I called Steve earlier this year to get a feel regarding a roof replacement spend that I had slated for Fall 2020. He was honest, up-front and very helpful even though he had no guarantee of securing the work. Months later, July 2019, the winds and heavy rain were no match for the repairs the prior owner had completed on this 18 year old home before selling the property in November 2018. Steve understood the urgency of a triple growth of water damage in my master bathroom ceiling (after a heavy downpour). He expedited the inspection, gave me a call about 15 minutes before his arrival, was thorough, patient, explained my challenges and available solutions and also helped me work through securing HOA approval. His infrared equipment allowed him to pinpoint multiple areas of concern as did the video he took of the attic. The day after the inspection, on a Saturday, he had all the paperwork he promised he'd send, complete with spot on accuracy of matching a neighbor's roofing (down to the make, type/style and color). He also included a satellite confirmation of the roofing material his team would need to complete the project and an updated cost estimate as well as a phone call to ensure I received the paperwork and to answer any questions I had. With anticipated HOA approval timing challenges and the incoming rain, his team added a tarp to the problem areas on my roof - prompt arrival to include letting me know that they were there by ringing the doorbell. Within an hour of signing the paperwork, the scheduling coordinator reached out to schedule the service. I received a call the Friday before my service date (Wed July 31st) confirming the materials would be delivered on Monday, to confirm I had a drive-way and to let me know when I needed to move any vehicles for the roofing material delivery. With rain anticipated starting Wednesday July 31st and continuing for a solid seven days, the coordinator was kind enough to move my service date up a day to Tuesday assuring me that they can handle four roofs similar to mine in a given day. Prompt early morning delivery of the roofing material on Monday complete with ringing my doorbell to confirm that they were good to proceed - all vehicles out of the way. The roofing installation team showed up promptly a bit before 7 am, rang the doorbell to let me know they had arrived and worked diligently to complete the work. My neighbor even complimented the team's efficiency, professional and attention to detail (removing debris from their deck and stairway). The roofing team was kind enough to move potted plants to a safe distance and even attempted to reassemble the pots as they originally were. Late afternoon / early evening the next day Steve called to check in to see how everything went, if I had any questions and to close the transaction out with a payment. I checked lots of reviews from various companies before choosing Roofer911.  Steve came out and provided an estimate for a new Roof, Gutters, and Fascia boards spanning the front and rear of the home.  I wanted the Fascia boards completely replaced with pvc composite.  Unlike other contractors, Roofer911 didn't need or want a large deposit.  Steve said that I would write him a check when I was completely satisfied with the installation. His estimate was very competitive, and I had others that were thousands higher.  Young, the scheduler, was great to work with and extremely professional and responsive.  The roofing team was meticulous in checking and replacing all damaged roof boards, very impressive. They even painted my ugly flu a nice black to go with the Pewter Grey roof.  I did have a couple of questions when the gutter team was on-site, and I contacted Steve.  Steve answered right away and resolved the issue with the team leader immediately.  Steve was on-site for the start of the project and always available by phone. If I could give this company a zero - I would have! We hired these guys to do some work for us last Dec. (2012) Roof was leaking. He came in and declared that he knew what was wrong after he stood in the middle of the floor with his infrared red equipment - ridge problems - contractors did a shoddy job - mind u the house is 8 years old, never had the problem. Fixed the issue he claimed. It took a few months before another hard rain came through and oops, water came in again. Called them back, they came out and claimed perhaps they did not fix the ridge completely - so now their guys are going to take care of it. One month later - another hard rain came through and it leaked again - notice pattern (only when it rains very hard the roof leaks). Called him again to inform him of the recurring issue and let him know the problem was not fixed - this time he did not return my call so I had to call again and this time I got him in person. As usual in his sales man way he declared the roof is no longer under warranty - he does not allow you to talk - rudely interrupts all the time. With persistence, I finally get the chance explain to him that the problem was never fixed because the leaking is only obvious when it rains really hard - he declared it is a new source - really? This