I ordered the fish and chips and it didn't take long to come out. It was fried beautifully, the batter was nice and light and the tartar sauce was delicious. Great service. HH 3-6pm pricing very reasonable. Loved the zucchini...a batter like on really good fish & chips. HH burger not exceptional but cooked well and the waffle cut fries delighted. Vegetarian grilled cheese was best item we had. Grilled fish tacos good flavor but the meat was cold...-1 star. A nice overall experience. I would give it 3.5 starts overall, but since I can't I will bump it up to 4 stars. Beautiful course and our men really enjoyed their day. read more

ABSOLUTE MARGARITA MASTERCLASS!!! After a gorgeous nine holes of sunny late afternoon golf, we stopped into the clubhouse and pulled up to the bar. Sage was at the helm and crafted a margarita that upstaged any other I have had in town. SAGE THE MARGARITA JEDI MASTER!!! I had two of these delicious margarita masterpieces. To cap off the incredible drinks, I ordered the Sesame Crusted Tuna, which was so well prepared and cooked. Compliments to the kitchen staff! The presentation of the seared ahi tuna, the fresh wilted spinach, the bright green grilled asparagus and avocado, atop the sesame rice cake, all finished with a wasabi cream, was over the top. So fresh. So light. SO GOOD! Divots is hands down our favorite place in town for great food, drinks, and atmosphere both indoors and out. Can't wait for our next meal and bevy at Divots! Service really bad. I asked for a house white. Was told it would either be Pinot Gris or rose. I was cool with either. But I was brought a Chardonnay. How I knew other than the taste was I overheard the server ask the bartender about Pinot or rose and heard it was Chardonnay. Then she presented it to me as Pinot Gris. The wait time for food was crazy slow. Menu never changes but that's true with the majority of the restaurants in Hood River. Customers paying high prices for food shouldn't be lied to. read more

Not the best experience tonight. First our waitress was either new or just slow. Second a group of 5 boys kept running in and out of the restaurant. The door kept hitting the window next to me like every 3 minutes from them. Third the food was not the best. We've gotten delicious fish and chips there but tonight they were horrible. More batter than fish and SO greasy. Also ordered fried zucchini and it was zucchini spears fried in thick greasy batter, yuck. Took forever to get refills of our soda and coffee. Lastly, our hostess who seated us was so sweet and polite. She got us our water, also. She has a great smile. I wish I got her name but she rocks as a hostess!!! We went to this restaurant for our grandma's 93rd birthday. We walked in and we were immediately ignored as staff were trying to clean up after a tournament. We had to chase down a staff member and ask her about the table we had reserved to which she replied "I don't know probably that one" and pointed to a table nearby. We sat ourselves and waited for approximately 15 minutes for the server to come and offer drinks. Grandma truly wanted a pina colada, however, the waitress told her that they could not make frozen drinks and did not have any coconut rum to make her something similar. This was no big deal if the rest of the dinner had been amazing which it was not. We then waited another 15 minutes with no menus and had to ask a staff member to please bring us some. 1. Our drinks were never refilled until we physically went to the bar to request them to be filled 2. My daughter's chicken quesadilla had no chicken on it, when we brought it up they brought us a plate of chicken and made us add it ourselves... 3. We ordered two side salads that we never received, we were told not to worry and that they had been removed from the ticket, however, they were not removed and we ended up paying for them 4. My wife did not receive her side of fries with her meal 5. We ordered a shrimp alfredo, and instead of informing us that they were out of shrimp and offering another option, the restaurant took it upon themselves to just substitute chicken and bring it to the table At the end of the meal, we were approached by management and warned to give a warning if we were bringing a cake next time...as if we had violated some rule or something. I understand being busy with the tournament but we were the only table in the restaurant, received terrible service, and paid almost $160 for our meal. We will be sure not to return and will spread the word of this terrible experience as well. read more

They generously give themselves a 25% tip for basic service and mediocre food...without asking. The food has slipped in the past year (undercooked fish and overcooked vegies) but we used to visit at least once a month even through the winter. Last night the food ok but they charged a 25% tip "because of the split check". There are too many other good places in HR to put up with this. read more

