Very very expensive and overpriced for what you get. Staff is fabulous but the salad was warm, tomato sauce was too sweet, and everything was really expensive. I split the chicken parm and that was a great portion size but overall, not worth it. It's a nice place for a special occasion if you have money. For a casual dinner, I recommend going to the taco place across the street. They did give us a nice complimentary dessert at the end though.

What a lovely classic restaurant in Hoid River. The owner welcomed us as did his wife. We started with a Caprese salad with local heirloom tomatoes to share. The prawns romesco was the star of the show with the roasted peppers shining through. We also ordered the cod Parmesan, Osso bucco, Our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic. And had good recommendations. We are big eaters and we had to take leftovers home. When the owner found out we were celebrating birthdays he gave the birthday boys a dessert each. And we also were comped a glass of champagne to celebrate this special occasion.

The food was delish and the service great. The lasagna is the best we've had that wasn't cooked in moms kitchen.

I'd give Riverside Restaurant a solid 4.5 stars based on our breakfast visit…read more I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were excellent, flavorful, still pleasantly crunchy where they should be, and just a really strong version of the dish. Definitely the standout of the table for me. Service was friendly and expedient, which I always appreciate in the morning when everyone is trying to get caffeinated and out the door. My companions ordered the protein bowl, which was a hearty mix of grains and grilled vegetables with your choice of tofu or egg. It leaned a little bland flavor-wise, but it did exactly what it needed to do: provided a filling, healthy base for a full day of activity in Hood River. Not every dish was a knockout, but overall it was a very solid breakfast spot with fair pricing at about $18 per dish.

One of the members of our group told him that she was told that we could order until 5:00 pm. Server said OK and left. He didn't come back until after 5:00 and took the happy hour menus and said we couldn't order off of that menu. It was pretty much down hill from there on for me. The food was OK nothing to write home about. I had lemonade for dinner it was $6.00 a glass and if you wanted another glass it was 6.00 again. They also included the tip on your bill and it was 22%. The server did not earn that high of a tip.

The man working behind the…read morebar rather than greeting us said "just letting you know I will get to you but it's going to be a LONG while", then gave us 2 menus. Bad start but we decided to go for it (I planned this stop because they had good looking food and cocktails for the non wine drinkers). There were maybe 4 tables occupied, so I was surprised it would take "a long while". One person from my party went directly to the restroom so didn't hear what was said, when he came out he went to the bar and asked if he could order a flight which he received a strict "no it's going to be a long while" Lol I understand being overwhelmed or whatever, we're human, but to have the attitude was unnecessary. We left after a few minutes and spent $400 at another winery down the road. Which by the way was much busier but because they were kind we stuck it out, our server made a good chunk on tips too. Too bad

A great afternoon of lively music with a few local musicians - music across many genres and styles - the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young rendition took me back into the 70"s. What a blast! Fun partying with friends. Very cool that vineyard owners Tess Barr sang (voice like Dixie Chicks Natalie Maines) and husband played a mean maniacal harmonica. They rocked! Have to go back to just get into the wine and spirits more sometime to enjoy the outdoor vine in view of vineyard with a Mount Hood back drop. Hood Crest makes wine, distills whiskey, cooks da pizza and makes music - makes you live-a-little on the wild side when your spirit connects with Hood Crest!

We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!

The atmosphere is casual and inviting but the food, both quality and presentation, steals the show. We tried a gin cocktail that was as beautiful as it was inventive. We followed this with the brussel sprouts salad which was lightly roasted but still tasted and looked green in the most delightful way, with some kind of light dressing that celebrates the vegetables in the salad medley without overpowering them. We took Calvin's recommendation and ordered the special which was a three mushroom fettuccine: it was perfection. The pasta was served al dente, the mushrooms included shitake, hedgehog, and one other and all had a unique flavor that stood out with each bite. The pasta sauce was buttery but somehow almost effervescent, embracing but not suffocating, with just enough cheese to know it's there but not enough to have it overpower the dish. At this point we didn't think the meal could get any better but then we ordered the pear, huckleberry, and pluot sorbet made at Celilo and we're now committed to coming back. The sorbet featured locally sourced Bosc pears and that flavor may have been my favorite as it was unlike any other sorbet I have ever tasted. All were sweet but complex. Simply an amazing dining experience that I recommend to anyone fortunate enough to get a table here!

We had rhubarb ice cream for dessert very tasty but again the rude bartender was only going to give us one scoop to share until he informed us that it was served in a tiny espresso cup so luckily we ordered our own.
