Zone replaced our old 3 ton AC with 3.5 ton Carrier heat pump. Jason came to our house to provide an estimate, he was very knowledgeable on AC, and pointed out an installation issue with our existing system which no one else had spotted. He explained the difference between the different carrier products - we went for the mid-range. The installation only took a morning including a new suction line and extra duct to living room. Installation is very neat and well done. Price was very competitive units use the new R410 refrigerant. I'm a Zone customer now for the last 7 years (termite customer). Every year I get my termite inspection visit. They walk around the outside of my home, they inspect my storage shed under my porch; and they also inspect my basement and garage area too. These are locked spaces, so I have to be there for the inspection. This year, I set my appointment for yesterday at 11am, but the tech (Elijah) showed up more than an hour early and "completed" the appointment without me being there. This is unacceptable because he didn't get to inspect my basement, garage, and storage shed. So, I called the office and left a message for a potential reschedule. Then Elijah ends up calling back a few minutes later and apologizes, and proceeds to tell me that he moved my appointment up because he had other appointments across town and he was trying to stay on schedule. Again, this is unacceptable because I also had a scheduled appointment, so why couldn't he honor my appointment time too? So, against my better judgement, Elijah and I discussed further, and he agreed to come out today between 12 and 1pm to complete the rest of the inspection. Then, at 11:30 am today, I receive a confusing voicemail from Elijah that ultimately sounded like he was cancelling our appointment. I was very upset about that, but to be fair, I wasn't completely sure he was canceling, so I ended up texted him around 12:25 to confirm he was still coming out today. But he replied back confirming he was canceling. His basic reason for the cancel was due to distance from his home (he says he lives in Winder), and also he doesn't normally work on Saturdays and Sundays. Unacceptable!! So, from my personal experiences, it seems like Zone home doesn't do a good job with honoring their appointments. One more thing to add... (Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue I've had with Zone where I've had to write an unflattering review. When I first signed with them back in 2015 or 16, I had a somewhat similar appointment related issue, but that was ultimately handled by Michael Adams (VP of Operations). He did a great job, so that's why ultimately ended up signing with Zone. ) read more

He is direct, honest, so knowledgeable and always does what he says he is going to do. One of the best decisions we ever made was purchase a heat pump several years ago because of him. He really looks out for his clients. Steve Prigge has been the technician servicing our heating and air conditioning for the past several years. He is professional, very knowledgeable of the equipment and a nice guy. When we have questions he is good about explaining things. Years ago we had a bad experience with a technician at another company so we are very particular about who performs our service. With Steve we have a comfort level knowing that service has been done properly and our furnace/air conditioner are in good shape. First impressions are so important in business. Val Vanderpool is one of the best. She is always cheerful and helpful when calling for appointments or information in general. As with the rest of Jason's team, she stays so informed. She is so good when trying to schedule a time that works for everyone based on the need. Also, we have called her a few times with general questions and she made sure we had the information we needed. This is an outstanding team and we appreciate all of them more than you know! We can't say enough good things about them. In 2021 we moved into a new home and started using Zone Pest Solutions, based on recommendation from Jason. Todd Collyer is our technician. He is polite, professional, a very nice man and quick to answer any questions we have. We are glad to say that we have not had a pest issue since starting the service with you and working with Todd. I had a couple of companies come out. The first company told us that we needed two new systems costing over $10,000 in total. The Zone technician came out and went a step further and looked for, and identified, where the issue was. Based on his diagnostics, I only needed a new AC coil and a repair on the other unit. The total cost was $3,800, saving us $6,200. Both AC units are nice and cold on the summer days. The diagnostic tech and install techs were punctual and arrived within the window of time they quoted. The only reason that I did not give 5*'s is because I would have preferred if the technician provided more detailed notes as to what repair was done and an itemized invoice of the work performed. Also, it took 4 days to get the install tech out to repair the unit. Other companies I have had experience with in the past make a point to come out the next day for installs. I understand that this is a new company and they will get there. Keep in mind that the positives far outweighed the negatives and I would 100% use this company again. I just wanted to provide an honest review of my experience. To sum it up, It's really hard to find a company that you can trust to be honest with you and not try to get you to spend money on things that are not needed just to pad their wallets. The AC on our attic-based HVAC system stopped working. I was able to see that the problem was related to the compressor no longer working / starting up. The temperature on that floor went up 87F and stayed there all day, making it impossible to be comfortable up there. Enter Zone Home Solutions to this story.. I called the company's phone service and spoke with a very nice lady who took my information and passed it along to the on-call folks yesterday evening (Saturday 7/15), asked me for some additional info and set me up with a weekend/afterhours appointment for today (Sunday 7/16). Chris was the technician that Zone sent out to visit our home. They use a system to send email and text updates on both the appointment and arrival estimates, which made it easy for us to anticipate Chris' arrival. Chris got right to work and quickly agreed that the appearance was of a problem with the compressor. He found that the capacitor was dead, so he swapped that out... only to find that the compressor still would not start. He asked if it was OK to swap the contactor on the unit as well, which I agreed to. This did the trick! He also topped off the coolant since his diagnostics revealed that the system was otherwise in good shape but likely hadn't had additional coolant added to provide the required total pressure in the system. Chris also reviewed my attic layout for a couple of vents in my house that are underperforming. He shared feedback that the plenum around the air handler was not installed correctly/properly and, as such, the system is less than effective/efficient at this time. However, he entered appropriate notes so that the folks at Zone know what we're hoping to have looked at/addressed to further improve that system's ability to manage the heating and air conditioning of our home. To sign this off, I want to send a huge "THANK YOU!!" to Chris - you did an outstanding job and we very much appreciate that. This was our first experience with Zone Home Solutions and we're thrilled with the results, so far. TL;DR - If you live in Zone Home Solutions' service area Look no further.
