Not only am I very disappointed with the diagnosis process and…read morethe repair that did not address the issue that I called them for but also with the failure of their management to address my concerns. I called Plumbing Express to investigate and resolve a water leak in my kitchen ceiling. The leak was directly below my master bathroom toilet, which my sister and I had already narrowed down by tapping on the kitchen ceiling downstairs while listening upstairs, where the sound was clearly strongest near the master bathroom toilet. The technician briefly inspected both bathrooms but focused on my sister's bathroom on the opposite side of the house after noticing a damp sponge under the toilet tank. My sister explained the sponge was there because she sprays and cleans the toilet regularly, not because of a leak. The plumber then cut open the kitchen ceiling drywall, stated the leak was coming from the water supply line from my sister's toilet, and performed a complete toilet tank rebuild for $450. After the repair, he gave me a card for a company that performs restorations and recommended I call them to inspect for subfloor damage. When that restoration company arrived, they immediately stated there was no way the ceiling leak could have originated from the secondary bathroom because of the location and no evidence of water stains. They recommended another plumber and a leak detection company come out to find the leak before they performed any work. I contacted a second plumber, who agreed the leak was much more likely connected to the master bathroom toilet directly above the leak area. Finally, I hired a leak detection company, and they also confirmed the leak aligned with the master bathroom location, not the secondary bathroom Plumbing Express repaired. At this point, three separate professionals have stated the leak could not have originated from the bathroom Plumbing Express serviced. I paid $450 for a repair that did not address the actual problem I originally called about. In Response to Ty G: Your response is totally incorrect. I would not have called the second plumber and the leak detection company if your recommended restoration company had not told me that the leak was not identified. The pictures taken are of the secondary bathroom not the master as we discussed in our phone call. It is totally "disingenuous" for you to now state that the master toilet was the issue. This validates everything I thought about your company. Others beware!

Thursday 1/10/16: Water company leaves a tag on my door (which I discover at 6:00 PM) informing me I have a leak (half gallon per minute to be precise)... 36,000 gallons since last reading. I freak, gotta get it fixed fast ... so I asked a realtor friend for a plumber recommendation and she suggested Pike Plumbing (from a list they keep of good contractors and service providers they've used before). Called Kenny around 8:00 PM, he promised to have a crew there by mid-day the next day! The 2 man crew (Glenn and Devin - who turned out to be awesome professionals) were there by 11:30 the next day with a van full of equipment and a backhoe on a trailer (just in case). They were able to locate the problem and fix it within about an hour and a half (which included manually digging down, replacing the bad copper fitting / section, testing and refilling the hole, and cleanup). They told me exactly what they were doing all along the way, only fixed what was needed to be fixed, did not try to upsell me on unnecessary work, and were very mindful not to mess up the stucco work and recent whole house paint I just had completed (they noticed that on their own and unsolicited put protective plastic sheeting against the house while they were working). All round a good job and I really appreciated not having worry about "what" they were doing and if it was the right fix... Friday 1/11/16, 12:45 (less than 18 hours after contact): Problem solved and I can drink water from my spigot and (more importantly) flush again. read more