Over all had a really solid experience. The atmosphere of the golf course was really pretty. We were greeted right away and they secured us nice outdoor seating almost right away. They had a nice back patio area with heaters so it was very cozy. The menu had a good variety and it was hard to make a choice. As I wasn't super hungry I opted for a bowl of clam chowder. And boy was the portion size HUGE! The flavor and consistency were good, although the potato chunks could have been diced down a little smaller. I was also able to try my friends seafood radiatore and it had great flavor along with large shrimp and crab. Next time I come I will for sure give it a try. The staff was friendly and on top of it and took plates away as needed along with keeping on top of refreshments. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice relaxed dinner. Never dined here, but I called them multiple times to plan a rehearsal dinner for my wedding. I somehow lucked out the first time and was able to talk to Xani, who said she would email me the details that night. I never received an email. In the next couple of months, my planner and I called them again a number of times. Every time, an employer said they would leave Xani a message to contact us, but she never did. We were even told it normally takes her a month to reply. It's now been about 3-4 months and we still haven't heard from her. I guess I should be glad they've been unprofessional from the beginning because I wouldn't want the extra unnecessary stress later of planning this rehearsal dinner with them when they clearly cannot communicate. read more

Divots is one of my favorites in Hood River! And yes, it is a hidden gem and a guarded secret here in town. We would like to keep it that way so us locals can have a secret place all our own to eat, drink, and relax where we can escape the annoying kite boarding and mountain biking bro tourist scene that invades Hood River six months out of the year. Divots is as famous for its awesome happy hour (although recently I think the prices have gone up quite a bit) as it is for its gorgeous views of Mt Hood. We had a spectacular visit to this restaurant. The servers were on top of things and great. The food had flavors, cooked great, and arrived in great time. The beer selection was good and really enjoyed our dining experience. You can sit inside or out. Both give you good views. We would go back unfortunately we were just passing thru the area and this was a Havest Hosts participating Golf Course so we stayed one evening. This place is a hidden gem!! 8 of us randomly bumped into this place when we were spending a half-day off at Hood River area from a summer program in Portland. Everything we ordered from the menu exceeded our expectation!! Even a dish as simple as Mac and Cheese can be so delicious! The Grilled Tenderloin Steak with Cherry and Wine Sauce that I ordered was surprisingly amazing . Cherry and wine balances perfectly with the strong "meaty" taste of grilled tenderloin steak. Oh and the steak was also perfectly grilled, so juicy! Cooked arugula had a little bit of bitter taste. It worked fine for me when it blended to the sweeter taste of cherry and wine. Roquefort.cheese gave the plate an interesting twist, too. I also loved Divots Fries a lot! Ideal for finger food, couldn't stop eating it. We had lots of dramas during the meal...such as fly dived into glass of wine, cheese dipping dropped into glass of martini...and so on...the waitress was very nice and did whatever she could. It was an amazing dining experience. And Divots has great views! If I visit Oregon next time, I will definitely dine at Divots again. read more

When we were finally seated, our drink order was slow and when we said we were ready we were told to wait the waitress had several orders to put in. Another 10 minutes of waiting to be able to order food. This is not the way to treat customers and not a disabled veteran! read more

My husband & I got married and had our reception at Divots. Everything from the start, working with the restaurant manager, Xani, through the reception on their patio was top-notch! The food was fabulous. The staff was lovely. Ms. Xani was a dream organizer. And the patio ended up being the best solution for the size of our party (42 guests). Normally very good food. This is the first time dinning in since covid restrictions lifted. Got there in time for happy hour. Restaurant not overly busy. Looked like had plenty on staff. Started off with a Paloma from the bar, pretty tasty! Ordered the fish tacos. Came stone cold, like straight out of the fridge. Husband got turkey sandwich with cold fries, came with no cheese, no lettuce, but had gobs of mayo and two fat slices of tomatoes. The couple we were with never did receive part of their dinner. Waitress was not friendly. Never checked on us after receiving our food. Very very disappointed! This used to be one of our faves! read more

We are in Hood River once a year. My daughter and son-in-law always take us to Divots several times during our visit. We have never been disappointed with any meal we ordered. The last dinner this last visit was on Prime rib night. The ample cut of beef was perfectly prepared (rare+) and well seasoned. When we return in 2023, visits to Divots are expected. read more

Have had mostly good experiences with the happy hour and one not so good which they remedied. Love the view of Mt Hood on clear days. The service here is awful. Don't go here. We waited for almost an hour for our food. The waitress didn't know anything about the wine and when asked she acted irritated to have to go find out about it. The "French Chicken" is anything but French. The carrots are baby carrots from a bag. It was not a chicken breast and there was no flavor. The Creek salad had stale bacon bits and it was so salty it was inedible. The waitress asked us if everything was okay when it was time to pay and when I t her about the food she came back and said they gave us half off our entrees which we hardly could eat. read more
