I bought my home new in 1991. Fortunately, the only polybutylene problem I faced in 30 years was the outdoor supply line bursting within the slab around 2000 (covered by the class action lawsuit). Recently, I had another break of the poly in the slab running to the front exterior hose valve. Temporary remedy was to turn it off at the dedicated shut-off valve inside my house. No damage. In Fall, the cold water supply line to my kitchen sink slightly split, causing unseen leakage under cabinets and flooring until it eventually crossed through the wall into the garage, causing a damp spot I could notice. That was a major renovation in the kitchen. Not wanting to chance another break, I started researching "re-piping" companies for a turnkey solution. I checked with friends and neighbors for recommendations. I settled on a half dozen providers and began the learning/estimate process. Some were booked out farther than I wanted to wait. Others provided prices which seemed too high. After researching all on my list, I had new knowledge but was not comfortable with the companies I spoke with and/or their prices. I returned to my neighborhood's webpage and found a company which I had overlooked - Greenlee Plumbing. I first read ratings of customers online. Then I called to for an estimate. I got the sense I'd be in the right hands from my initial phone call. The price was in the range I needed it to be with a reasonable warranty. Yet they were booked more than two months ahead. My gut said I needed the work completed sooner. As I thanked Joni at Greenlee Plumbing for the estimate and explained my situation, she re-checked their schedule and found a spot that was awaiting final confirmation. She said she would let me know if the date became available. It did! So I was on the schedule that day. Ten days later, a crew of five came to re-pipe, opening walls and ceilings. They were diligent, careful and courteous. I also decided to replace the shower and tub valves, faucets, drain stoppers and toilets. I did separate research and shopping on these, purchasing the items and having them ready for installation. They completed everything in a day, and another crew came out to repair drywall and paint the repaired areas. They also did a great job, closely matching existing stipple patterns and wall and ceiling paint colors. I am very pleased Greenlee Plumbing's work throughout the entire project. I had many questions come up as I prepared, and Joni was quick to find answers for me. The crews arrived on time and did a good job of covering areas, minimizing sheetrock dust. I did ask them to come back and adjust two toilets that rocked slightly against the floor. A couple shims corrected the issue. I live in Marietta. Since moving into my house 2 years ago, I have had 4 or 5 pin-hole leaks in my copper pipes. Unfortunately, these leaks exist for a while before you realize it. Literally, the holes in the pipes are smaller than the diameter of a safety pin. Apparently, this is a common problem in my area due the minerals/chemicals in the water. After having 2 leaks in the last 2 weeks (and finding 2 inches of standing water behind a wall), I decided it was time to re-pipe the house. I live in a 2 story house, plus an unfinished basement). If I ever want to finish the basement, better to re-pipe while most of the pipes are exposed and accessible before putting a ceiling in, which would only make it more difficult and expensive. I found Greenlee plumbing based on a Google search about the merits of PEX piping. I called them up, got a quote over the phone, and they were out by the end of the week. They showed up exactly when they said they would (even 3 minutes early, and they texted me when they were on their way). They re-piped the entire house (4 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and outdoor spigots) in a single day (8 hours total). There was only 1 minor issue (with an O-ring, whatever that is), which they addressed immediately. The next day, the sheetrock team came out and had everything repaired by late afternoon, INCLUDING painting (which matches the existing color almost seamlessly...if you didn't know I'd had the work done, you'd never notice it). The entire team was professional and courteous. They laid drop cloths and put up plastic to ensure minimal mess and dust. And they did the work in a manner that minimized the damage to the walls. Special kudos to Tommy and Brad, who ran the project. Without hesitation or qualification, I would recommend Greenlee Plumbing to anyone who needs to have their house re-piped (or any other plumbing issue, for that matter). Their price was very fair. It was neither the lowest nor highest price, but theirs is the only one that included repair of the drywall and painting. I am EXTREMELY satisfied and grateful. Job well done! We had a slab leak in the garage and Greenlee came to investigate it. They recommended that we have a leak detection company come out and determine where it was actually coming from before just tearing into the floor where the water was coming out to be sure they found the actual leak and repaired it. After further discussion, we determined that the cost of the repair would be significant with no guarantee that another one wouldn't occur in the future based on the age of our pipes and home as well as the amount of piping under the foundation. We decided to do a re-pipe which removed all of the copper pipe from underneath the foundation and replaced the lines in our downstairs with Pex. This involved removing drywall in several rooms, replacing the pipes and repairing the drywall. Much to our surprise, this only took 2 days and the water supply was only off for about 6 hours. The drywall repair work was excellent with no evidence of it after completion. Yes, the process was a bit messy but not near as bad as we expected and they cleaned up after themselves. We had our cleaning service the day after completion do a deep clean and we are very happy with the result. I had the polybutylene pipe entirely replaced in my house and yard. Also had some extra work done to upgrade the showers and replaced a toilet. On day 1, a crew of approximately 8 plumbers showed up at 8:30 am