The customer service this company gave me was absolutely amazing! It was about 4pm on a week day when I was going to run a bath and a pipe burst. Water was going EVERYWHERE! I was pretty much freaking out at this point, frantically running around with towels trying to make sure the water didn't get to out of control and trying to figure out how to turn my water line off. I was looking for a good company to come out quickly and help in an emergency situation. After calling about 3 other companies with no luck I called Pike Plumbing. The owner answered the phone, I gave him a brief description of what was going on and he said "okay I'm going to get someone out to you in 20 minutes". WOW! Devon showed up 20 minutes later. At this point I had figured out how to turn the water off, but he figured out what happened and fixed it all in under an hour. Very reasonable pricing. Everything about dealing with Pike Plumbing was a wonderful experience....except for the cause. A few days before Christmas my water main began leaking. From my first call (after hours) answered by Kenny Pike to the first visit by Glen for inspection to the final goodbye from Brian Crider every interaction was pleasant, informative and professionally concluded. A complete description of all activity was offered and explained and alternate options were offered. They even answered a few plumbing questions not related to the current issue. Had a shower valve that broke (stripped) last night and called Pike after reading the high reviews. I had done a little research re what I believed the issue was prior to calling. Although it was evening hours, they promptly returned my call and after discussion with Pikes, they explained how I could get the part required at local hardware store and fix myself since we had to turn the water off at the main, or they can come by next day to fix. Great that their our businesses that look after the customer 1st vs. short-term business profit, I was able to fix myself, but will absolutely contact Pikes when I have an issue that requires a professional. I had another well known plumbing company come out to check a leak in my living room ceiling. They charged me $300 to cut several holes in the ceiling and not find the problem. When the problem didn't reoccur for several weeks I contacted Pike Plumbing since they were local to come out and see if they could find the problem and fix. They were out the next day, found the problem immediately, and fixed it at a great price. I will definitely go with them when I have other plumbing needs. A pipe sprang a leak under my dishwasher in the middle of the night. The next morning, (a day before Thanksgiving), Mr. Kenny Pike answered the business number and within 2 hours Joshua and Chris arrived at my place and fixed my leak! I went from extreme dread to immediate relief once the professional, personable, and fully knowledgeable guys explained what was needed and that they were ready right then to fix it with no wait! We had a leak from our shower onto the family room ceiling. We hired a plumber who did a great job locating the leak and was honest when he told us he did not have the tools to correct the issue which was the shower drain pipe was not flush against the floor. So, we hired Pike Plumbing (Kenny) who said he would call before he came to our house. He did not call and just showed up at our front door. We told him what the other plumber had said and he did not take the time to fix the drain. All he did was apply plumber's putty, was here less than a half hour and charged $125. Our Water Heater busted on a Wednesday during the "Deep Freeze" in January 2014, and we called around and most plumbers could not get to us until Saturday. Pike called us back and said they could get someone out to us in 30 minutes and get it installed. You do not know how relieved we were! And it was $50 cheaper than anyone else had quoted us also! They came out and got everything everything done in an hour and half, because another busted pipe had been discovered, and he was able to take care of that also. Glenn and Devin saved my house from what would have been catastrophic water damage. I called Pike because I had a small pipe leaking in the basement. They said they would be out later in the day. Words cannot express how superb the service is with Pike Plumbing. Victims of a cold front bringing the temperature down to 5 degrees, many of us suffered frozen and ruptured water pipes in our homes so there was about a 4-day wait to have these pipes repaired. However, I contacted Pike Plumbing and they responded to my service call within 24 hours repairing all my damaged pipes in just a couple of hours and at a very reasonable price. I called Pike Plumbing last week when I noticed my water heater leaking. Mr. Pike was extremely easy and pleasant to deal with and came out exactly when he said he would and on time. He replaced my water heater even replacing a part that normally would have cost me $75 and also correcting some plumbing and venting issues that weren't right with the previous water heart but not charging anything extra. Pike Pluming was referred to me by a friend when the pipe coming into my house burst after freezing. They were very nice, very aware of my situation. They were working long, hard days to restore water to many people. I expected to just get on their list, but they were able to come about 7:00 the next night. When we replaced it, the new one was placed directly on the basement floor with no pan or anything around it or under it. Our basement has never flooded before (in 25 years) but it looks like some water may have come in near the new water heater. I don't know why else there would be water inside the water heater at the bottom. Hunter said they can no longer honor the warranty for the water heater because of this. It seems like it should have been raised off the ground at least a couple of inches when it was installed or had a pan of some sort to protect the bottom of the water heater. But I'm not an expert on water heater installation so what do I know? Hunter got the water out with paper towels and relit the pilot light. Hooray! Hunter saved the day. I think he may have changed the setting back down to its lowest because we are running out of hot water very quickly when showering. Hopefully that's all that has been done. We keep forgetting to check it until we're freezing in the shower :)

So two nephews of Kenneth Black arrived quicker than what we were told, used their camera and located the blockage. I tried to pay them and they said NO CHARGE!!! I said well I don't have any cash but please take a tip of my debit card. They said no, no tip. These two men were polite, courteous, knowledgeable and just super great employees. To imply that the other firm did something against code or improper is really low. They actually…read moreidentified the leak (which was above ground at the connection) and showed it to me with the bubbles as opposed to your team that couldn't find it and just wanted to dig everything up for a ton of money. The way the generator line was installed was pulling sideways on the stack putting too much pressure on the connection over time. They went and got the correct pipe and fittings to bring the connection over further to eliminate the side pressure on the gas stack and thereby correct the problem. All done with correct materials and above ground.

Serv'all REFUSED to accept any responsibility for the damage. So I was out $2,000. This company was recommended to me by a friend which I realize now means nothing.
