The price estimates given on the phone when you call, "Affordable" Septic Services are NOT the price you will probably end up paying. Like the other Yelp postings warned, the price increases occur while they are on site and at a point where it would be difficult to stop the work. They even raise the price on jobs that are done preventively where there have been NO PROBLEMS!! The person answering the phone reassured me the price our size septic tank would be the estimated price and would not be raised like other yelpers had reported. According to the job foreman-there apparently are "always issues" found, so they raise the price AFTER the holes are dug. Based on our experience, It appears you can't really get the actual price they will charge you before the work has already started and there are big holes in your yard! We have had NO PROBLEMS EVER with our septic after buying the house. NO PROBLEMS ! It has worked PERFECTLY !! We told the person on the phone this before the crew arrived and told the crew that showed up. When they dug two big holes and uncovered the two openings to the septic tank, they FOUND NO PROBLEMS!! They asked when it was last pumped and we told them we were not sure but we had not pumped it in the past 6 years, AFTER THEY DUG THE TWO BIG HOLES IN THE YARD, AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS, THEY TOLD US THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE $175 MORE THAN THE PRICE THEY HAD ORIGINALLY TOLD US FOR THE JOB BECAUSE WE HAD NOT FOLLOWED THE NATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO PUMP EVERY 5 YEARS. Again- there was NOTHING WRONG with our septic system.
