Our server was so kind and we had a great conversation. The food was very good, especially the French fries and the bread. I ordered the FDR burger which was so huge I had to take some of it home with me. If you have friends or family coming to town for the holidays, you have to bring them here. The line to get in was long, but it went very fast. Once seated the service here is phenomenal. Our server was fantastic and quick on his feet. We got spinach artichoke dip for our appetizer and I was a bit disappointed in it. The appetizer came on a cast iron skillet but the food was on the warmer side and not hot. Everything was wonderful here. I understand why the wait was long during the Christmas time but well worth it. Then, we were able to get a table next to the window fireplace for a cozy brunch. I started with the Mini-Mary, and Jan ordered the Dude Abides, a frozen White Russian. The drinks were fun and flavory. For brunch, I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and thoroughly enjoyed it. The crab cakes are served on top of toasted English muffins and toped with eggs over easy and hollandaise sauce. The combination was very tasty. Have you ever had a version of a dish that made you want to order it every time you went somewhere, and never order it anywhere else?!? Their spinach artichoke dip is EXACTLY that!! I've never had such a fluffy, soft, flavorful one before! And the pita bread that's served with it is so fresh, warm, and pillowy! We went just a few days before Christmas, the decor and atmosphere is gorgeous! We went on a Monday right after they opened, and waited about an hour & 10 minutes-- waiting in line for about 45 minutes and on the waitlist for about 25 minutes. Seating does make a difference, as the indoor seating is much prettier and the lighting is better. The servers and hostess were nice-no complaints. The food was decent although nothing to craze over. Don't trust their reservation system. You either show up and wait 2 hours for a table only to be rushed through your meal with overworked staff, or don't go at all because even if you use OpenTable to book a reservation well in advance they just cancel it within days of the reservation with no attempt to actually make contact. There's parking in the back that will charge you $10 to park just to eat at the restaurant but once you go inside, they validate tickets. So it's probably best that you go inside first and validate your tickets before you pay. The food was great, the spinach dip was the best dip I've ever personally tried!! So good!! I tried the FDR burger, it was good just a normal burger, but wasn't bad at all. I got the french fries with it and they were good as well, I used their house made ranch for my dipping sauce. Don't come here if you are a Celiac. I asked the waiter if anything could be made gluten free and he wasn't sure. I asked if the fries were cooked in a separate fryer and he said he believes so. I wasn't convinced he knew what he was talking about and their menu is not marked so I had the blended White Russian cocktail, called "the dude Abides" for $9. It didn't taste like it had any alcohol in it - and usually one of those makes me feel something as I'm not a big drinker. Maybe it's a mocktail? Ambiance was fine and looks cosy. I like that they have outdoor heaters in the enclosed patio dining room where we were seated. My sister ordered an $18 Hamilton Salad and when it was delivered, the waiter said he found out everything was cooked in a shared fryer. Parking is a little dicey around the holidays on 15th. It might take some time to find a spot. You will want to check in and get your name on the list for a table. We had a group of 6 and they said 45-60 minutes and it ended being 40 minutes so not too bad. Also most of your group needs to be present to get your table. It is so pretty and full of holiday cheer to get you in the mood for Christmas. Once you are seated, it is good to order both drinks and food. The food started coming out quickly, it took a little while longer for drinks to arrive. I do think the crew does a great job with being efficient while providing good service especially given the large crowds that want to visit for the holidays. Our food was good. I really enjoyed the crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer. I appreciate the gluten free bun option for sandwiches as well. For me I'm nearing the bottom of my Tulsa places to try list. Roosevelt's is up. The reason why I have delayed has nothing to do with the restaurant. I am not fond of this stretch of 15th street. There is nothing "Cherry" about it. Too much traffic, too little parking, and too many people. And in my opinion, judging from the many reviews that I have read, only one or two of the restaurants in the area are really stand outs. Roosevelt's stands out. 4.5 on Google with well over 2K reviews. In this episode, I will briefly review a couple of the salads and share some fairly uncommon nude photos of the inside of the restaurant. Nude, meaning pictures of the inside of the restaurant without the famous Christmas decorations. Check the pictures.... My wife had the Southwest Chicken Salad, fair, but not spectacular. It needs a flavor boost. A little more spice would help. Everything in the bowl was fresh. Not an enormous bowl, but a filling amount. The Smoked Salmon Salad for me. Smokey salmon, creamy tangy goat cheese, mild spicy aromatic red onion and crunchy fresh croutons, finished with a slightly sweet white wine vinaigrette dressing. A perfect complement. The main components of this salad (fish, onion and cheese) are a trifecta of aromas that can be appetizing to some or malodorous. My wife can't stand the smell of the goat cheese. I loved the salad, but I was immediately afflicted with toxic halitosis. Bring Tic Tacs, Altoids or a tooth brush if you have plans for the evening. Good service in a relaxing environment. A vast beverage offering with deliciously described food options on the menu. I could see bringing an out-of-town guest here for comfortable dining and drinks. read more

Roosevelt's is know for their Christmas decorations, which are quite extravagant. About every inch of ceiling and wall space is filled with a Christmas ornament. Like many Tulsans this time of year, we went primarily to see the decorations. I read online that Roosevelt's had a happy hour, so we decided to view the decorations during a happy hour. It must have been an old article because like many restaurants, Roosevelt's no longer has a happy hour. Happy Hours are getting hard to find. We sat at the bar, which was elaborately decorated. Even the bar tenders were in costume. They had lively music playing. They gave us a cocktail menu of their signature Christmas cocktails. Since I have a dislike for anything sweet, I passed over that menu and turned my attention to their gigantic beer list. It really was colossal, so much so, I didn't know where to start looking. Dan asked to taste a couple and made his choice. I tasted what he got thinking if I liked it, I would order the same instead of navigating the huge selection. I didn't like it, so I got an old fashioned. Since it was early for dinner, we just had one drink and left, but we will be back to try their lunch and their weekend brunch. I've already decided what I'm ordering for lunch. The fried chicken and Brussel sprouts have gotten rave reviews. I must check that out and see if the reviewers are right. PLEASE READ. We went to Rosevelt's tonight (1/21/25) and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the food. However, as we were winding down our meal, a MOUSE ran across the floor. I couldn't believe my eyes for a second so I kept watching and sure enough, it ran back and forth for several minutes. It was only about 6:30pm and I couldn't believe it was just out and running around! The lady at a table near us literally looked like she was going to stand on her chair! There were only 2 tables seated in our section so not many people but still incredibly disturbing. We told our waitress who said, "well, that's unfortunate." And then told the manager.