guy is just a sales man - trying to get your work. Instead of doing diagnostic work so he can fix the problem, he quickly draws conclusion and may be missing the source of the issue. If it is a unique issue - takes multiple go around to get fixed. So if you have a problem that is very obvious - this may be the business for you. We noticed a leak in the roof of our nursery following a bout of torrential rain. We called Steve at 5:30pm on a Saturday and he was at our house at 10:45am the following day. Amazing! Noticed a small water spot on one of my upstairs ceilings about 6 months ago, didn't really think much about it, so I just painted over it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and another water spot appeared in almost the exact same area. At this point I realized I better get someone to look at it. I called a bunch of roofers to try to get them to come out for estimates. Some were scheduling 2-3 weeks out and some wanted $150+ just for an estimate because I live in a 3 story TH (ground level) so they would need a 40 foot ladder. I ended up purchasing a leak detection with Infrared deal on AL, I was heading out of town for a week on vacation so I was trying to schedule the day I got back. I received an email pretty quickly from Steve saying he would be out to look at the roof on the day I requested. Steve arrived during the stated window and checked the area that had the water spot with his infrared gun, he then proceed to check all the other rooms to make sure that was the only spot of water intrusion. When he was done he went outside and looked around and then sent me a very detailed repair estimate within 15 minutes. He even stated he could have his team out that day. Me doing my due diligence though had a few other estimates already scheduled as well as called a few other places. A few days later we decided to go with Roofer911, we had the possibility of a mini snow storm hitting the Northern VA area on Thursday night so we wanted to get the roof taken care of before then. We had a leek in our skylight and went on the roof to see if we could see anything obvious that we could fix. We weren't able to tell where the water was coming from, so we called Roofer911. Steve and Roofer 911 recently replaced the roof on my mother's townhouse and we are extremely pleased. Everything from start to finish was efficient, seamless, and professional. Steve provided such a quick quote (done over aerial imaging). The entire process was very quick, once proposal was signed, we got scheduled about 2 weeks out. The crew arrived early in the morning and entire roof replacement process was very smooth, took day and a half. I especially liked how the crew ensured the unfinished part of the roof was protected overnight in case the rain comes. They used tarps with materials stacked on top of them over unfinished areas so that tarps stay in place. It did not rain overnight but still it was great preventative measure. TL;DR. We had Roofer 911 perform a complete roof replacement, and we couldn't be happier with the cost (even though Insurance covered it), the speed, the help with homeowners, or the quality. Steve, and the workers, were incredible to work with. Details In January we got "hit" with a round of people telling us everyone in the neighborhood needs a new roof because of hail damage. Of course, I didn't really buy it, and brought in our insurance company and a different roofing company. We did, indeed, need a new roof, and our CertainTeed shingles had a design flaw so that everything needed to be replaced. After a few concerning issues with our roofer, including that they wouldn't send an estimate and instead would "work with insurance", we turned to Roofer 911 for a third opinion. I found them after reading Yelp reviews, and chose them based on the amount of repair work they've done, and that they've been in business for over 40 years. I couldn't have made a better decision. As mentioned, the CertainTeed shingles on our roof had a design flaw, and the reviews online were not very good for the newer models, so I wanted some other options, knowing I would have to get it approved by our homeowners covenance committee. After I emailed the company, Steve replied within the hour, during the weekend, and came by the next day to confirm that we had problems. He also dropped off three sample shingles, two GAF which match the color of our current shingles, but have a longer warranty and better reviews, and one which was our current shingle for comparison. I was able to bring these over for the covenance committee to review and approve the new shingles. I also received a detailed digital contract, listing the cost and amount of each part as well as the cost of labor. Roofer 911 was the only company that did this, and when I asked about it from another company I was told they'd work with insurance, so I had no idea what was actually going into our new roof. We scheduled the replacement for about 5 days later (a Saturday). Friday evening we returned home to see the materials placed and ready to install, and they started around 8 Saturday morning. We had a bunch of workers, and they were done