I'm extremely happy with the work Plumb Doc did for us. I worked specifically with Brian, and he's truly a salt-of-the-earth kind of guy. I genuinely enjoyed and appreciated his support throughout the entire process. I originally contacted another company with higher online ratings, but they couldn't get anyone out the same day. I decided to give Plumb Doc a shot despite their slightly lower rating--and I'm really glad I did. The service I received was absolutely 5-star level. Brian came out quickly and accurately diagnosed the issue: a pin-sized hole in one of the PVC pipes underground in our front yard that feeds the house. We had noticed water running down the driveway and weren't sure if it was just runoff from recent rain or a broken pipe, especially since temperatures had been below freezing. Brian confirmed it was a leak by shutting off the water to the house and checking the meter--we were still using water. From there, Brian walked me through multiple options, ranging from a full pipe replacement to a targeted repair. I was dealing with family health issues at the time and needed the fastest, least disruptive solution so I could focus on being at the hospital. Brian really stepped up. He suggested bringing in a leak-detection specialist using sonar equipment to pinpoint the exact location. It added a few hundred dollars upfront but would save time, money, and yard damage in the long run. We went with that option, and it worked exactly as promised. That evening, a gas technician came out to mark the gas lines, the leak-detection team arrived the next morning, and Brian dug a very small area and replaced the damaged pipe on day two. He even worked past dark to finish the job. Plumb Doc handled everything--all scheduling, coordination, and follow-through. Brian personally made sure every vendor piece was handled correctly. A few days later, after the clay had settled, Brian came back to fill in the hole--even though we had already paid. He even offered to buy a bag of mulch to cover the area, which we declined since we planned to re-mulch anyway. The leak is fully fixed, no more water loss, and the price was completely reasonable. Throughout the process, Brian kept me informed via text, sent photos, and made sure I always knew what was happening. Beyond the technical skill, he's just a genuinely good guy--someone you'd grab a beer with. Too often, you talk to a company owner and then get sent a low-quality crew. That did not happen here. I couldn't be happier with the service and would absolutely recommend Plumb Doc to friends and family. First let's start off with I choose them because they had almost 5 stars. called and scheduled my appointment for 5:30 yesterday left work early to make sure I was there. 6:10 comes no call no show. so, I called and was told they would be there in a few mins. well, here comes 7:30pm still no one called again and was told they outsourced me to another company which I knew nothing about and wasn't even called to be told that. she stated she was texting them to see where they were at. in the end no call and no one showed up. this is poor customer service and poor communication at its worse. read more

It's taken me too long to get to this review, but I couldn't NOT post it. So many things to cite; so many ERRORS to warn others about. Two different issues with the same bathroom, one with a toilet; another with a sink. First, the toilet: My powder-room toilet overflowed to a disasterous point; the *#(=$ went all over the bathroom tile floor and adjacent hardwood floors. I had Plumb Doctor come in and check it. They got on the roof and did that thing they do with the vent (one visit; separate CHARGE), and then on ANOTHER trip out they ran the camera, but apparently just in ONE direction where there were TWO routes the pipe took (I didn't realize this until later). Another CHARGE. No clog, they said, and they suggested I buy another toilet, one with flush-assist, so I BOUGHT ANOTHER TOILET. After having some work done on that same bathroom (which is the next issue I'll write about), the NEW toilet also got stopped up so I had ANOTHER plumbing company come out and look at it! That OTHER plumbing company ran cameras in BOTH DIRECTIONS of the pipe and pulled out what looked like a boy's sock that had been in the drain for YEARS. Since then -- almost a YEAR LATER now, I've had NO PROBLEMS! Second issue: The powder room sink. I wanted to replace my pedestal sink, so I bought a new one. Unfortunately, that had a piece at the bottom, in the back, that prevented me from installing it because my pipes run from the floor, not the wall (and no, I'm not even going to blame Plumb Doctor for realizing that AFTER they removed my original sink despite having seen the new sink; I still got CHARGED). They put the original sink back and reinstalled -- and reconnected -- the faucet****. Six months later, I discover that that faucet drain had BEEN LEAKING LONG ENOUGH to damage the walls of the bathroom (they wicked the leaking water from under the tile) AND my adjacent hardwood floors in the adjacent den. I had to replace about 1/3 of my hardwood floor, a wall of custom paneling, and the entire bathroom floor. This is where another company -- headed by the BROTHER OF THE OWNER OF PLUMB DOCTOR -- comes in: Avalon Restoration. Plumb Doctor recommended Avalon to do all the construction work, not telling me that these two owners were BROTHERS. (I found out from one of the subcontractors.) Look up Avalon Restoration to see what a nightmare that was. BOTTOM LINE: It seems to me that construction bro decided, "Hey, we can do more than roofing; we can do construction, too! Hey, plumber bro, let me know when your dudes SCREW UP ROYALLY and your customers need some flood-damage repair work; I'm really good at working with insurance companies to get paid so hook me up!" And it seems to me brother plumber said, "Sure thing!" Notice here that I am NOT accusing the plumber for CAUSING the leak, but you, dear reader, can connect the dots if you'd like. Everything here is true, and truth is a defense for libel. Anything else is speculation and that's yours alone to make. read more

