Great view if the weather is nice. Food was good, but the Cajun pasta was extremely oily and the dish needed salt (very under seasoned). Service was pretty slow and inattentive, but that's kind of how it is in Hood River. I liked my stuffed sole a lot.

We stopped in after hiking around to see the wildflowers. This please was very good. We tried the spinach artichoke dip and it was excellent. We also got the ravioli, burger, fish and chips, and salmon; all were excellent. We sat outside because the weather was wonderful and it was a relaxing experience. The service was pretty good, the waitress refilling our water was very attentive, which was much appreciated. The food was good, a lot of it seeming to be mad from scratch, and we had a very pleasant dinning experience overall!

We came for dinner and it was awesome. The homemade bread was warm and delicious. We both had the Caesar salad the fresh parmigiana cheese flakes were a nice touch. I got the crab stuffed sole . It was very flavorful and the fresh squash and broccoli was cooked to perfection. My wife had the beef medallions and veggies with mushroom gravy was to die for. Jerry our server was great very knowledgeable of the menu. The view is incredible from the dinning room. Well worth coming in for dinner

Fine dining in a simple, elegant setting, with very good service. The Blackened Salmon Caesar is fresh caught King Salmon, done to perfection. Try the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake, it is excellent. The wine list is moderate in length, and diverse.

My family ate at 3 River's Grill two days in a row!! We had the best time. The views are amazing inside and from the patio. We sat inside for dinner and outside on the patio for lunch the next day. I loved my steak, the avocado and cucumber salad shinned just as bright, if that is even possible. The table ordered the calamari. It was cooked nicely. The Burrata appetizer was a favorite as well. We liked the spinach and artichoke dip, was very nice. They have a great wine selection. I ordered the Thai salad for lunch. This was by far my favorite thing. It's just like a deconstructed spring roll, with rice noodles and peanut dressing. I will think about that salad !!! The servers and staff were very sweet and accommodating to our large party. I would recommend 3 River's Grill to anyone.

I'm compelled to write this review having just enjoyed the most relaxing and delicious lunch with my daughters and grandkids. First of all, the location; it sits high on a hill with many charming shaded patio tables. Inside is also another option with elegant dining tables with amazing views. We sat on the spacious patio in the back since it was pleasant in the shade of the large trees. The staff were warm and welcoming and our server was attentive and quick, (and a dead ringer for a young Greg Kinnear). He suggested the special which was a salad that consisted of arugula, fresh sliced nectarines and strawberries, pecans, poached shrimp, topped with burrata cheese and aged balsamic vinaigrette. Sold! Our group also ordered shrimp tacos, and Caesar salad topped with blackened salmon. Everything was delicious! They also accommodated my one year old granddaughter with some macaroni and cheese and steamed mixed vegetables! We all left completely satisfied and relaxed. Very memorable place to enjoy a meal, we look forward to visiting again!

I had the crab stuffed soul and my wife had the pasta. Everything was beautifully prepared and fantastic flavors. The carrots were nice and tender the vegetables were cooked but not mushy and the soul was just amazing. They use real crab. I would come back to this every night if I could. Highly highly recommend... The service was fantastic to get very attentive and very easy going..

I didn't have a reservation but the amazing smell from the street drew me in. Amazing views, great and quick service and amazing food! I had the mushroom ravioli with shrimp and it was decadent. Highly recommend!

Strip Steak with Crab and Shrimp over Mashed Potatoes

3 Rivers Grill in Hood River has been a favorite of ours for about 15 years. It's upscale without being snooty, and the food is always good. We were there in early June as an early summer downpour let up long enough for us to get to the front door. On this occasion, we started with the shrimp cocktail. It came served in a cocktail glass for a nice touch. The shrimp was perfectly done and the cocktail sauce, while being light on horseradish, had something spicy going on to give it some zing, so it did not suffer from the omission. The entrée was the day's special: strip steak with crab and shrimp. It was enough to split between two people. Everything was piled up on mashed potatoes, with the crab sprinkles generously over top. The sauce was delicious, but cold. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be that way, but it didn't matter much. The steak was a perfect medium rare. Everything played well together. There is a reason we keep going back. The food is always excellent, and the staff is friendly. You can also see Mt. Adams from the deck.

