I discovered I had an underground water line leak when I noticed my meter was still running with all the water shut off inside the house. My usage had spiked from about 9,000 gallons a month to 27,000 gallons. There was a pool of water in my front yard and I even had ducks showing up, which should tell you how bad it was. I reached out to a few plumbers in the area and Arrowhead was one of the first to respond. Derrick, the owner and a Master Plumber, came out to assess the situation. He was upfront about all the options, from a patch repair to a full line replacement, and explained the pros and cons of each without pressuring me into anything. He always took my opinion into consideration. The estimate was fair and clearly written. He sent the invoice via both text and email, and offered multiple ways to pay. The crew showed up on time Wednesday morning. They finished at a reasonable time, which seemed quick to me for a full water line replacement from the meter to the house. The workers were all really nice and professional. Before he left, Derrick was very thorough. When the job was finished I was excited and ready to use the water again. I tested everything and it was working as expected. It would have been easy for Arrowhead to just pack up and leave at that point, but Derrick took the time to make sure I was well equipped to check pressure and plumbing in my home. He actually found that I had toilets that needed to be rebuilt and were still running water. I had no idea they were leaking or even how to check for that. I was assigned Arrowhead Plumbing through Cinch Home Services warranty to replace a leaking water heater. The plumber demanded over $1,000 in non-covered costs, claiming all the extra work was required by Georgia building code. When I asked for specifics on the code requirements, he refused to provide any. To ensure I wasn't being overcharged, I brought in another plumber for a second opinion. The second plumber showed me that most of the items I was being charged for weren't necessary, and the legitimate out-of-pocket cost should have been around $350. I attempted to work through the warranty company to adjust the charges, but Arrowhead Plumbing then refused to do the work at all. Cinch Home Services also refused to validate Arrowhead's demands or let me work with a different service provider. This experience has been frustrating, to say the least. I strongly encourage others to avoid Arrowhead Plumbing and Cinch Home Services and look into the complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau if you're considering using them. read more

I initially used arrowhead plumbers because they were who my home warranty company sent me to replace a broken sewage ejector pump. The sewage ejector pump is in our basement where my mother-in-law lives. We have had several problems with the previous pump and are very careful to only flush toilet paper in small amounts at a time as we understand that these pumps get clogged easily by anything other than toilet paper. I've had to call Arrowhead on a couple of occasions after installation as the pump failed to work and the basement would overflow with waste water. I would unplug it for a couple of hours then plug it back in and it would work. Finally, after this happened several times, I had them come out before the warranty was expired (The pump has a 3 year warranty and the labor had one year warranty) - but when they plugged the pump in it kicked on and worked fine. Since the pump was working they just left. They mentioned that there were some sanitary wipes on the back of the toilet and that those would mess up a sewage ejector pump if flushed. They must have made a note of it because each time I speak to them they bring up the sanitary wipes, which I have to repeatedly tell them that we do not flush. The issue of the backed up waste water has been happening more often so I called them to examine the pump. It was 2 days outside of the installation warranty, but I was told by the owner 2 times that as long as there were no sanitary napkins in the reservoir that he would honor the warranty and replace the pump. I explained to him that we were moving out of state in 2 weeks and that it was important to get this issue fixed so that we could list our home on the market. This, I see now, was a mistake. A tech came out a few days later and emptied the water from the reservoir and told me there were sanitary napkins in there. By this time we had completely stopped the use of sanitary napkins because we thought it was better just to not have them down there. Why would we continuously do something that made my house stink of waste? We were trying to fix the problem not make it worse. This makes no sense. I looked in the reservoir and I could clearly see a lot of toilet paper. We use Cottonelle brand toilet paper which has a corduroy pattern which could clearly still be seen on the paper inside the tank. There were NO SANITARY NAPKINS!! There was nothing in there except toilet paper. The tech said that he couldn't tell the difference between the sanitary napkins or the toilet paper unless he dug it out of the reservoir which he proceeded to put the top back onto without telling me what was going on - why did he not pull the toilet paper out and examine it better?? Apparently, after several phone calls between the tech and the owner - the owner told him to take pictures and send them to the manufacturer to see if they wanted to honor the warranty, as I suppose he changed his mind about honoring the warranty himself. He also told the tech to get my debit