We had a sewer back up that caused the whole house to stop draining. I called near 7pm and the tech came not long after. He gave me some options and went to work. Using a camera and snake, he located a root clog in the main pipe leaving the house. He was able to cut into the clog, pull some root fibers out and allow the house to drain, finishing after 10pm. What a releaf!! He was a life saver coming so late and giving us a temporary releaf. He then gave us some options on how to do a perminant fix. Great service. Not cheap but what is? read more

CONSUMER ALERT!!!!! The technician who came out was very polite and personable, so no complaints there. However, the service itself was extremely misleading. I called based on their advertised $150 septic pump-out for up to 1,000 gallons. Once on-site, I was told that because my tank was full, they could not perform the pump-out at that price. That doesn't make much sense--if a septic tank isn't full, why would you need it pumped? Instead, I was quoted $4,300 for a full system drain with a chemical treatment that was described as drying out the entire tank. I was also told that replacing the system could range anywhere from $25,000 to $45,000. After this, I contacted three other companies, and all of them confirmed that it is not true that a full tank cannot be pumped. I was also informed that standard pump-outs typically cost more because of disposal fees, which explains why the advertised $150 price is unrealistic. It felt like the low advertised price was simply a way to get in the door and then upsell significantly more expensive and unnecessary services. I would strongly recommend getting multiple opinions and considering a smaller, local company. The technician did not properly assess the system then deceptively offered to pump and "treat". The enzyme treatment, which literally consisted of pouring powder into the tank, cost nearly $2,000. We were then told by several other septic experts that this treatment was , at best worthless and at worst could create more harm to the system in the long run . Overall I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of investigation into the root of the problem, the exorbitantly high prices and the cherry on top is that we continue to have problems . read more

He was patient and took the time to explain everything in layman's terms. The Technician in my opinion represented the company well. When he didn't show up by 9:30 AM and no call from anyone at RooterPlus, I called customer service and they told me that Tech wasn't working today. They asked if I wanted to wait until Tuesday for the Tech, or if I wanted another Tech to come out. Everyone can probably imagine my response. It wasn't pretty. My experience with them is horrible. I needed my 1500 gallon tank pumped, but I am well aware of the nefarious dealings like upselling, hidden fees and non-performance of the task (not completely pumping the tanks) that septic companies are notorious for. David O'Connor was the tech and he is one of the good guys. He arrived on time and he was very friendly and professional, and he gave me a lot of information on how to extend the life of the tank. He explained everything that he would be doing and went over my options. After he was finished, he showed me that the tank was completely empty, the filter was cleaned and he took pictures of it for their records. In the end, the price was great and the job was done well and he was the reason for it being a positive experience. So the day after thanksgiving, I had 2 of my toilets not flushing, I tried plunging and snaking them, with no success, I went in my back yard and removed the clean out valve cap, and water over flowed (not supposed to do that) so I called RooterPLUS to come pump my tank. I was quoted on the phone $150 for a pump up to 1000 gallons. (I have a 1000-gallon septic tank), The two men arrived actually early, and I showed them where my tank was, it was only buried between 4-6 inch deep. They dug up the soil around the both the inlet and outlet lids, and removed the lids... There was about 20 inches of slime on top, measured just with a shovel, and I was told that was excess sludge. I disagreed... Then they quoted me, $525 for pumping, $400 for main house drain line cleaning, and then $3000 for cleaning drain field lines and treating them for blockage, and guaranteed the work for 1 year. I was giggling because I had read the reviews about how they bait and trap you into expensive unnecessary repairs. I said no thanks, that I just wanted the 1000-gallons of slime and waste water removed for the $150 I was quoted. The guy (Dillon) giggled back at me and said that was not a quote, but that he could not do that due to the amount of crust on the top of the tank, and that just for a pump it would $525 and the main line cleaning would be an additional $400. So more the 6X more what was advertised and promised.. I asked just for pumping with no main line clean out, and he stated again that it would $525 due to excessive crust on top of the tank. He never measured it, just used a shovel to estimate. I almost said no thanks, and sent them away. But I need the tank pumped, so against my better judgement I agreed. They 2 men started pumping away. as they got about 1/2 was down I saw the bottom of the main drain inlet and saw that it was still backed up, I asked if it was supposed to do that retain water, or flow out of the bottom, and he stated that it was supposed to flow freely, so I knew right then and there I had a clog in the main drain line from the house to the tank. I asked if he was at least going to try to push through it, and he said that I didn't pay for it, and he didn't own the company and wasn't allowed to do