Had the 'valentine' menu - set menu for two. Nice atmosphere. Husband didn't like the hard chair tho - hurt his hip. Service was great. Wagyu was so soft /tender.

Smoked steelhead hash without hollandaise sauce

We've lived in Stevenson for over 3 years and I keep forgetting that the lodge has the best breakfast in town. I got the smoked steelhead hash which was amazing!!! Highly recommend if you're into fish. There was a good amount of food. Pancakes were fluffy and you get a lot of them and the pimento chicken sandwich was delicious and it was gone within 4 minutes. We'll definitely come back for brunch again.

I'm giving this 3 stars only because the staff is always friendly and accommodating, but I've been coming here for over three years now and the food just is lacking. First I ordered something as simple as eggs over medium for breakfast. I had to return them several times as they just couldn't get it right... The whites were runny, which is why I order over medium. For dinner, I ordered a Caesar salad, and instead of chopped or shredded lettuce, they plated a whole head of lettuce sprinkled with some shaved Parmesan and what look like small pieces of toast. If I wanted a whole head of lettuce for dinner, I could have brought one from Trader Joe's. The rest of the food in my opinion is just lackluster. For a supposedly award-winning kitchen, there's no finesse in anything they do, and often the meals are hit or miss. My medium rare burger was overdone, I've had soggy fish with my fish and chips, and I think for the time being, I'm done eating here. I ordered the chai apple tart for dessert, and that too was just boring. ironically, everything sounds good on the menu. But when it gets to you, it's just not what you envisioned. It's a shame because the hotel is nice, the surroundings and scenery are beautiful, and again the staff is always welcoming and friendly. I hope the food staff gets their act together, or considers upgrading their food service. Lastly, on one night I ordered room service, and I asked if they could put my food on a real plate with real utensils, and they said they do not do that. I travel a lot and a number of hotels will give you the option. Unfortunately, Skamania does not. It's not a dealbreaker, but for the prices, it feels like drive-through eating, just my opinion.

So many things went wrong. We stayed at Skamania Lodge and attended a conference with hundreds of people you would think that the restaurant would be prepared for an event of this size as people are hungry. On day one, The restaurant service was poor and there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between staff, they could not accommodate reservations And ran out of seating. When we finally did get our reservation accommodated, they had ran out of food. So we ended up leaving and going somewhere else for breakfast. On day two, we tried it again and experienced the same thing. So we actually never ate in the restaurant, however, you can call their order to go number and they will bring you your food if you are on site in the lounge or in your room which is a nice option to have, though you might be waiting a while. I did use it once and ordered coffee on my second morning.

After checking in at the Skamania Lodge, we went downstairs for a relaxing dinner and were seated immediately at a window table with a gorgeous view. The service was friendly and efficient with helpful suggestions. The watermelon salad was excellent and seafood risotto superb with several full-sized seared scallops, mussels, and shrimp. Coffee and lavender creme brulee finshed off a great meal and we look forward to a relaxing weekend!

Beautiful view and friendly staff. The food was so so. I had the seafood risotto, and Andrew had the short ribs. Everything in the risotto was pretty good, but the mussels tasted...off. They didn't taste like they were bad they just tasted...odd. My stomach was not very happy with me later that night either. The drinks were tasty. The short ribs were cooked perfectly, but it could have used more sauce.

Great food and service! The views were incredible. We were sat at a window seat and it was just so beautiful. Our brunch was delicious! We didn't stay at the lodge but went for brunch and it wasn't a problem at all. Definitely would recommend!

We went for dinner on Saturday for the first time. The restaurant was busy, so I made a reservation next to the view. The food was ok; I ordered a brick chicken oven, which was a bit salty, and their unique cocktails of the day didn't impress me. The service is great.

I had a great trip to the Skemania Lodge. The Cascade dining room provided plenty of great meals. The service was always top notch! From burgers to pizza, everything was delicious. For our last meal there, we can the list of appetizers. Every one of them was tasty! Besides great food, there are also great views of the river from inside or the patio! Definitely check it out!

Brigham Fish Market - Halibut fish & chips

Brigham Fish Market

After going on a significant hike to see local water falls, we were starving! Yelp connected us…read morewith Brigham Fish Market and it was the BEST recommendation! First of all, the drive into the town was gorgeous and scenic. What a restaurant with a view! Easy parking and plenty of seating on the inside. Second, the staff were incredible. From the moment we walked in, the young lady taking our order was friendly, welcoming, and helpful with our questions as non-locals. Another co-worker was helpful in helping us to get seated and bringing out food/drinks. Wonderful service, thank you! Third, the food was AMAZING! Everything we ate was fresh, hearty, and so flavorful. We shared a cup of clam chowder and it was so creamy and delicious. My husband got the fish and chips with the Cajun seasoning and it was so scrumptious! And very filling! I got the smoked salmon po'boy and it was so decadent. I loved every bite and walked away stuffed! And, on top of it all, prices were so reasonable for such fresh fish and ingredients! If we are ever in the area again, we are going to be sure to stop by Brigham Fish Market. It is worth every minute of the drive, every dollar, and every bite! Thanks for an amazing lunch!

