Had a bad experience with the scheduling - unfortunately. We made a few days ago an appointment for them to come to my house on a Thursday between 8am and 9am. And then, at the day of the appointment, at 8:35 am i receive a text msg asking me to confirm the appointment. I did not see that text msg bc I was talking on the phone, so they decided to cancel the appointment. I had organized my day in such a way to be available for them at my house between the agreed time-set. To ask for a confirmation during that same time-set and then to cancel on me 5 min. later is not right! The worst part was the way he talked to me on the phone afterwards. Brad and team did a fantastic job on some electrical work at my house. I needed an electric generator connector on the outside of my house to plug a large portable generator into in the event of a power outage to power the whole house. He also installed an interlock switch on my breaker panel so I can power the house without the danger of injuring a line worker. They did a fantastic job and were able to run the big cable through the crawlspace and up the wall without cutting the drywall in the laundry room. My wife was ecstatic since there was no mess. I called Socket Doctors about our double-ovens having no power. We just had a repair crew that came out last week and pretty much replaced all of the replaceable parts - however, because the ovens still weren't working, the crew told us that it was most likely a failed circuit breaker. Spoke to Brad on Monday and set up an appointment for this morning (Tue). Greg called ahead of time to let me know his approximate arrival. Greg metered the breaker and an intermediate junction box, both showing no issues and that power was flowing and deduced that the junction box behind the ovens was failing. Greg helped us slide the double-ovens out where he confirmed that the power to the oven panel was not right - he then opened the junction box and found a burned connector (most likely due to a faulty original install of the ovens two years ago). Greg snipped the lines, secured the connections, installed new wire nuts, flipped the circuit breaker back, checked the power and all was good. Personable, professional, experienced, qualified - arrived on time and set to work without delay - the total experience was exactly what I hoped. I highly recommend Socket Doctors and will bring them back out for any other electrical issues that we may have. Well done! read more