card # so that is it wasn't covered they would put the cost on my card. Which, sorry, but NO! These guys were calling me a liar and were attempting to rip me off. It was blatant disregard of the conversation that we had. I took really good pictures of the toilet paper with a headlamp on and focusing on the texture and of course they don't want those pictures they want to use the dark blurry ones taken by the tech. Lastly, I got a phone call this morning saying that they sent the pictures to the manufacturer to see if they wanted to cover the warranty and the we would not hear back for some time as the owner is now on vacation. Don't use this company. They will rip you off if they see the opportunity! EDIT: I just had some plumbers leave my home. They cleaned the existing sewage ejector pump, there was nothing clogging the motor or caught in the impeller. Most importantly, there were no sanitary wipes found in the tank - Only toilet paper. Additionally there was a plastic 2.5 inch plastic disc in the tank that was most likely causing these issues. Had Arrowhead cleaned out the tank properly the first time, that piece of trash would have not been in the tank in the first place. I have attached the receipt stating that only toilet paper, as well as the plastic disc, was found in the tank. If there was any negligence it was by Arrowhead plumbing and not us. Arrowhead owes me $700 which was the cost that I paid the plumbers who cared enough to troubleshoot the issue instead of worrying about if they wanted to respect a warranty (or their word) or not. This weekend I learned that we truly take for granted the luxury of running water. Take a second and thank whomever (or whatever) you thank for the running water in your house. Friday morning I had a pipe burst in my front yard. I called a different plumber who basically jerked me around all day saying he was coming "soon." At 3PM I finally told him "God bless and good day" consulted Yelp and was lead to Arrowhead Plumbing. When I called Berta answered the phone and said she had to check to see who was in the area and would call back in 5 mins. Guess what happened in 5 mins? My phone rang and Berta informed me that a technician would be there within the hour. 20 mins later Jose called and informed me he would be there in 10 mins. 10 mins he was there. He diagnosed the issue but didn't have the part to fix it. He said that he would have to come back tomorrow between 1 and 3. His supervisor spoke to me on the phone and gave a price estimate. 1:20 Saturday Leo (Jose's supervisor) called and informed me he was on his way. He introduced himself explained that he would take a look and let me know when he found something. I watched him work from my window and saw that he was very thorough. He replaced the pipe that was causing the issues and all the connectors surrounding it. Then rang the doorbell and explained to me what he did. He said that my builder used cheap parts(typical) and left huge stones buried on my line so he replaced the entire section because he doesn't like working behind anyone and removed the stones. He then covered everything up. Leaving my yard undisturbed in appearance. Yay! When it came time to pay I remembered a different price than what he tried to charge. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because Friday was a stressful day and I was given many quotes. He charged what I said because "I won't let $25 make me lose you as a customer." Smart. As for pricing, it seemed average because the "soon"company quoted me similar pricing. I've had a similar issue (cheaper) a couple years ago and the company that repaired it then was no where near as thorough as Leo was. I would recommend Arrowhead. I love their customer service and the fact that they stand by their "do it right" motto. I will be calling them back to upgrade the tub in the master bath. read more

My home buyer's warranty company sent them out. Appointment 2: slot was 11-1. At 1030 they called to see if we could do 3-5. After I called several times to check the status, I was told at 3pm that they weren't coming today. The receptionist is not empowered to fix issues or make anything right. "The Bells" (owners) are not available to talk. Appointment 1: Good news: He arrived on time. He showed me how to flip the cold water switch under my sink. Bad news: He told me that one of two things could be causing my low pressure. One is covered by my home buyer's warranty and the other is not. I want to fix them sequentially, the covered piece first but he insisted on doing both together to save himself time. He spoke to me condescendingly a number of times. We had a major water leak in our slab, this was the 2nd time in a year 1st time it took 5 months for the insurance to get our house back to normal, we did not use Arrow head the 1st time. The 2nd time this happen was the week before Christmas of this past year year, twice in one year we couldn't believe it. I found Arrowhead on the web and gave him a call. I will say this I did not like Derrick at 1st and I even told him this. But after a couple of visits to the house and meeting with the insurance company I told him I would let him do the work. I would have to say best choice I have very made for anyone to do any work on my house. They told the insurance company the only way they would do the works to it the right way and that was to repipe the house an to run it not under the slab but to run up top. Derrick payed out how the work was going to be done, and time frame. I was not expecting it to be done as he has said it would, there is