Had a water tank go bad Brandon and Cory arrived within 30 minutes installed two hot water tanks and it looked very professional with quality fittings and a copper overflow discharge. Gas company said I had a gas leak several months later and they checked my whole system and couldn't find a leak. I call Plumb Doctor and Brandon came immediately capped off an old heater, gas line to the pool and it resolved my problem. This is a kind of company. First time home owner and was looking for a company to come take a look at our water heater that was aged and needed replacing. I found, reached out, and picked Plumb Doctor through Yelp based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. The initial response I got steered me to them and also their hours. I called pretty late and spoke to Brandon, the owner who was really nice and shared really helpful information. From our conversation, I could tell that the company knows what they are doing and do what's best for the customer. They don't try to get over on you. The reviews are accurate. Very quick responses and service overall. When I spoke to Brandon really late in the evening. That next morning at 8am Matthew came and was able to inspect and provide an estimate for our water heater replacement. We needed a couple more things done (new pipes, new expansion tank, and new water pressure valve). I saw they had discounts on their website, which they ended up honoring. We ended up picking them and that same day Matthew came back within 3 hours to replace our water heater a little after noon and was done before 4pm. We called Plumb Doctor after we had another company come out and give us an extremely unreasonable quote telling us we needed some unique hot water heater put in and that there were no other options for us, but the system they quoted us. Plumb Doctor came out within an hour and a half of calling and immediately explained everything to us thoroughly and quoted us exactly what we needed done. Turns out we didn't need the pricey unique system the other company tried to sell us. The Plumb Doctor crew that came out apologized that they couldn't put the system in that same night even though it was already 5pm, but were there immediately by 9am the next day and had our new system installed and running by 11am. I would highly recommend you call a company that others recommend. Take a few minutes and look at some of there 5 STAR ratings and specifically look at the profile and check out their other reviews. Several of the 5 Stars are by false reviews. Funny how the same person also gave other plumbing companies and HVAC and similar services five star reviews and the review was almost identical and generic. The company is engineering the results in Yelp and Google. I did not receive 5 star service. I was charged for something I didn't need. Even after I spoke with the owner they covered for the plumber who came, and said he would visit soon to ensure that the plumber did everything correctly. I felt like the owner was a car salesman who talked about anything and everything other than the bad service. I always try to be charitable even when I receive bad service and hope the company will treat me the way I treat them. However, all I received were excuses and a "future" visit to ensure everything is correct. I lost over $500 and honestly should have only been charged the diagnostic fee. I would strongly encourage you to call someone else, and check for "scam" 5 stars. It is extremely rare to for any company like this to have overall 5 star ratings. When it is too good to be true, it usually is, and this was no exception. I will never call them again and if asked I will refer them to a different company. read more

On Sunday of Thanksgiving week, while working outside, I heard a burbling, gushing sound from my back yard. Knew immediately that it could only be a broken sewer pipe. Had to happen then, of course, as I was expecting a house full of guests on Thursday. Tried to reach plumbers I'd used before; no luck. Searched Yelp, found Plumb Doctors. Read the recommended reviews & the not-recommended reviews. Good ones looked legit, not-so-good seemed to smack of grumpy customers. Rolled the dice on Monday morning and called Plumb Doctors at 8:00. Nice lady said they were pretty much booked that day, but give her a few minutes and she'd see whether she might juggle things to get someone by that day. In less than 15 minutes, she called back and said they'd be there that morning. Matthew arrived around 10:00, did a quick recon, said it might be another day before he could get an excavator there. Gave me a quote which seemed in line with my previous experience with excavating a sewer line. I said okay, thinking I'd have to tread water until the next day. Before leaving, Matthew said he wanted to take another look, maybe see whether he might get a start on things since he was there. Four hours later, he'd dug up the break (coupling pulled loose due to improper installation by previous company - my personal observation, he concurred) had fixed it, had run a snake down the pipe, followed by a camera and demonstrated that the sewer line had a) a serious sag in the line, trapping flow and b) that there was an obstruction at the far end of the line his snake couldn't break through. He installed a secondary clean-out, strongly recommended having the whole line dug up and replaced, and advised that while the second clean-out would likely leak water (?), it should be okay as a stop-gap to get me through the Holiday. After getting through the Holiday more-or-less without incident, I decided to bite the bullet (the clean-out was visibly leaking when the clothes washer ran) and called them to go