So Chips is a unique place most travelers will just drive right through Bingen and most wouldn't give Chips a second thought - That is their mistake - inexpensive, ok cheap, good beer and the best Brisket sandwich I have had in a long while. Stop by and try it! And have a Rainier Beer while You are at it. All these Craft beers but sometime you just need a BEER!

Had an awesome meal at Chips. We were looking for a local hangout near Hood River after a long day. I was happy to see the place was dressed up for Hollows Eve. Diane was awesome! On Thanksgiving she has a FREE Turkey Dinner. I absolutely love this. Thank you Diane! Your place was awesome! My husband loved the phone calls from your dad!!!

Had to make a pit stop for bathroom and decided to eat and have some drinks. The decor on the walls is fun to look at and includes old historic papers and pictures of people. The barmaid was extremely friendly and even gave us a sample of the delicious brisket as we waited for our burger and fries Order. Great atmosphere, will definitely be back again! Worth the stop in downtown Bingen.

Good brisket or cornbeef sandwiches. The place is best place to eat in town along with its sister restaurant across the street.

There was a nicotine pouch in my beer. Not recommended, I've never had a headache quite like that.

Phenomenal food! The brisket sandwich had a perfectly toasted and dressed bun and brisket to die for. Great bar!

Not a big deal at all, but a simple sign to indicate that would be helpful. That being said, our server was very attentive and friendly the entire time. We ordered a variety of burgers, including a the Impossible Burger as I'm a vegetarian. It was great to see a vegetarian option on the menu as you never know in smaller towns. The food was well received, with the brisket and smoked mac n cheese being the major highlights. My family could not stop raving about how tender and flavorful the brisket was. My Impossible Burger was really good and although I try to avoid the processed meat alternatives, it was a good cheat meal. They have a few TVs inside, included a big screen TV that was playing the Sunday Night Football game. This would be a great spot to watch a sports game while grabbing a bite to eat or a beer/cider. The price point was reasonable as well. Definitely a spot to checkout if you are in the area.

Service was prompt, and the restaurant atmosphere is very pleasant. It's kind of funny because you'll have people in suits having a business meeting over dinner, and other regular hotel guests just dining casually in t-shirts and jeans. On both occasions, I was dining with another family member. When we were there for dinner, we were having a really hard time deciding what to order, and our server let us know that there was a 2-for deal going on for some of the pastas. Each of us had been considering a pasta, so that solved that problem! Both were delicious, and we had leftovers to take home. When we were there for breakfast, I was feeling adventurous and ordered the lox and bagel, which I've only had a very basic version of one other time. It was soooo good, and very filling. Several other options on the breakfast menu also sounded really good, but I'm glad I went with this for the experience. I'd definitely eat here again if/when I stay in the hotel again. Since there's no free breakfast offered by the hotel, they give you vouchers for the restaurant, so you can get a pretty good deal on a meal.

Definitely got the small town diner feel here, and everything on the menu sounded so good! They also have a specials board inside so make sure to take a look before you make your decision. I finally decided on the south of the border omelette, which also comes with hash browns or potatoes or fruit, and a biscuit or muffin or toast. Such a satisfying and filling meal! The omelette itself was not short on ingredients at all, and I loved the cilantro. The menu did mention homemade salsa but I didn't see any of that on the side or inside. Other than that, the eggs were cooked nicely. I picked the chorizo biscuit on the side and it was so soft and fluffy inside! I also appreciated the amount of options on the kids menu. There was plenty more options than just your standard pancake, bacon, and eggs. Our kids loved the pigs in a blanket which was actually quite big and perfect for our two kids to split. Service was awesome, our server was so kind and even brought out our friend's son's maple bar with a candle because he mentioned it was his birthday. She did it without us even asking which was so sweet! The food came out so quickly too despite the entire restaurant being full. Great experience here at Bette's!

The food was delicious; each of us ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their meal. I got the salmon fish and chips, and it was SO good. I'm so used to fish and chips being made with cod or other white fish, so this was a fun change. Despite being a pub, this place is family-friendly. The kid's menu was perfect for my little nephew, and my sister was very pleased with the quality of his burger meat and the fact that you can sub fries for veggie sticks for kiddos. Full Sail is a very well respected micro brewery, founded in 1987 and the first craft brewery in the Pacific Northwest to bottle its beer. It's flagship Amber has won numerous awards, including recently in 2025 a Gold Medal at the NY International Beer Competition (along with the brewery being named Oregon Brewery of the Year). It has a large line-up of beers brewed inhouse There is a large paid parking lot across the street at $1.25 per hour, payable via credit card through nearby kiosks. Once entering, there is a long hallway, walking past the working areas of the brewery, until getting to the restaurant area. It has views of I-84, and further the Columbia River. The outdoor patio was not open (drizzling outside), and it was pretty crowded inside but we got lucky to be seated at a table near windows with a view. There have lunch and happy hour specials during weekdays. The lunch special is 1/2 of a sandwich (grilled cheese this day) along with a cup of their soup of the day (tomato). I was super excited about the Amber, so got a pint of that ($8) and pint of the Queen Wheat ($8). My wife enjoyed the Queen Wheat but didn't care for the Amber. I really liked the Amber, making me realize why I had drunk so much of that style earlier in my life when in Wisconsin, before switching over to wheat beer. There selection of beer is great, and a flight is the way to go ($18 of 6 5oz samplers). Buffalo Hot Wings ($17) - a decent amount of simply deep fried hot wings in a classic Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread Sticks ($13) - 4 large, warmed pretzels. Should have gotten the beer cheese to go with it. Salmon Fish & Chips ($20) - 3 small pieces of beer battered salmon, very dense and definitely tasting of wild caught salmon. It came with good fries and a really good, fresh cole slaw. There is a small refrigerator stocked with cans of certain beers for sale. Unfortunately, we were dismissively told that they were out of the Amber bottles for sale. So after our meal, went to the front to purchase directly from the front staff. Their Japanese rice beer from their Session lineup ($10 for a six pack) was available and what we brought back home with us.