always something to go wrong or delays, or something. It's rare that I am blown away by the kindness and professionalism of a service company, especially these days. I cannot thank Derrick Bell, Sr. enough for the help he gave us. We were hearing a gurgling sound in our kitchen sink when the dishwasher drained and scheduled an appointment to have our pipes jetted. When Derrick came and did some initial tests, he wasn't hearing the gurgling sound. He came back again today to confirm and the clog appears to have cleared itself out. Instead of still telling us to get the jetting service (which he easily could have done), he said that we should save our money - and then he didn't even charge us for his visits! Arrowhead completed a no-trench water service line to the house. The service was delivered on time and within estimate - within one day. Staff were professional, friendly and responsive. They did a great job of filling and repairing the hole at the house entrance of the service line - but, not as great a job in the front of the lawn where the service comes in from the street. These guys are true professionals and plumbing experts. They really saved the day and further damage on my rental property when I had a stoppage that backed up into the house. I had a dishonest plumbing company (Delmar construction) come out that tried to scam me out of my money. Then I was referred to Arrowhead and they were so refreshingly honest and repaired the pipe and installed another cleanout for $4,000 less than the other company tried to charge me for an incorrect diagnosis. Derrick Jr. did the repair promptly and competently. Arrowhead will be the only plumbing company I will have to do work on my rental property or my residence from now on. Very pleased with the service. I had a blocked sewer line that was backing up into the house. This happened two days before leaving for a week vacation. The plumber came out promptly and the line was opened temporarily. I scheduled the permanent repair the day of our return from vacation. Arrowhead plumber came by our house after we left for vacation to shut off water at the street so we did not have to worry about any problems while gone. I was given a quote for the expected work done. But the repair job took less time and effort than originally thought, so Arrowhead adjusted the quote and price to a substantially lower figure. I have had difficulty finding a plumber or plumbing company that I felt was honest and interested in keeping satisfied customers. Arrowhead is the company I have been seeking. Plumbers were very polite, did a great job, and cleaned up completely after their work. I will call them next time I have any issues with my plumbing. read more

Initially I was impressed with this business. I had a water leak, wasn't sure where it was but my water bill was $400-$500 and growing. I called Arrowhead, based on the Google reviews I saw about the company. The owner came out the next day and informed me of a water leak under my slab(concrete). Said that I should call my insurance company and he would call a leak detector to find the exact spot of the leak. The leak detector was a very nice gentleman and marked the spot of the leak. After going through everything with my insurance company, I called Arrowhead back and notified them that I was ready to start the repair. I was told they could come Tuesday morning around 10. Tuesday morning I received a call from a plumber with Arrowhead stating that he was running behind and wouldn't be able to start until around 11. He asks me what was going on, I tell him that I had a water leak and he says where. Now this was strange to me because I had already gone back and forth with them and had an invoice detailing what was going to be completed. I thought that had been communicated to him already. This was my 1st red flag. While he stated that he would be here at 11, he didn't show up until 12:20. Instantly he and his helper come in and access the situation. He tells me that it's going to cost $960 to complete the work. I tell him that my insurance company requires a breakdown of digging through the slab, cost of the repair and pouring the new concrete. He goes and creates a work order, which is now $1160. Then he tells me that there is a 6 hour minimum for this repair at $160 an hour, with each additional hour costing $160 an hour. 6hr at $160 per hour=$960. I ask him why that wasn't specified in the initial visit, no answer. So I called up to Arrowhead's answering service to try and speak with the owner, for clarification, the answering service told me he would be calling me back. Instead he calls his plumber back while he is standing in front of me and when his plumber asks if he would like to speak with me he says NO. The plumber and I go back and forth with the owner on the line, I never get a chance to speak with him. They could not justify the cost and I knew I was being handled. After getting off the call, I asked them to leave. I called another master plumber in the area, very well respected plumber, he comes out and quotes me $600 for the exact same repair. Arrowhead has lots of great reviews, but in this particular case, they showed very little professionalism or disclosure of their fees. When I called my insurance adjuster and asked him about the 6 hour minimum, he said that he had NEVER heard of this before. Before you pay them to do work for you, make sure that you have several quotes to compare with theirs. Don't let yourself be cheated just because they have good reviews, there are other great plumbers in the area. read more
