We moved to a new home with a septic system issue that led to the health department getting involved. Our realtor recommended Pumpco and they came to our rescue. Amanda and her team were amazing through the process. They handled everything from start to finish. Permit, inspection, scope of work... They had our old system pumped out and buried and a brand new system installed in two days. It took a crew of folks with a backhoe and bulldozer because they had to clear a lot of small brush for the drain field. My experience was not good. I made an appointment two times and was never serviced. They failed to keep me in the loop of when they were going to be late and/or not be able to make it. In the second appointment, they didn't reach out to me to let me know what was going on until 6:50pm even though i had them booked for 3pm. They're prices are hard to beat, but don't be fooled. Keep in mind, i don't normally to write reviews, especially ones such as this. However, i would like those who wish to use this company's services know what to expect. We lived in our home 4 years. Had the 1000 gal tank pumped before closing and again 3 years later(last year) by Rooter Express for $250 but they said our baffle tee was not connected to the tank and therefore the water was not properly draining from tank. They showed me the disconnected tee. Said tank could back up in house and charged us 1800 but was initially trying to push replacement of the entire drain field with an estimate of 8k-10k! About 8 months later, we started noticing puddles near septic and sewage smell. Called them back out, as work was under 1 year warranty. They came out but were very reluctant to even dig up the tank, claiming the problem was too much storm water going over tank. This did not sound right so we persisted and they eventually dug up tank to inspect. They pumped out SOME water and said tank looked fine so insisted we needed to divert some storm water. No extra charge. We installed a long runoff pipe from downspout to divert more water. Here we are, a few months later and we start seeing puddles again and smelling sewage. We are not septic tank savvy but we knew enough to know that we needed to contact a different company. So I took to Yelp for a company with good reviews. Decided on Pumpco. Pumpco, Steve, (I think) arrived on time and was outside more than 5 minutes before he'd diagnosed the problem was a clogged drain pipe, a few feet away from the tank. He explained how he came to the diagnosis. Was patient and did not talk AT us as we probed him with many questions. He engaged until we finally understood and were satisfied with his explanation. He'd already went to the county site and reviewed the layout of our tank so he could diagnose properly. Rooter Express didn't even know how to read the plans we showed them and struggled, both times, to even find the tank. Steve also explained a loose baffle tee does had nothing to do with the tank not draining...which we'd figured out when it kept overflowing. Steve we could replace the entire drain field for price of 5k or repair just the clogged section for 2500. He said he was certain the 2500 repair would solve the issue but wanted to give us the option in case we wanted to install new field. He warranted work for 1 year and put in writing that if the repair did not resolve the problem, he would credit the 2500 to the 5k to replace the entire drain field. We did the 2500 repair. He was done and gone within 1.5 hours. Welcomed my husband standing over to monitor the repair and seeing the tank water drain off. Packed dirt so that there were no depressions. Its been 3 days and repair seems to be working. I will update post if that changes over the next few months but we feel so much better about his work than we did with Rooter Express. read more

Upfront pricing and don't put the hard sell on you. They arrived at the house, found the tank in no time, pumped and were done. There is a wet spot in the yard which they said the pumping won't cure but gave me pricing to have the job repaired or have a new drain field put in. Came out, used machine to dig thru heavy tree roots to access portal to provide estimate. No charge for initial estimate. A prior company that just gave a visual inspection with no digging was going to upcharge because of the roots. Pumpco's philosophy was- roots are part of their business/ not uncommon. Pumpco came out the same day I called about the blockage. That was the first great thing. Next they gave me two options to correct the blockage so that I could work within my budget. That was great, since an unexpected plumbing issue was not in my plan. I was able to pay by card, remotely, which was very convenient for me. They corrected the blockage and covered up the septic tank sufficiently for the grass to grow back level. That is the third great thing they did, since mowing over uneven ground is one of my pet peeves. I highly recommend this company! read more

Never use pumpco septic tank service. Biggest fraud ever!! He tells you one price and then when comes he gives you some crap story and ends up charging you more. He came, dug up my tank and then started telling me I have a bigger problem thats going to cost me over $3000. There ended up being NOTHING wrong with my tank after I got 2 other opinions. Thank god I didnt buy his story. He comes with a camera and starts showing you things that arent even there! BIGGEST FRAUD OF ALL TIME!! Called Pumpco based on reviews on other sights. They were respectful, prompt, called when they were on their way. I had a clogged drain line and not a simple pump. They showed me exactly what was going on and prices were very reasonable. My house was built in '87 so I brought up possibly replacing my entire system. They explained the process step by step and an estimate of cost that was much lower than expected. I will use them later this year to replace my system. There were no hard sells and no hidden cost. Trying to save a few bucks I saw Pumpco's ad on the internet for $189 to pump out my septic tank, so I called and Steve told me yes, it was a flat rate. A couple of his stooges gets out there and after a quick look tells me it's going to be at LEAST $600. My tank is EASY to get to and I had already dug up the dirt around the cover. Gave me a line of BS about "The $189 is the PUMP fee, we still have to pay to dump it, Diesel fuel is expensive", and some other kind of something or another - Don't really remember all of his other BS as I was getting pissed off and quit listening. Told them to get lost. I went with the other company that quoted/charged $250 and they were done in a couple of hours. read more

Steve (the owner) was very honest and professional. We asked him to come out to get an of our septic system for our DFCS Foster Care application. He inspected the system and found a crumbling cement exit pipe that was original to our 1986 house that was causing the system to drain improperly and would eventually cause a backup. We fixed the pipe and he didn't charge us for the inspection and letter for DFCS (other companies were going to charge us $150). Two months later we were having a patio put in to our backyard and were worried that the workers may hit the drain field as they were excavating. Steve came out FREE OF CHARGE and identified where the tank was located and where the drain field started so the workers wouldn't hit it. Unfortunately the workers had put a footer 3" above the new pipe but Steve said it may or may give us issues and told us what to look out for and how much it would be to fix if the patio people had cracked the new pipe. His exact words were "I don't want you to spend money if you don't have to. So let's just wait and see if there's an issue." I would recommend this company to anyone who wants an honest assessment of their system! read more