and completed the pipe replacement by 4:30pm. This is a 3.5 bath home. The plumbers worked together as a team and were all very nice guys. They kept the dust level to a minimum by using lots of plastic. The next day the drywall crew of 3 guys showed up at 9am and were done by 5pm. The plumbers had labeled the drywall cut-outs so they knew exactly where to put them back. They did a great job matching the paint. I'm not able to see any indication the the drywall was ever cut out. The outside plumbers discovered that the outside line between the meter and the house had already been replaced before I purchased the house. There was about 3 feet of polybutylene that had to be replaced that was connected to the house. They also added an outside cutoff valve. Because the outside work didn't require as much time as was previously estimated, they cut the bill approximately $500. Brian and Mario were onsite the next day which was Tuesday and had called 45 mins before the expected arrival time. The guys just did a wonderful job of replacing my water main line that came from the street into my home.The work was explained in advance, professionally completed and worksite was left cleaner than when they arrived, all while being respectful of my yard/landscape. We have used Greenlee for the past 4 plumbing repairs on our home and have been 100% satisfied each time. We opted to have 2 different water main leaks repaired a year apart. This past time Brian pulled up and we agreed it was time to replace the whole line. I was extremely impressed with the confidence of the upfront quote with the fact that the work would be done without having to view the home first. It was as if he knew my home. They crew showed up on time and started to work. I was amazed at how they found ever pipie and used precision skill to only remove sheetrock neccessary. Great care was used to cover floors and carpet with tarps and dust prevention. I expected this work to be a week job. to my amazement, I came back the next day to find all of the repairs completed and at painting stage. These are my go to plumbers for all my plumbing needs. I have used these guys for years. I see the same plumbers each time they come to my house. They are VERY honest and dependable. They do great work and have always given me nothing but great things to say about this company and its workers. When I have needed them quickly, they have done what they could do to rearrange their schedule. When I unexpectedly ended up needing to replace some fixtures I had, it meant that the plumbers were going to have to come back another day and do the work after I had gotten the needed materials. Very happy with the customer service and finished product. I called three places to get my water supply line replaced in the front yard. A big name company out of Atlanta came and did a long drawn out sales pitch and quoted an outrageous price for 50 feet of replacement line. When I questioned the price that salesman went straight to a high pressure intimidation sales technique. The second company made an appointment to provide an estimate and never even showed up. Greenlee gave a quote over the phone after asking some basic questions and sent a plumber out to confirm the price the next day. I agreed to the estimate and the work was done a few days later. The plumber Brian explained everything that he had done and was one of the nicest tradesmen I have dealt with, God bless him. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job, even spreading the mulch and replanting the grass that was disturbed. I have had Greenlee plumbing out to the house four times, 35-year-old house. Shower valve replacement. Water heater replacement. Water Line replacement. Shower/Tub to Shower conversion: drain relocation and new shower valve. Each time they were professional, personable and reliable. More importantly is how they provided service when there was a problem. The manufacturer of the water heater had bad gas valves. There was never a safety issue, just the inconvenience of no hot water. I had two bad values. Each time I called they came out the same day and replaced the valve, now that is service. I spoke with them about the problem with the manufacturer and they advised that they manufacture was overwhelmed and could not supply all the replacement valves needed. Wow! Fantastic job!!! Awesome service the very day called. Gary was great on the phone not making any promises but said he would do his best to get a crew out to the house if possible when they finished their scheduled job. This was on a Friday and when the phone call came that a crew had finished in Stone Mountain and would stop by on their way home, we were thrilled. The guys got here and worked until finished way into the evening. Our water line to the house had started leaking at the house. The crew ran a new line from the meter and entered the house at a more reasonable area than the builder who had placed it under a brick front porch across the driveway. My copper pipes were getting pinhole leaks; second time in 1 year. So before I had my insurance company repair the water damage, I decided to have my house re-piped. Steve and another man came to replace our broken water heater. They picked up the one we had bought from Home Depot. Once they saw that our old water heater was still under warranty, they removed it and took it to exchange for a new one from the place we had purchased it from previously. We have had so many leak problems recently, that we decided to do a copper repiping for our house. I went on Angie's list and Greenlee was one of the companies that got back to me asap. Greg came out 12/6/21 to replace our 18 year old 50 gallon gas hotwater tank with a new Rheem tank. Arrived a little late but called to let me know. Before installing the tank he had to shutoff the house main water SOV. It didn't shutoff so he had to go to the street to turn it off. I asked if he could replace the bad valve and I thought, here comes another charge parts and labor. He said he could do it. He removed the tank replaced the bad valve in a better location for me to have access including additional new copper tubing in the area.Got everything done and working great.
