but my husband told them to go ahead and finish the job Since they already had my yard dug up. I questioned the tech Chris before he started pumping why the great difference. He then told me I would have been advised there may be additional charges. I told him I know what I was told and even repeated the price back to the rep that scheduled my appointment. His rude reply was "people only hear what they want to hear." When we got his printed bill they charged $250 to dig 18", 60' of hose, 2" of solid. Really! 2" is basically nothing according to another company I contacted to see if I had been ripped off. Honestly BAD EXPERIENCE. If I had rwwad these reviews before March, never would I have used this company. I bought my house in July last year, in March I started to see water in my front yard, called Rooted confirmed the appointment to pump it out, my wife said They were done in less than 6min. Today I'm standing on my porch as my son is take a shower I start to see water coming out of the soil same spot. I mind you the service was done on March 20th 2021 and today is July 9th. First thing I did was check my water consumption to see if we were have been over using it. Guess what! We've used way less for these pass 3 months. Mitch came on a Sunday to fix a leaky toilet. He was courteous and did a fine job. I had a great experience with this company!!

1 star is way to generous. 1 star means not good. It should mean never use them. Don't go by google or facebook reviews. Companies can delete those bad reviews/contest them getting them deleted. Yelp is much harder to get reviews deleted. Rooter plus will scam you out of thousands of dollars from my experience. Complete crock of shit company. In my experience they lie and even though you actually witness them lying they will deny the lie. Pretty terrible company and the reviews that say they are horrible on here are 100 percent correct. You don't get customers by ripping off people but I guess they think there are enough customers in GA they will never run out of suckers. read more

I had a leak in my condo that was really hard to diagnose. Barry and Jose were amazing. They really cared, answered all my questions, and most importantly did find the leak and make repairs. Cathy, the administrator, is also wonderful and very responsive. The only reason I cannot provide a 5 star review is that the customer service on the inside sales of Rooter Plus is awful. The girls who answer the phone are rude and literally yelled at me and told me I am being unreasonable. I work in the same position as these ladies in customer service on an inside sales team. Had I had a conversation with my customers the way I was spoken to - I would be fired. I experienced these issues when trying to get in touch with Barry during an emergency when a second leak was found and flooding my neighbors unit. I also was trying to get the invoice from my initial visit with Barry and Jose to diagnose the leak. This visit was on Tuesday, it is now Friday and I just received the invoice after multiple calls since Wednesday. I had talked to three of their CSRs, all of whom had different explanations for why they could not send me the invoice or why I had not already received it. One even said she sent it and I still never received it. It took me saying I was not hanging up until I spoke with a manager and that I would hold (to which I was told I was unreasonable, as previously mentioned) to speak with Cathy directly who then was able to send me the invoice in a matter of minutes. This customer services team needs a lot of work. In the future I will use Barry and Jose but I will ONLY go through Cathy to get any information at that time. read more

Do not use for plumbing unless you want to be taken advantage of. We had a clogged drain while I was out of town traveling for work. They said they would have someone out the next day, 3 days later a plumber finally showed up and then tried to charge us $700 to snake the pipe which was 30 minutes worth of work.... read more
