Complementary Best Western breakfast menu.
Brandon M.

Thanks to the Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn, my son and I enjoyed our complimentary breakfast here. You order at the cafeteria-style counter, get a number, and sit. When your breakfast is complete, it is cooked to order and brought to you. It has a rustic atmosphere, ample open seating with tables and booths, and incredible views of the River and the Bridge of the Gods. Friendly service and competitive pricing are also provided. A gift and coffee shop is attached. I would recommend it for breakfast.

We walked in and there was a pretty good menu and they still served us even we were there 20 mins before closing. I got some food and it was pretty solid, nice and filling the person who was serving us gave us a free cup of sauce when requested. There is a great view of the columbia river and The gods bridge. So overall it went pretty well. Would come again!! Ps: My dad got a ruben and hes very happy about it.

Great food and easy ordering! Food came out fast, hot and delicious. Beautiful views with booths and tables available. Such a fun spot to stop when checking out the bridge of gods.

I had been recommended to eat here specifically because of the bridge view. The view was indeed beautiful. That was the main attractant for many I believe. I was not really impressed by the restaurant itself. You order at a counter, grab a number and seat yourself. It was extremely packed so you have to kind of hustle to claim an open spot. Drinks are self serve and the OJ tasted similar to sunny D. Staff were flat and seemed impatient at times- particularly the busser. The food was not bad, but not amazing either. I paid $21 for pancakes with bacon, orange juice, and an extra side of bacon. Tip was not expected but there was a jar on the counter.

no ranch

Came from the booneville dam right before this. me and my family were extremely hungry and expecting a good lunch. We walked in to a massive line, even though it's 130. what really took me off the edge was the prices though. We were looking at the menu, and the prices are ABSOLOUTLY outrageous. I know inflation is a thing. but $9 for 2 chicken tenders is CRAZY. INSANE. one of my family members then wanted a little bit of extra ranch because they gave us a small cup. I walk up to the counter, and ask for a cup of ranch, and they say " 50 cents please". 50 cents for some extra ranch!!?? This ruined my day. the only slightly good thing was the view. as you can see from other reviews, this place is not good. STAY AWAY. The bathrooms were ok, but aren't anymore... sorry guys

We attended a meeting at nearby Slamania Lodge and took the toll bridge across the river to try out Bridgeside for a nice diner breakfast. Hot generous portions hit the spot with spacious window booths and views of the Columbia River. Nice selection of pie slices and strong coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful view / good basic choices for a quick breakfast. Pretty sure the bacon was microwaved which I don't care for . But the yogurt and granola with honey was tasty.

Walk in and order your food and beverage, then find a seat. I ordered the black bean burger with fries $16.00. I was surprised with the double patty with cheese. It as delicious, held together nicely, had a little guacamole on top. The fries were plentiful and fried perfectly. Our view of the river and Bridge of the God's was beautiful. There's a nice gift shop, alcoholic beverages as well as a variety of non-alcoholic and Pepsi products.

"How many are in your group?" Our visit to Bridgeside started with this innocent-sounding question from the staff. We soon found out that it was anything but innocent, as we found that this was the company's way of tacking on an 18% gratuity to any "group" larger than 8 people. Probably a way to add to their profit from groups of elderly people on your buses. The food was mediocre at best. My 11-year-old got a kids burger ($6.00 = $7.05 with the family tax), and literally started crying when it was brought to us, as the portion was not even the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger and small fry. I switched with him and ate the smaller portion, giving him my "larger" burger, which was still on the small size, and not nearly what one would expect from a burger that cost $14 ($16.50 with the 18% family tax). Apart from the prices, the food also was not great. About the quality one would expect from a low-budget political fundraiser potluck or drive-through fast food. Definitely not restaurant quality. The restaurant recently changed its hours, so you can no longer eat dinner at the place. The staff does bring your food to your table when your order is ready. If you have never been to the restaurant before, however, be prepared to get your own drinks. I didn't know this, and went back to the register to report that we didn't get our drinks, and was told where to get the drinks for ourselves. The view from the seating area is spectacular, and there is outdoor patio seating if you want to go and find it. Directly beside the "Bridge of the Gods," the setting is idyllic. If only the business were run in a similar fashion, with quality and integrity. Unfortunately, Bridgeside Family Dining cannot be recommended. If you must stop, don't bring friends, or you'll be charged an extra 18%.

