We had such a great dining experience here. It wasn't until day 2 we wanted an American breakfast and this was the perfect spot!! From the burgers, the French toast to the assorted alcoholic beverages, fresh juice and smoothies this place was a 10/10. I am so sad I cannot recall our servers name! She was so cheerful and appeared so excited to be at work. We even attempted to tip her and she politely declined and instead wished to receive a review about the restaurant. I had the French toast with their spicy syrup and it was really yummy! I also enjoyed my over easy eggs. I chose the Pink Pleasure as my drink and I found it to be very fresh but just ok however it was still drinkable. My hunny ordered a cheeseburger which was absolutely delicious. The fries were crunchy and fresh. He also had Purple Drank which was very good and rich drink. Overall the restaurant was busy, clean and the staff were very attentive. We had breakfast at the Roosters yesterday after waiting in line for 30 minutes. The wait was well worth it. The burrito I had kept me full all day. The joint is very much like the breakfast places in Los Angeles, so we felt right at home. To top it off the staff that was helping us, Emmad (sp?) made us feel so welcomed and that made a huge difference. Of course he made everyone feel great at the restaurant. Today, I am trying the chicken waffle. At 9:17 the place is almost full. The place has a seating area in the front and another in the back. There are ten seats bar style as well. It was delicious. I love the vibe of this place! We showed up super late--around 9 or 10 PM--and it was still buzzing with people, some even working on their laptops. It felt like the kind of spot where you could settle in, whether for a casual hangout or a productive night. The host greeted us right away and got our drinks fast. We ordered espresso (because it was going to be a long night), and instead of judging us, he seemed genuinely concerned that we hadn't slept in a while--which was kind of funny but also really nice. On top of that, we ordered two drinks, and they came with free tacos! The tacos had this beef stew-like filling, which was unexpected but interesting. The overall vibe leans more towards a cafe with American-style food rather than anything super traditional. We've been in Italy for a while now so we needed to mix up our brunches. Rooster cafe did not disappoint! The mango tango juice was beautiful and delicious, as was the purple drank. The eggs Benedict was phenomenal, and I do not say that lightly!! Perfectly cooked runny egg, delicious ham, and the English muffin was a perfect vessel. I also got the salmon and lox bagel, which was great as well. The smoked salmon is such a strong flavor that I could taste it more than the other ingredients. The bagel was softer and less thick than I was expecting, but it too was a great vessel. The potatoes were soft, hot, and well seasoned. Their homemade peanut butter was very thin, but delicious and authentic to the peanut taste. The service and ambiance were both very pleasant, no complaints here. There were tables when we arrived at 9:15 but they had developed a line out the door by 10:00. Highly recommend you stop here while you're in Florence! read more

We had two amazing breakfasts here during our stay in Florence . Located right off Via Tornabuoni , the restaurant opens at 9am, is quite large with a huge menu, great cappuccinos , fantastic service and most important ...air conditioning !!! The toast is Tuscan bread (so good!) and the eggs are light and tasty. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu from the smoothies , the fresh juices, ...try something new. Love this place. We located this gem a few blocks from our hotel. It was a welcome taste of home as they specifically serve American Food! The ambiance is cool and kinda hipster. Very comfortable and inviting. We ordered the hash, grandma pancakes, and English breakfast, which consisted of bacon, sausage, eggs, and pancakes with sautéed veggies. I also had an omelette on a different visit that came with a side salad. Everything was delicious, including the coffee! I saw this place on the way back to the hotel. They were advertising a 6€ gin and tonic, so I had to stop in. My boyfriend got the Carolina and loved it. I got a Rooster screwed which was almost like a Screwdriver Smoothie. The drinks were amazing and so well priced. The service is excellent. Our waitress was so helpful. The place itself is very cozy and relaxing. There weren't very many people when we came which was a nice change of pace from the crowded streets of Firenze. Absolutely recommend! read more

Unfortunately forgot to picture the food for this terrible review but this restaurant was a bad experience despite good stars. We got seated and watched as all tables around us got helped while we hadn't even been visited once. After around 5 minutes we called someone over. We ordered 4 over easy eggs, toast, a bagel, and orange juice. We received 3 eggs with hard yolks, one made the way we asked. The toast was "sourdough" but had the consistency of a cracker and tasted stale, not like sourdough even. Next, the bagel arrived and was just not good. We received soft practically barely cooked bacon in the sandwich despite "crispy" listed on the menu. The bagel itself was covered immensely in sesame seeds. I enjoy sesame seeds, not to the point where the hole of the bagel is filled by them. Lastly our orange juice was good but included ice, which by the time we received it, was watered down. We ordered a second round without ice, once again received iced orange juice. Furthermore, we watched other people have the same service problems. After refusing to pay for 2 of the eggs that were hard, the staff gave us an attitude. Wasn't trying to be a Karen but it was simply bad food and service. First of all, the atmosphere is absolutely delightful, and it blends a modern industrial feel with some old-world Florence. The food, the main event, was spectacular. I ordered the pici with duck as well as the strüdel with liver. Both were excellent. The flavors of both were quite different, but they complemented each other nicely. I had one of the sangioveses and enjoyed very much. Started with Tuscan antipasto, which had cheese and charcuterie, as well as some pate. It was great and even better on top of their warm foccacia. Next was burrata ravioli with truffles. Such a generous topping of black truffle that was super aromatic. Loved! Lastly, had the tiramisu which was phenomenal. The server was kind enough to bring over some almond biscotti. I was too full to enjoy these, so I took them to go. The food was cold, the chicken wasn't cooked well, and the hamburger seemed to have a frozen patty like McDonald's patties. Rooster Restaurant Firenze must be one of the best restaurants in Florence. Steak is hyped as the local dish all through Florence, especially "Florentine style", which is a big T-bone which is generally unevenly and under-cooked. I remained skeptical about ordering a steak until I ate here. I had a wood-smoked beef tenderloin steak that was absolutely delicious. Of course it was cooked a perfect medium-rare wthout me saying anything. I savored every bite, along with a nice Chianti Classico. We were each given a free sample cocktail and told it was happy hour (6:30-7:30) where you buy 2 same drinks and get one free. The gnocchi were like angel pillows covered with such an amazing pumpkin rosemary sauce. Sauce so good, I wanted a spoon to get every friggin' drop! The risotto was creamy but not over cooked and mushy. The asparagus must have been added right before serving, as they still had a crunch. (Not mushy either) Coriander was lightly sprinkled on top. Fantastic! The steak was cooked on point and perfectly seasoned. The steak was accompanied by lightly whipped cheesy potatoes and a clean salad of greens and tomatoes.