that.... so, I went and grabbed my large pry bar, and easily poked through the clog and let alone all of the water started flowing as it should be as if it were working normally. He really wanted $400 additional to poke a stick through about 1-2 inches of crust. So after they were done pumping, and cleaning up, using my house water hose (I gave permission) he said the bill was $525. I again disagreed with the charge since all they did was pump about 1000 gallons out of the tank. He stated no, the charge was $525 due to the amount of sludge and slime. I paid them, and they left... As I reviewed the receipt they emailed me, it was nothing of what actually happened. Task # A7802 Additional 500 gallon for $100 T7800 pump up to 1000 gallons for $150 T5462 Excessive solids for $275 Teh task#7802 was complete BS... The ripped me off of a $100.... On the evening of May 12, 2024, my house had a water leak in the basement (as shown in the picture). I had to turn off the water and call someone to come fix it. And I called Rooter Plus. They came, they said they had cut the wall to find the leak (as shown in the picture) but there was no water line in there. Then they diagnosed that there was a water leak in the spray nozzle in the kitchen sink upstairs. Then they said the part needed to be replaced, and the water pump system was damaged and needed to be replaced. They guaranteed that after the replacement, there would be no more water leaks and water could be used immediately. And they asked me to pay before they replaced the spray nozzle in the sink. And I also paid them before doing it. After they replaced the spray nozzle, I still saw water leaking like before, they said the old water was still stagnant, and the wastewater pump system had not been replaced, so they scheduled me to continue the next day. With this situation, I no longer trust them. The next morning, I still saw water leaking (as in the picture), then I knew they had misdiagnosed and repaired unnecessary services. They took advantage of customer trust, tricked customers to cheat money. And I called another company to check again, they said my house did not have water leakage but only had a blockage in the main drainage pipe in the yard, just need to clear the drainage pipe then the water will not flow back into the house anymore. And they finished. And they also checked the drainage pump system, there was no damage, still working well until now. It's just that Rooter Plus wants to cheat customers' money. They work deceitfully, tricking customers to get fees. Look at my bill to know how Rooter Plus works. Don't be foolish like me, lost money without getting anything done and they also damaged the wall. Had to spend more money to repair. I would like to share my sadness and experience so that everyone can be careful and not trust and give work to ROOTER Plus. I was foolish, so don't be foolish again. He got out the truck and told us that it would cost $28 G's because our drain fields had to be replaced. We didn't have $28 G's so he advised that he could treat the problem for just $4,500.00. We really didn't have that either but scraped something up. He did wind up giving us a few hundred off. I was so happy until I found out that to do the treatment we got, it would have only cost $1,000.00 MAXIMUM. OMG! I didn't research them but all of their bad reviews are right here. This company is a complete rip-off. When I called to say I needed my septic tank pumped out, they said it would cost $150. I asked several times and they definitely said it would be $150. When the company arrived, they dug a hole with an excavator down to the septic tank, opened the hatch, and said everything was bad and it would cost us $750 to shut off our septic tank. I was shocked!!! They wanted to charge me $750 to pump out the crap! He said, "You don't have to do that, I can close everything up and rebury it all." It's not profitable for me to do this work for you. We were planning to plant grass, so we needed this work done quickly, and my husband agreed to have them pump it out for us. . The $150 price is a scam. Do not fall for it. When I scheduled over the phone, I double checked with them about the pricing, and they told me that the pumping would be $150 for a 1000 gallon tank. They never clarified that the actual price will be higher (much higher!). When the technicians came in, they told me it's all water inside the tank, so I don't have to pump it now (which basically means I pay them $150 for removing the lid of my tank, and then for putting it back). Now when I told them it's been two years, and I need it pumped, then their 'all water' narrative changed into 'septic tank full of non-standard materials, grease, etc. Fact is, the tank was cleaner than most other tanks, and their 'non-standard' narrative is their way of charging you a high price while they have already opened your tank, so your best bet becomes getting the pumping done at the high price. I ended up paying $550 for the 1000 gallon pumping, which is higher than all local septic service providers in my area. Yesterday I requested for service to replace a washing machine junction box (the two valves that provide water cutoff for the washing machine) as one of my existing valves could no longer cut off. Communication was good and the tech was on time as advertised. He did an assessment and confirmed what I had told him. He then went into a comparison between an industrial install and a residential install. He showed me on his phone a quote for 1048.00 for this install. I said man hold on, in front of him I found the parts on home depot for 43.00 dollars and YouTube video to do the work DIY which took 15 minutes. I only called him because of time constraints.