Not a bad spot. But if you're looking for a burger, and have time to wait, Eastwind down the street is a better option.

Ask the Community - Bridgeside

Can I sit outside with my dog?

Probably, after all is Oregon

Do you have outdoor dining available?

We have seasonal, outdoor seating which is also weather-dependent. Guests order at the counter and then can find their seating location.

Do the hamburgers have a charburger flavor?

Thanks for the question: Our burgers are cooked on a grill, but we can assure you that the burgers are outstanding in flavor and preparation. There is no open flame, so no char. We hope to see you soon!

Seating is mainly on the rooftop where you get a nice overlook of the Cascade Locks neighborhood. The beer list is mainly handcrafted beers from Oregon so if you're looking for domestic items such as Coors light or Bud light, this ain't your location. We did some Kolschs and the Day Hike Pale Ales. The Pale Ale is tasty and easy to drink. My sister likes the Kolsch although it didn't appeal to my girlfriend as it was a bit sour for her. She did like the Pale Ale so I had to order another one for her. As for food, I went with the farmers salad and the wings while my sister got the classic cheeseburger and my girlfriend went with the chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and we dug in. The salad was bigger than I expected and I loved the beets and bacon with the goat cheese mixed in. As for the wings, I could've done without those as they came out dry and tough. The sauce is pretty good (hazy ipa buffalo) which I'm sure would amplify the flavor of the wings if they weren't so stiff. My girlfriend and sister both enjoyed their chicken sandwich and burger. I probably should've ordered one of those cause they looked tasty. My nephew ordered the kids chicken tenders w/ fries. He ate them and didnt' complain which is a good thing. The location also hosts events such as weddings and engagement parties; not surprised given the views of the area and the access to the beer. Apparently there's also a Gorges Beer location directly in Southeast Portland if you don't want to go all the way to Cascade Locks. This spot is alright; my nephew enjoys it here so I'll probably be here again when we visit the Hatchery next time we come.

An epic Breakfast menu for foodies and standard fair breakfast/brunch lovers is new and ON at Clark & Lewie's - designed and prepared by Brandy's husband and chef Tony! A "first" review challenge for me: How to write in "groans and sighs." Because words just won't accurately communicate the sophisticated, savory flavors, texture and clear love of food like we experienced. Crepes. Yes crepes! They offer two varieties that I couldn't choose from, so they offered one of each! The first is bacon, cheese and egg, and the second with ham/cheese and raspberry jam? The first bite - oooooohhhh - the texture that hits your mouth says "do I have your FULL attention?". And the first auditory responses are moans, groans and a few unsavory expletives....for which you quickly apologize to your dining partner. And your eyes lock on your food and fork - and then partner - with some serious "affection." Holy crap! Then the biscuits and gravy...equally not your standard fair with ample extra creamy servings of love and satiation. We also had to try an extra side of their potatoes obrian which are also not you standard fair and clearly trying to hold its own as a lead entre vs side. Moist, savory and incredible dipped in the gravy:) And then the bloody Mary's! Please note in the pictures the massive thick piece of bacon, that they cook in the oven with cayanne and brown sugar! And ALL of this backed by a scenic Columbia riverside view with its sleepy, eerie and calming mountain peaks, clouds and shimmering light. I must again reference our (local) server Brandy, and her incredible multi-talented husband Tony- they are the heart behind your entire dining experience. Brandy's piercing blue eyes radiate her love of what she does and her life with her large family here in the gorge. Richness in every level that pleases all your senses and soul. Oh! And with a bag full of breakfast leftovers, we ordered a full serving of their famous beef and elk stroganoff to take home as well!:) We'll be back!

