HONESTY AND INTEGRITY!! I am so glad we found Dixie Septic! To have such honest, reliable and trustworthy service was something that is RARE today! I Initially called to try to identify if we were having a Plumbing issue or Septic issue. In speaking with them on the initial call, we decided to have a plumber come out first to try to figure out what was going on. He did a thorough inspection and thought maybe we needed to snake the drain. He quoted me a price, I agreed and as he started to pull his equipment off the truck he had one more idea. Lets flood the lines and see what happens. With that thought, the sink immediately backed up and he stated it was for sure NOT a plumbing issue, but septic :-(. He revised the charge to the house call charge only. He COULD have snaked, charged us for that, then said septic. We would have gone along with that, but he was HONEST. Not just looking to make a quick dollar. He then called the dispatch himself and set us up for Septic Service the next day. Those guys were FANTASTIC! They knew from speaking with us that we had NO idea what was going on as this is our first experience with Septic. What they didn't know was we had another company come out the day before and quote us between (low end) 2500.00 up to possible complete replacement of the whole system - upwards of 19k! They found the tank, had to dig up my yard, which they profusely apologized for, and went to work. They pumped out our tank, which was in pretty bad shape and had probably never been serviced, cleaned all sludge and here it comes.......Said we needed NOTHING else!! We could install a different type of lid that would make future service easier than digging, but other than that, the system appeared to be in good shape. so in a matter of 12 hours we went from thousands of dollars to hundreds. They very well could have upsold us, but didn't even try. I call that EXCEPTIONAL, HONEST service. Not to mention they were professional, respectful, prompt and cleaned up after themselves. If you find yourself in need of either plumbing or septic service, Dixie should be your ONLY call. You won't go wrong with this company. It shows that it is run with the CUSTOMER in mind, and that is unfortunately lacking these days. THANK YOU DIXIE for and exceptional experience. I had the worst possible situation ever. My husband was out of town on business and the septic backed up into all three bathrooms in our house. My daughter and I had a real mess and I was terrified at the thoughts of having to look for someone honest that could help in a hurry. A friend of the family said they had used Dixie so I gave them a call. There are not enough good things to say about the owner Randy and everyone at his company. They returned my calls promptly, were very nice and understanding. Randy himself even called me back on a Sunday night! It turned out I had a complicated issue - not just needing a tank pumped, but they walked me through all my options and made sure I understood. It was obvious from the moment they hopped out of the truck that they knew what they were doing and i couldn't help noticing that all their equipment was clean and shiny - not the nasty stuff I have seen some neighbors use! They took their time and did a fantastic job! They were careful with their equipment and completely cleaned up everything. I was awe struck as I watched as one worker carefully replaced the grass that he had just as carefully peeled back with his equipment and then he watered it!! Who does that? Dixie does, that's who. Dixie Septic has been servicing my septic since 1995. Randy does an excellent job and has given me great advice over the years. In Jan. of 2014, during the big storm, I spent 10hrs getting home only to find sewage in my basement. I called Randy and the next day he came out to my home, despite the snow and ice, and fixed the cause of the back up within minutes.
