My next door neighbor was out of town. I have a key to her house in case it is needed. She called having heard from another neighbor that water was flowing down her driveway. I went in and saw that, after a deep freeze, it was "raining" in the garage. She called Rooter Pal and I was the in-person contact for her. Luca called, notified me of his ETA, and I explained what I'd seen. The city had come by and turned the water off at the meter prior to this. He went to work, I checked in a few times with him, and then he came over and got me to show what he'd done when he was finished, as well as sending photos to the homeowner. He was nice, very easy-going, and took care of business by replacing parts of three different pipes that had burst. It went much quicker than I would have imagined. He turned the water back on at the meter, showed that the electronic meter wasn't moving after over 30 minutes and then he shut it back off, flushed water out through the faucet and inside sink, so it would be ready until the homeowner was back in town. Frank, the owner is very friendly, how ever he had his employees tell me my bathroom floor was rotted and they could not reinstall my toilet, when I complained because it was the day before Thanksgiving and we had only one bathroom he had them install our toilet but said it was only temporary. Frank Youseflan, owner of ROOTER PAL Plumbing & Drain Service, was very responsive to the needs of our Homeowners Association. A storm drain pipe, four inch (4" ) in diameter, which originated off our property from another development to the South, was plugged past the clean-out on the Association's property. Drain pipe was originally installed over 30 years ago, at the time that our development was being built. Since the storm drain was plugged on Associations property and was running on our private road, we were responsible for the needed repair. Frank was extremely knowledgeable and efficient and first attempted to drain the pipe from the outside clean-out with Hydro-jet to no avail. He then inspected the drain with video camera and sonar locating device to locate the area where blockage occurred. The blockage was 67' from the clean-out were there was a separation in the pipe caused by tree roots and dirt entered the pipe and blocked the drainage. He cut the roots with the Hydro-jet as much as possible and restored drainage. However, this is merely a temporary fix and he strongly recommended excavating the area and repairing the separated pipe at a later time. He also recorded on a thumb drive while inspecting the drain pipe with a camera and gave it to us. I would highly recommend ROOTER PAL to anyone who has a need to clear a plugged drain of any type and wants to know that job will be done extremely well by an outstanding contractor. read more
