    Dog friendly patio. @arlodoespdx approves!
    Sandra M.

I can't review the beer because I ordered a bottled kombucha (dry January), but the food is quality and the service is friendly. I ordered the Korean bbq wings and veggie pizza. My food came out pretty quickly and both dishes were very tasty. Extra bonus is that this place is dog-friendly, even in the winter! There's a covered patio with heaters. It's still chilly, but it's nice the have the option.

Stopped in for lunch since we were in the area and had our dog. Once we found a table it took some time to get menus. Had to go in and get some. There is a large outside area with tables as well as a side area with picnic tables. We ordered a couple of beers along with a Cuban Sandwich and fries. It took some time to get our food. The beers were good and the sandwich was filling but the pork was a little dry. Needed a few more pickles also. The fries were cooked perfectly.

This place is perfect after a session at Stevenson. It can easily accommodate larger parties. We sat outdoors where they welcome your pets with water and dog treats. We ordered at the window and found us a nice table on the shade. I ordered a gluten free combo pizza, it was fantastic! The crust was cooked perfectly and the toppings were tasty. As far a price goes it was fairly reasonable. There is plenty of parking all around the building. Yes, you should eat here!

Nashville hot wings. Not your typical Nashville chili oil style but still the best flavor I tried.

I was in town for the weeklong paddling festival that is the Gorge Downwind Championships in Skamania. On day 2 I visited Walking Man after googling "wings" and seeing good reviews about theirs. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the wings so much I came back 4 different times with an ever expanding group of friends. The friends let me try all different kinds including: classic hot, Korean BBQ, Nashville hot, and cherry stout. The Nashville hot were by far my favorite with a good heat on them compared to the others. The cherry stout were the most unique with a touch of earth sweetness. I also tried the veggie pizza which had a great crust and fresh touch of roasted garlic. Oh, and the Cajun fries are worth the upgrade! The best part of the place is how good it was for groups. You order at a window and are given a pager which tells the server what table you're at after you scan the table number. No split checks, no getting short changed via Venmo, no mess. The service was overwhelmed a couple times because there are a TON of people in town for the event but they were kind and apologized the one night it went slow. It felt like everyone was at the bar that night.

This is what they consider a Cuban

Went for some dinner last night and could not believe what the considered quality. Fries came out warm and dripping with oil, my wifes mushroom burger was a overcooked hockey puck and my Cuban came mostly untrusted, dripping with whatever the use on the griddle and devoid of meat and no cheese. Been coming here for years, but can't justify paying for this anymore, there are other breweries in the area with quality food.

    Margherita. What is this?
    Scott H.

I'm not quite sure why our pizza experience was the way it was. I look at the pictures and that isn't what we got. We got the margherita. Disgusting. It was soggy and undercooked. In fact you could peel off the layer of undercooked top. It was just unpleasant tasting too. I got the Cuban sandwich. I was massively happy with my meal. Lots of pork and the sauce was really flavorful too. I'd return for the Cuban. My only issue is that the ham was either missing or lost. Gotta have the ham. I'll be back for the Cuban but will definitely pass on the pizza.

We were looking for a bite to eat with a dog friendly atmosphere on the way back to Vancouver and tried this place based on the star rating & message on phone advising they are pet friendly. Lots of outdoor seating options as well as inside for dogs. The menu is not plentiful but there are options. Pricing was reasonable. Pizza size is definitely shareable. Give it a shot if you are traveling with furry family members.

Ok, they had me at helles beer. We had beers and dinner. The food was delicious. We shared a pizza and a Caesar salad. We also had the cauliflower wings which I thought were awful. Way too spicy and frozen tasting. We were sitting across from where the servers were and the bar was in between us so there were times when we couldn't get the servers attention. All in all, I'd recommend this place.

Cute place just across the river into Washington! 4 stars only because the hazy I ordered wasn't really very hazy. Clear as day! But no matter I know I'm on the wrong side of the country for New England IPAs. Snacks weee good vibe was cute and there's a little shop next door too.

Walking Man makes a Cherry Stout that, alone, is worth the drive from wherever you happen to be. It is occasionally available at bars in Portland, but the atmosphere at the source in Stevenson adds to the experience. On our most recent visit, they had an inspited pairing on the food menu that I don't recall seeing anywhere else: chicken wings with Indian Butter Chicken sauce. Their version of the sauce wasn't my all time favorite, but I'm sure I'll be trying this again on my next visit. My guess is that, like me, a lot of people find themselves here in nice weather, when the siren call of the Gorge is loudest. So, don't be surprised to find a crowd, and a wait for your order to be prepared. Thankfully the outdoor seating is in a beautiful shaded area, so the wait will be pleasant.