Their beer flights come with 6 pours each and it's served in a tall sail (or sharkfin?) shaped tower, each choice is labeled so you know what you're drinking. Their burger with bacon tomato jam was a 10/10! So much flavor and the bun was fresh and lightly buttered and toasted (this really takes it up a notch!). The meat was very tender and lots of flavor (tasted high quality). It's served with a heaping order of fries (or you can upcharge it for $2 and do salad, soup or sweet potato fries). Their chicken wings were tender and came off the bones easily while still having crispy edges. Perfection. Service was prompt, and the restaurant atmosphere is very pleasant. It's kind of funny because you'll have people in suits having a business meeting over dinner, and other regular hotel guests just dining casually in t-shirts and jeans. On both occasions, I was dining with another family member. When we were there for dinner, we were having a really hard time deciding what to order, and our server let us know that there was a 2-for deal going on for some of the pastas. Each of us had been considering a pasta, so that solved that problem! Both were delicious, and we had leftovers to take home. When we were there for breakfast, I was feeling adventurous and ordered the lox and bagel, which I've only had a very basic version of one other time. It was soooo good, and very filling. Several other options on the breakfast menu also sounded really good, but I'm glad I went with this for the experience. I'd definitely eat here again if/when I stay in the hotel again. Since there's no free breakfast offered by the hotel, they give you vouchers for the restaurant, so you can get a pretty good deal on a meal.

Definitely the standout of the table for me. Service was friendly and expedient, which I always appreciate in the morning when everyone is trying to get caffeinated and out the door. My companions ordered the protein bowl, which was a hearty mix of grains and grilled vegetables with your choice of tofu or egg. It leaned a little bland flavor-wise, but it did exactly what it needed to do: provided a filling, healthy base for a full day of activity in Hood River. Not every dish was a knockout, but overall it was a very solid breakfast spot with fair pricing at about $18 per dish.

This is one of our go-to spots on Hood River. We've been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and…read moresomehow they manage to nail it every single time. Today's mission? Split the St. Helens Burger, an order of fries, and a side salad with the recommended goat cheese (trust them--it was the right call). The burger was everything you want it to be. A fresh poppy seed bun, a perfectly cooked patty, sweet caramelized onions... and then came the poblano pepper. That little bit of smoky heat tied the whole thing together. Now let's talk about the fries because they deserve their own paragraph. These are, without question, my favorite fries. They arrived hot, crispy, perfectly golden, and had that satisfying crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one. If you're a fry person, these alone are worth the visit. The side salad was fresh and flavorful, and the creamy goat cheese took it from "just a side salad" to something I'd happily order again. It was the perfect balance to all those delicious fries. If you're looking for a place that consistently delivers great food in a welcoming atmosphere, Kickstand Coffee should absolutely be on your list. We've yet to have a bad meal here, and it's one of those places we recommend without hesitation to friends, family, and anyone who asks where to eat. I now wish I didn't let my husband eat more of the fries. Gotta head back up there soon! Everyone else is already finishing up their drinks and meals. Wanting just one drink after a long day, I head to the bar! My wife asks me to get her one too. Here's where it gets bizarre. Kickstand has a bar...well, it looks like a bar. But what I found out is that it's just for looks because it doesn't act like a bar. I thought ordering two cocktails and paying for my drinks would be easy, like it is at every bar in town. But the bartender, I mean employee standing behind a bar, asked if I was with the large group. I stated, "yes, I was." Then she proceeded to tell me that the drinks would be on someone's tab. But I showed up late...I don't know what's happening. I don't know who's paying for the "tab". I just wanted to buy two drinks and walk away. But that wasn't allowed at Kickstand. Then another employee walks up and attempts to take my drink order. Super confused, I tell her the employee standing behind the bar just took my drink order. And then we proceeded down the tab conversation again. The second employee said because "we" were a party of 8 or more, I couldn't pay for my own drinks and I they would have to put it on the party's tab. But again, I don't know who owns the tab. If it was the woman having the birthday, I didn't want to add to her bill...on her birthday. Then they suggested I "could just Venmo" the party girl. No! I want to just order two drinks and have Kickstand take my money. Why wouldn't they just take my money?! The place was dead tonight, other than the 5 or so small daycarel families, sitting at their own tables, that made up the "party". I canceled my drink order and walked away out of protest and principal. When asked if I was with the big party, I should have said no I guess. Lesson leaned for next time, if there is a next time. Kickstand, you're so difficult and frustrating!!

The atmosphere is casual and inviting but the food, both quality and presentation, steals the show. We tried a gin cocktail that was as beautiful as it was inventive. We followed this with the brussel sprouts salad which was lightly roasted but still tasted and looked green in the most delightful way, with some kind of light dressing that celebrates the vegetables in the salad medley without overpowering them. We took Calvin's recommendation and ordered the special which was a three mushroom fettuccine: it was perfection. The pasta was served al dente, the mushrooms included shitake, hedgehog, and one other and all had a unique flavor that stood out with each bite. The pasta sauce was buttery but somehow almost effervescent, embracing but not suffocating, with just enough cheese to know it's there but not enough to have it overpower the dish. At this point we didn't think the meal could get any better but then we ordered the pear, huckleberry, and pluot sorbet made at Celilo and we're now committed to coming back. The sorbet featured locally sourced Bosc pears and that flavor may have been my favorite as it was unlike any other sorbet I have ever tasted. All were sweet but complex.