within about 12 hours. I'll say, replacing a roof involves a LOT of banging, so we found ways to leave the house. But we felt incredibly safe with the workers, and they were really focused on getting the job done well. The caps over the ridges cover more than the previous caps did, and the roof in general looks excellent. They cleaned up absolutely everything (which is amazing based on how much mess we saw during the process), and you wouldn't even know they had been there. When they finished the work the head worker came over to make sure I was happy with the work and the cleanup. We haven't had a hard rain yet, but so far everything looks more solid than it had before we got the roof. I'll certainly update if we run into problems. Throughout the process Steve has been incredibly responsive and honest. He's made clear that he wants us to be happy, and is genuinely interesting to talk to. I've already referred Steve to my in-laws who had damage during a recent wind storm I really can't recommend the company enough if you're looking to get your roof replaced. read more

We had some damage to our townhouse roof following the wind storms that came through recently. After debating repair vs. replace, we decided to seek replacement considering the age of the roof and prior damage. We contacted a few different companies with a wide range of estimates, from as low as $5K to as high as $9K. We decided to go with Steve's Roofer911 for several reasons. He did not seem at all shady or dishonest, as some of the others I spoke to did. He was very nice to interact with and seemed to care about the job. He came into my home, used scanners to check for moisture in every upper-level room and made an assessment about what should be done. He did not push for full replacement. We received an estimate in the middle of the range I mentioned above and decided to go with it despite it not being the lowest simply because Steve seemed like a knowledgeable and good guy. The roof installation took all day (0800 - 1900). The crew seemed to be hard-working and professional. We ended up having some minor damage to our outdoor lighting and flower beds. The guys on the roof were really tossing the old shingles all over the place! Have to cut them some slack as being up on the roof all day, especially a high townhouse with a steep grade, is not easy. My only wish is that I had been asked to take down the lighting and attempt to protect the flowers in some way. The cleanup at the end of the day left a little bit to be desired and I had to do some secondary cleaning the next day. In the end though, upon mentioning these small issues to Steve, he was very accommodating and worked with me so that my wife and I ended up 100% satisfied. "Scam" would be the perfect word to describe this company. Steven Briesemeister the owner/manager is the worst of them all. I went to them to replace a plywood rotting on the upper side wall of my house, measurement 2X1X14. I specifically said that I would like to have the rotted wood replace. He agreed with straight face and stated no problem, "I will have that done to your specification". After the work was done I paid $900. I had the work inspected and come to find out the rotted wood was still there because they just covered it up with a new siding. Steven Briesemeister is so full of dung that he actually convinced himself that they did a great job. Great job of swindling people. Word of caution to all living in the northern VA area. The Job: Repair ridge vent on my roof, which was not secured or sealed properly. Summary of my experience with Roofer 911: PROS - So far, the integrity/quality of work looks to be strong. - Steve is incredibly friendly. - Once I was able to get in touch with Steve, he had a crew out the next day to complete the job. CONS - I had some trouble with timely calls back both before and after the job (my advice is to email rather than leave voicemails). - I believe Steve's prices to be high, although admittedly I did not get other estimates. I would advise getting clarity on exactly what is being done to complete your job, including whether materials will be replaced vs. reused. In some cases, that's impossible to know beforehand, but to the extent you can, err on the side of asking for more detail in the estimate so you can have greater comfort in the price of the job matching the resources required. read more

Steve was great to work with start to finish and I highly recommend getting your roof replaced by his company. He came out on very short notice to examine my roof which was damaged by the wind storms earlier this year. He took pictures and by later in the day, was able to send a quote with satellite images for the square footage and pitch. While I did not get other quotes, from my research, what I paid is very fair for the area. The roof replacement consisted of Steve's team putting materials on the roof and lawn the day prior, and took about less than half a day. His team did a great job cleaning up and there was only one nail that was missed on the deck. We had our gutters and a part of the screened deck roofing done by them, and both jobs are phenomenal.
