Service was a smidge slow just because we were there at peak dinner time (it's also kind of a small space and thus was a little crowded), but it wasn't too bad. The food was delicious; each of us ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their meal. I got the salmon fish and chips, and it was SO good. I'm so used to fish and chips being made with cod or other white fish, so this was a fun change. Despite being a pub, this place is family-friendly. The kid's menu was perfect for my little nephew, and my sister was very pleased with the quality of his burger meat and the fact that you can sub fries for veggie sticks for kiddos. After picking cherries in the neighborhood, my husband and I decided to stop here for a quick meal before heading back to our home. My husband has been here before but it was my first time. I was craving a burger and this place does not disappoint. The burger patty was thick and juicy and cooked to perfection. The cheddar cheese and bacon on the burger made it next level. My husband really enjoyed his burger and beer as well. When we arrived, there was indoor and outdoor seating available. We decided to sit inside, please be aware that it might be a bit cold depending where the air vent is located in conjunction to where you're sitting. The service was okay. Came here as a direct result of a recommendation by a fellow Yelper when looking for good brewpubs. So made a stop in Hood River for lunch during our 3 day trip to Portland, after seeing some waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge. Full Sail is a very well respected micro brewery, founded in 1987 and the first craft brewery in the Pacific Northwest to bottle its beer. It's flagship Amber has won numerous awards, including recently in 2025 a Gold Medal at the NY International Beer Competition (along with the brewery being named Oregon Brewery of the Year). It has a large line-up of beers brewed inhouse There is a large paid parking lot across the street at $1.25 per hour, payable via credit card through nearby kiosks. Once entering, there is a long hallway, walking past the working areas of the brewery, until getting to the restaurant area. It has views of I-84, and further the Columbia River. The outdoor patio was not open (drizzling outside), and it was pretty crowded inside but we got lucky to be seated at a table near windows with a view. There have lunch and happy hour specials during weekdays. The lunch special is 1/2 of a sandwich (grilled cheese this day) along with a cup of their soup of the day (tomato). I was super excited about the Amber, so got a pint of that ($8) and pint of the Queen Wheat ($8). My wife enjoyed the Queen Wheat but didn't care for the Amber. I really liked the Amber, making me realize why I had drunk so much of that style earlier in my life when in Wisconsin, before switching over to wheat beer. There selection of beer is great, and a flight is the way to go ($18 of 6 5oz samplers). Buffalo Hot Wings ($17) - a decent amount of simply deep fried hot wings in a classic Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread Sticks ($13) - 4 large, warmed pretzels. Should have gotten the beer cheese to go with it. Salmon Fish & Chips ($20) - 3 small pieces of beer battered salmon, very dense and definitely tasting of wild caught salmon. It came with good fries and a really good, fresh cole slaw. There is a small refrigerator stocked with cans of certain beers for sale. Unfortunately, we were dismissively told that they were out of the Amber bottles for sale. So after our meal, went to the front to purchase directly from the front staff. Their Japanese rice beer from their Session lineup ($10 for a six pack) was available and what we brought back home with us. read more

Looking for a lunch place as we are from out of town and picked this one because of the "cerveza" Mac n Cheese listed on their menu. Parking is paid street parking but we got a good one as the place was just opening and open parking up front by their building. Patio or in door options but choose inside and had a great table as the view of the river. Our waitress was very friendly and quick with our service. I had a natural Shirley temple that was extremely tasty & my husband had their purple haze. We split an order of breadsticks (one of the best I have had) w/cup of beer cheese (it was good but a little too hoppy) & the Mac n Cheese of course (with bacon). Full Sail has great service, epic views, and a chill atmosphere in the Gorge. I love to sit outside on the elevated deck; the inside has a darker, air-conditioned "theme" if thats ur thing. The root beer float is awesome. You can get beer flights or draft pours made right next door. The fries are crispy-tasty. I would not personally order the Cajan salmon sandwich again (not a ton going on there), but I am still giving FSB 5 stars because the vibes are so on. They also have great merch. A large variety of home brewed beers and cocktails. We tried both the beer flight and the 4-cocktail flight. The beer flight is more of a "choose your own adventure" as they have many to offer. The beer selection is amazing, we always opt for the Japanese Lager, which is a light and refreshing beer. The food is the reason why we keep coming back though. I stopped in here after a hike for a beer and a snack. I wasn't disappointed. We sat on their large outdoor patio that overlooks the water. It was beautiful especially since the weather was nice. Service was attentive and friendly. They have a good selection of beer. I only had one but I enjoyed it. The Accidental