    Great IPA
    Stephen D.

Been wanting to come to this brewery for quite some time. I've really enjoyed their beers throughout the years and now I've been able to go to the source! Had the IPA and it was really good. Loved the deck out back on a nice sunny day. Service was friendly and attentive

Looking for a lunch place as we are from out of town and picked this one because of the "cerveza" Mac n Cheese listed on their menu. Parking is paid street parking but we got a good one as the place was just opening and open parking up front by their building. Patio or in door options but choose inside and had a great table as the view of the river. Our waitress was very friendly and quick with our service. I had a natural Shirley temple that was extremely tasty & my husband had their purple haze. We split an order of breadsticks (one of the best I have had) w/cup of beer cheese (it was good but a little too hoppy) & the Mac n Cheese of course (with bacon). One of the best Mac n Cheeses I have ever had as well. Highly recommend this place!

Looking around at menus and saw the salmon fish and chips. Seemed like an interesting take on fish and chips so wanted to try it. It worked really well. I enjoyed it and would try again for sure.

A large variety of home brewed beers and cocktails. We tried both the beer flight and the 4-cocktail flight. The beer flight is more of a "choose your own adventure" as they have many to offer. The restaurant itself is nice with both I door and outdoor seating, both with nice views of the river. Service was quick, but they can get a bit busy.

Came for Sunday night happy hour ($1 off pints of beer and heavily discounted apps) and was very impressed with the food, beer, and service! Got the beer cheese soup with pretzel dippers, mini beer truffle mac and cheese, waffle sweet potato fries, Japanese Rice lager, and Indian red ale. The food was absolutely delicious (personal favorite was the truffle mac) and the beer was fantastic. They have a really interesting selection of styles, many of which you can purchase to go at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back!

If you are in Hoodriver, you should definitely check out this brewery, it's a must. This place is a staple for us, and every visit it just keeps getting better. The beer selection is amazing, we always opt for the Japanese Lager, which is a light and refreshing beer. The food is the reason why we keep coming back though. The salmon fish and chips, is to die for. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and rich a flavorful on the inside. The staff thought is super nice, not overly pushy but very attentive. If you enjoy and view and a brew I would recommend this place!

    Beer Cheese Soup

I stopped in here after a hike for a beer and a snack. I wasn't disappointed. We sat on their large outdoor patio that overlooks the water. It was beautiful especially since the weather was nice. Service was attentive and friendly. They have a good selection of beer. I only had one but I enjoyed it. The Accidental Art juicy IPA was fruity and refreshing. I'd definitely drink it again. The Hummus plate was recommended and came with house made hummus, olives, Artichokes, cucumber, carrots, sweet drop peppers, feta, and pita. Everything was fresh. We split it between three people and there was plenty. We also ordered the pretzel bread sticks with a side of the beer cheese soup. The pretzel was good but the beer cheese soup stole the show for me. I definitely recommend it!

    Flight of samples

Went here to try a flight of beers. We also got 2 cups of the beer cheese soup which was awesome. They serve the flight and a sailboat replica which was very neat we tried the Sassan. The premium Sassan logger, the blood orange ale, The Amber, the nut brown, and the spin not Ale. All were exceptional varieties of their class of styles. The true stand out for me was the 2017 bourbon Imperial porter .The bourbon overtones and creamy finish was perfect. It wasn't bitter . Just awesome. Our server Ryan offered us a bottle of the 2017 to take home with us. I can't wait to share this with my friends. The view of our table was of the gorge and city of Hood River. This craft brewery is well worth the time and price.

A FULL SAIL of fine brews!

2nd time here. Brewery hopping with my mom and niece. Star recommended 6 fine brews for my flight. Zoom in to read what I had, if you please so I don't have to try to write it out after drinking all of them. My favorite was the 2017 Top Sail Bourbon Porter. Very tasty and reminds me of licorice. The food is always great and I do recommend the Salmon fish-n-chips. I also had several bites of Mom's Reuben sandwich. The marbled rye is great. Not very pungent, but perfectly pairs with the sauerkraut and dressing. Sláinte!

The food was excellent. I had the open face tuna and it was so good. The bread was crisp and fit the sandwich amazingly. We had two flights. The porter flight they're offering right now is so good. Next time I'm in Hood River I'll absolutely be back.

I ordered a Korean fried chicken sandwich and it could be that I just finished a massive hike and was starving but this sandwich was sooo good, highly recommend. Also their fries A+ , crispiness ‍

Upon arrival we saw a few different beers we wanted to try. Luckily quite a few of them were in cans which we took home but we had a beer there at the taproom also to absorb and relax at the taproom location. An adorable cat that more than likely lived there or put in a hard working shift of charming customers was present and we made over the kitty and pet it when it came to see us. Such a lovely cat! But onto the beer now! For the beer that we had at the taproom we had the Rice and Shine Japanese Lager. This was a pretty solid lager and one of my favorite types of lagers. I do love a lager that involves rice. Perhaps not the best ever that I have come across but still quite good. The flavor profile of this beer has a clean, crisp and refreshing aspects to it along with a biscuity flavor. The rest of the beers we had went home with us in cans. One beer was the River Pillow. This was a Pale Ale and had a nice, soft feel to it. The hop presence wasn't too overwhelming. We had another Pale Ale also. This one was called the Shredipede. This beer has a clean, crisp and citrusy presence to it. It is bright in hue and is nice and crushable which means you can have more than one with ease. Moving on from that was another kind of lager. This one was a Mexican Lager. The name of this one was the Pinche Chela. Mexican Lagers are another favorite lager of mine if not my #1 favorite for this beer type. This beer has a nice corn taste which provides a natural sweetness and the beer is nice and crisp. Again... perhaps not my most favorite version that I have had but enjoyable all the same. After that we went to darker beer territory and had a dry Irish Stout. I love these kinds of stouts because of that dryness aspect at work. Other flavor features in this are roastiness, oatmeal and the feel of it is smooth, creamy and soft. An excellent stout. This was a good stop and I am glad this brewery finally got tried out.

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!