They are $21, only 6oz, and charge extra for more than basic toppings, including basics like cheese. It was also a 3 dollar up charge....for fries. Fries. Instead we opted for sandwiches and hummus thinking we could get a better value. We were wrong. None of the sandwiches were worth the 20 dollars that they were listed at, and the $15 hummus came with dried out sliced carrots and was no better than something you could grab for a few bucks at the grocery store. The pita almost tasted sour...and it wasn't sour dough, Very disappointed, aside from the beer and cider options, which were decent. We will not be back. If you're heading home to Portland from Hood River eat before you leave. We are pretty laid back and easy to impress, but this was wildly inadequate and in no way a good experience. Oh, PS: We had to ask twice for a check. We waited for ten minutes after the first ask and eventually paid at the bar because we had to go.

Seating is mainly on the rooftop where you get a nice overlook of the Cascade Locks neighborhood. The beer list is mainly handcrafted beers from Oregon so if you're looking for domestic items such as Coors light or Bud light, this ain't your location. We did some Kolschs and the Day Hike Pale Ales. The Pale Ale is tasty and easy to drink. My sister likes the Kolsch although it didn't appeal to my girlfriend as it was a bit sour for her. She did like the Pale Ale so I had to order another one for her. As for food, I went with the farmers salad and the wings while my sister got the classic cheeseburger and my girlfriend went with the chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and we dug in. The salad was bigger than I expected and I loved the beets and bacon with the goat cheese mixed in. As for the wings, I could've done without those as they came out dry and tough. The sauce is pretty good (hazy ipa buffalo) which I'm sure would amplify the flavor of the wings if they weren't so stiff. My girlfriend and sister both enjoyed their chicken sandwich and burger. I probably should've ordered one of those cause they looked tasty. My nephew ordered the kids chicken tenders w/ fries. He ate them and didnt' complain which is a good thing. The location also hosts events such as weddings and engagement parties; not surprised given the views of the area and the access to the beer. Apparently there's also a Gorges Beer location directly in Southeast Portland if you don't want to go all the way to Cascade Locks. This spot is alright; my nephew enjoys it here so I'll probably be here again when we visit the Hatchery next time we come.

Another co-worker was helpful in helping us to get seated and bringing out food/drinks. Wonderful service, thank you! Third, the food was AMAZING! Everything we ate was fresh, hearty, and so flavorful. We shared a cup of clam chowder and it was so creamy and delicious. Thanks to the power of Yelpers, we discovered Brigham Fish Market. Inside is bright, clean, and welcoming. Keep in mind, this is not a restaurant, but a fish market with delicious food and a handful of tables inside for folks to sit and enjoy, as well as tables outside. If you're looking for fancy, this is not the place, but if you want delicious, homey food, you won't be disappointed. Since we were still full from our biggish brunch, our original plan was to buy salmon and head home to Portland. However, the folks were so friendly and helpful, we decided to pick up some smoked salmon, a Coho salmon filet, AND shared some fish and chips with clam chowder. Full disclosure, I'm not a big fan of clam chowder, but I could have easily eaten the whole bowl myself. It was flavorful and didn't have that dreaded gritty, sandy crunch, which is why I typically avoid clam chowder. The fish and chips were light, crisp, and super flavorful. The person who helped us recommended their favorite Cajun preparation, and I am so glad we followed their sage advice (thanks again)! The fries were equally delicious-- golden, light, and crispy. The smoked salmon was incredible. It was yummy on its own, on a bagel with cream cheese, and our lucky Sheepies also got a little smackerel for being good girls. They give four paws up. As for the Coho salmon, it was fantastic! The person who brought us our packaged-up goodies reminded us that Coho is a thinner cut and we should take care not to overcook. Oh, did I mention that when you purchase fish to go, they offer you ice? Huzzah!! We were so grateful for this offer, since we had forgotten to pack our cooler. The next night, we prepared our precious Coho salmon by broiling it in a miso-maple glaze for no more than six to nine minutes. It was tender, juicy, and oh-so-tasty! We can't wait to return for more, and this time we'll come with empty stomachs so we can indulge in more of the menu.