Art juicy IPA was fruity and refreshing. I'd definitely drink it again. The Hummus plate was recommended and came with house made hummus, olives, Artichokes, cucumber, carrots, sweet drop peppers, feta, and pita. Everything was fresh. We split it between three people and there was plenty. We also ordered the pretzel bread sticks with a side of the beer cheese soup. Went here to try a flight of beers. We also got 2 cups of the beer cheese soup which was awesome. They serve the flight and a sailboat replica which was very neat we tried the Sassan. The premium Sassan logger, the blood orange ale, The Amber, the nut brown, and the spin not Ale. All were exceptional varieties of their class of styles. The true stand out for me was the 2017 bourbon Imperial porter .The bourbon overtones and creamy finish was perfect. It wasn't bitter . Just awesome. Our server Ryan offered us a bottle of the 2017 to take home with us. I can't wait to share this with my friends. The view of our table was of the gorge and city of Hood River. Zoom in to read what I had, if you please so I don't have to try to write it out after drinking all of them. My favorite was the 2017 Top Sail Bourbon Porter. Very tasty and reminds me of licorice. The food is always great and I do recommend the Salmon fish-n-chips. I also had several bites of Mom's Reuben sandwich. The marbled rye is great. So thankful to have restaurants like this that are gluten free aware and have a gluten free fryer. Fries are a rarity for a celiac. Thank you! I would try the Full Sail burger with bacon as it is wasn't super flavorful without. The bummer, loss of a star, was because I felt like I had to beg for a second drink, more ketchup and water for my son. We asked for a dessert menu and we were brought the check. Yikes. Was traveling through town and we were ready and hungry for lunch. This is a great place, right on the waterfront. There are a lot of breweries close by - about 4 in walking distance of each other. Chose Full Sail and glad we did. Ordered the Havarti burger as I love Havarti cheese and because it comes with fried pickles. Its cooked medium and comes out perfect, it's juicy, messy and delicious, just like a burger should. The fries are tasty and they are very generous (enough to share!). Also ordered the spinach salad with salmon and it was so fresh tasting - the spinach was bright and tasty, the strawberries still ripe and sweet. This is also a very generous hearty salad. Ordered both the cocktail and beer flights. The cocktail is made from their spirited sugar brew and are all light and refreshing. It's 3 5oz pours. The beer flight is 6 5 oz pours and you can select any 6 from their full menu. The service is friendly and on point. The place gets crowded with what looks like locals as well as tourist. Very disappointed in our last visit. We drive from Portland to Hood River just for their salmon fish and chips. The pieces are much smaller than they used to be but still good. The service from our waitress was not great. She spent more time in the back than attending to her three tables. I ordered a second IPA and was poured an amber but told I was wrong. Here's the kicker! I left my expensive sunglasses behind and realized it before I left the front door. I went back to retrieve them and an employee was saying "look what they left!" They had already tried them on and stretched them out! They could have chased us down as we were still in the hallway but chose to take them instead. It's too bad shady employees can ruin a customer's experience. read more

This was my second visit to Full Sail. My first visit was about 4 years ago. The brewery has an awesome location in Hood River. You can see the river from inside the pub or if you're seated outside. We were seated inside immediately upon arriving. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We tried the full sail burger, the house salad, and the kids mac n cheese. The Full Sail Burger comes with smoked Gouda cheese, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and chipotle aioli. The burger was juicy and slightly had a slightly charbroiled flavor. The combination of flavors was amazing. I loved the chipotle aioli and used it to dip my fries in. The burger is large and can be split between two people, which is what we did. I would definitely get this burger again. The fries were also good. The house salad was fresh and the Italian vinaigrette was light and refreshing. The kid's mac n cheese was excellent. It was rich and creamy. It is a big portion too. Full Sail has a variety of beers on tap and you can order a flight. It comes in a cool sail boat holder. Day trip to Hood River to wine taste and have lunch at a favorite spot. Have always loved the salmon fish and chips. Usually get at least four good size pieces of salmon. Today received three small pieces of salmon; less than half inch thick with a very greasy dark brown coating. Broke a piece in half and noticed that half the fish was brown. The fish was definitely over cooked and am not sure why my pink salmon was brown. Unfortunately had to send it back because it just didn't taste good. I wish the person serving my food would've let the cook know the food looked greasy and overcooked. The cook should've never let this food leave the kitchen. It's embarrassing to have to send food back. My server was pleasant and the corn chowder I ordered next was really good. However, I visit this pub for the salmon and chips. What a great way to kick off our trip to Bend! We stopped in for lunch after our adventures at the Mt. Hood Railroad.