My hubby and I stayed in the Stevenson, WA area for our anniversary weekend and wanted to buy…read moreindigenously sourced salmon to bring home. Thanks to the power of Yelpers, we discovered Brigham Fish Market. Inside is bright, clean, and welcoming. Keep in mind, this is not a restaurant, but a fish market with delicious food and a handful of tables inside for folks to sit and enjoy, as well as tables outside. If you're looking for fancy, this is not the place, but if you want delicious, homey food, you won't be disappointed. Since we were still full from our biggish brunch, our original plan was to buy salmon and head home to Portland. However, the folks were so friendly and helpful, we decided to pick up some smoked salmon, a Coho salmon filet, AND shared some fish and chips with clam chowder. Full disclosure, I'm not a big fan of clam chowder, but I could have easily eaten the whole bowl myself. It was flavorful and didn't have that dreaded gritty, sandy crunch, which is why I typically avoid clam chowder. The fish and chips were light, crisp, and super flavorful. The person who helped us recommended their favorite Cajun preparation, and I am so glad we followed their sage advice (thanks again)! The fries were equally delicious-- golden, light, and crispy. The smoked salmon was incredible. It was yummy on its own, on a bagel with cream cheese, and our lucky Sheepies also got a little smackerel for being good girls. They give four paws up. As for the Coho salmon, it was fantastic! The person who brought us our packaged-up goodies reminded us that Coho is a thinner cut and we should take care not to overcook. Oh, did I mention that when you purchase fish to go, they offer you ice? Huzzah!! We were so grateful for this offer, since we had forgotten to pack our cooler. The next night, we prepared our precious Coho salmon by broiling it in a miso-maple glaze for no more than six to nine minutes. It was tender, juicy, and oh-so-tasty! We can't wait to return for more, and this time we'll come with empty stomachs so we can indulge in more of the menu.

Don't think of this as a golf club restaurant but more of a top choice for a nice dinner or nice meal in the area. My wife, mother and I were staying at the resort next door to the golf course and decided to give Isadore's with no prior research. Being from Seattle, the menu and approach from Isadore's and their effort to be a high end restaurant serving unique high quality cuisine was terrifying. In Seattle, a restaurant with this type of approach is going to be awful, pretentious, tiny portions and expensive. Isadore's was the direct opposite with stunningly unique food, excellent service and a very warm inviting vibe. We enjoyed Isadore's so much that not only did we eat dinner here but we returned to enjoy their lunch menu the next day. The people working at Isadore's were truly a cut above as everyone we met from the host, to our waitresses, to the other service people, to the Head Chef, to the owner were already incredibly friendly and extremely passionate about Isadore's and taking care of their customers. The host was a very young lady who could not have had a better attitude and who was so friendly to us. I was also highly impressed with how hard she was working always cleaning or doing something while not attending to her hosting duties. Our two waitresses were spectacular with good humor and great effort taking care of us. The real reason I am writing this review is the steak I had here was one of the best I've had in recent memory. An incredibly unique blue cheese crust with Portobello mushrooms on top of a flavorful perfectly cooked NY Steak. I've have never had a blue cheese crust on a steak before and it absolutely rocked my socks! My wife ordered the same thing and she has been known to hurt people and start fires when her steak isn't cooked correctly. Both of our steaks were nailed with complete perfections at two different temperatures. Exceptional! We tried lots of different things here. My wife loved the clams she got. The different types of bread were all awesome! My mother was raving about this place during the entire trip. Out of everything we had here across Dinner and then lunch the next day, everything was great to exceptional. Really had no expectations walking in but walking out was completely blown away. Isadore's hit it out of the park in virtually way. My mother was even raving about how fancy she thought the bathrooms were. We really loved Isadore's and would go back any time we're in the area!

We have eaten there before, post Spa. Yesterday, after our visit to the spa, we came here for lunch. The service was awful, just awful. Our server acted like they were annoyed by our presence. We were only one of two tables. We both ordered sandwiches, the club sandwich and the croissant sandwich. We also ordered a side of fries. The server failed to tell use our meals already came with fries, so that was $14 wasted. After delivering our super fry heavy meals to the table, they never came back to check on us...except to ask us to pay before we were done eating, so that they could close their drawer out for the day. But my mom and myself have been servers in the past. We tend to give grace to whoever serves us and we tip heavy. My mom said "Maybe her dog died today or something." But when the next shifts staff came in, our serve had no problem laughing and acting like their day was just fine. Her ill treatment of us, felt somehow personal. Can't explain why, we didn't do anything to deserve it. Our meal was $53 total before the tip. We decided to tip only 15% and based on the price our meal should have been, minus the excessive $14 order of fries. It was the lowest percentage of tip I can remember giving in the last 2 decades. Not sure why she didn't like us, but in the end, the feeling became mutual. We will return to the resort spa once to twice a year, but we will never eat here again.