ahead with the main line repair. I spoke with Brandon (owner) in the early morning, he said he'd try to get to my house that day or the next (rain in the forecast) and sure enough, arrived in the early afternoon. His crew dug the line, replaced the seriously, visibly sagging line (after taking care to prepare a proper bed to prevent future sags), exposed a dense, thick root ball that had been blocking the far end of the line and re-buried & graded the site. To conclude a long story: Plumb Doctor, this relatively small family owned business, responded as quickly as anyone could hope for, displayed technical expertise, performed the repair in a way far superior to the large corporate company who had previously charged me more for the same basic service, only doing a poor job. So, fellow homeowners...while nobody wants to go through a headache like this, when I had to, these folks came through. I'll call them first next time I have a need and recommend them to anyone else in the same fix. Oh, by the way, on the second phase of this job, they gave me a discount off the original quote. While my mother was hospitalized, we had to address a leak under her foundation. Though we did not end up using Plumb Doctor (had a "family friend" do the work instead), I cannot say enough good things about Fletcher who came out to provide an estimate for the project. He was incredibly timely, kind, and offered a very fair price. Further to that, he understood how important the job was for the return of my ill mother to her home the next day, so he was able to move things around just to get the job done on a Saturday morning. I called on a Wednesday at 9am asking for someone to come out and look at a leak in my ceiling. I was told someone would show between 12pm and 4pm and at 11:50 I get a call that Kenny is 10 minutes away. He shows up, immediately checks out the situation, tells me it's 1 of 2 things, and asks me if I'd like him to cut open the drywall to proceed with diagnosing the issue. He was up front about the cost and why he recommended proceeding (pros/cons). As soon as he cut open the drywall he was able to tell me my shower pan had failed. He gave me a recap of how that happens and some next steps I may want to take. Took 15 mins and Kenny was very professional and timely. Maybe an hour later I get a call from Brandon, the business owner. He followed up to see how the service was and even went the extra step to help me figure out what to do about my problem. To give you can idea: I had water leaking from my ceiling with no clue what to do, who to call, or what the next step was. Brandon recommended a mitigation company and contractor that he trusts. I called Plumb Doctor on a Tuesday and by Thursday the mitigation company had completed a walk through, filed the insurance claim on my behalf, set up dehumidifiers in my home to dry out the water from the leak, and the contractor had completed a walk through to generate an estimate. read more

I was having an issue with one of my toilets constantly having to either plunge or use a toilet auger to clear. I began seeing roots come out when I would use the auger and had it came to a point where I had to contact a plumber. I called Plumb Doctor at 9:40a on a Monday and they were able to schedule someone to come out same day between 12-4. I was thrilled since this had been an ongoing issue. I was quoted a service charge of $49 to evaluate what would be needed to correct the issue. I was told I would receive a call prior to the person coming to my home. Cody called and stated he was 15 minutes away and this was at 12:20. Cody showed up in time as he stated. He used boot covers on his feet so not to track anything in my home. He went to work right away and found the cause of my intermittent blockage. I had a crack in pipe which was allowing a root to grow as it was being drawn to the water. He chopped up the root and cleared it out. He also reached in to the pipe and pulled out some more root to clear which you will see in pic below. I will need to have this pipe replaced and will work with my HOA on that piece but I am good to go for now. I will drop some root killer in there to help keep root at bay. This was very affordable job with my total being $256 which included the $49 service charge as well. Cody was professional and this company I highly recommend for their prompt service. What a relief to find a plumber that actually communicates. is fair and knows what they are doing. We were having some issues with our water heater and called Plumb Doctor. We scheduled the appointment for the next day. David called to let us know he was on the way and would be there in half an hour, which he was. I hate calling service companies because more often than not I have a terrible experience. But I'm happy to say that Plumb Doctor was one of the best experiences I've had. A couple of weeks ago I noticed my driveway was wet. I soon received a notification from my HOA that I had a leak underneath my driveway. It was the last thing I ever expected as a homeowner. I didn't even know what the first step in getting it repaired was. So I called National Leak detection and the tech was nice enough to say he would come back when we schedule a plumber at the same time. I called Plumb Doctor based on their good reviews I was worried because they only gave me a window on when their tech might arrive. I asked for my home to be his first job and they agreed. I still thought he might be late. But I was very surprised when Mathew called me before National Leak did. When Mathew arrived he quickly outlined for me my problem and gave me 2 different solutions. He was thorough and explained the pro's and cons of each. Due to limited finances I had to take the cheaper option which was still a considerable amount but I thought a fair price. Mathew was fast, clean and went beyond my expectations. He did a great job and I would recommend his work to anyone.