Don't think of this as a golf club restaurant but more of a top choice for a nice dinner or nice meal in the area. My wife, mother and I were staying at the resort next door to the golf course and decided to give Isadore's with no prior research. Being from Seattle, the menu and approach from Isadore's and their effort to be a high end restaurant serving unique high quality cuisine was terrifying. In Seattle, a restaurant with this type of approach is going to be awful, pretentious, tiny portions and expensive. Isadore's was the direct opposite with stunningly unique food, excellent service and a very warm inviting vibe. We enjoyed Isadore's so much that not only did we eat dinner here but we returned to enjoy their lunch menu the next day. The people working at Isadore's were truly a cut above as everyone we met from the host, to our waitresses, to the other service people, to the Head Chef, to the owner were already incredibly friendly and extremely passionate about Isadore's and taking care of their customers. The host was a very young lady who could not have had a better attitude and who was so friendly to us. I was also highly impressed with how hard she was working always cleaning or doing something while not attending to her hosting duties. Our two waitresses were spectacular with good humor and great effort taking care of us. The real reason I am writing this review is the steak I had here was one of the best I've had in recent memory. An incredibly unique blue cheese crust with Portobello mushrooms on top of a flavorful perfectly cooked NY Steak. I've have never had a blue cheese crust on a steak before and it absolutely rocked my socks! My wife ordered the same thing and she has been known to hurt people and start fires when her steak isn't cooked correctly. Both of our steaks were nailed with complete perfections at two different temperatures. Exceptional! We tried lots of different things here. My wife loved the clams she got. The different types of bread were all awesome! My mother was raving about this place during the entire trip. Out of everything we had here across Dinner and then lunch the next day, everything was great to exceptional. Really had no expectations walking in but walking out was completely blown away. Isadore's hit it out of the park in virtually way. My mother was even raving about how fancy she thought the bathrooms were. We really loved Isadore's and would go back any time we're in the area!

The server failed to tell use our meals already came with fries, so that was $14 wasted. After delivering our super fry heavy meals to the table, they never came back to check on us...except to ask us to pay before we were done eating, so that they could close their drawer out for the day. But my mom and myself have been servers in the past. We tend to give grace to whoever serves us and we tip heavy. My mom said "Maybe her dog died today or something." But when the next shifts staff came in, our serve had no problem laughing and acting like their day was just fine. Her ill treatment of us, felt somehow personal. Can't explain why, we didn't do anything to deserve it. Our meal was $53 total before the tip. We decided to tip only 15% and based on the price our meal should have been, minus the excessive $14 order of fries. It was the lowest percentage of tip I can remember giving in the last 2 decades. Not sure why she didn't like us, but in the end, the feeling became mutual. We will return to the resort spa once to twice a year, but we will never eat here again.

This is their more upscale dining option there (elevated menu & on the pricey side), as they have a more casual lounge dining room on-site as well. This dining room is beautifully decorated, but it's your typical nice hotel style dining room that's large with high-ceilings, so it doesn't have an intimate or romantic feel. Not a problem, just mentioning it in case that's the vibe you wanted. The staff were friendly & helpful. Our food was delicious at the start when it was still hot/warm: the Hubs had their Lamb Ragu, and I had the Halibut. Portions were exactly enough for you to eat it all and feel just satisfied, but not stuffed, without any leftovers. I was hoping portions would be a little bit more, based on the price, but given the high cost of groceries these days, I understand. What wasn't so great? In a word: cold. Their dinner service starts at 5p and we arrived a few minutes after that time, so we were part of their first diners of the evening on a Saturday night. We ordered their small loaf of warm sourdough bread & butter to have with our meal. The bread was lukewarm, but the butter, which had been previously whipped & piped into a little ramekin ahead of time, was cold & hard, as it must have just came out of the fridge. The plates our entrees were served on were also cold, so halfway through our meals our food was completely cold. Even though their dinner service starts at 5p, I'm sure there's kitchen staff in there ahead of time that should get some of those little ramekins of butter out of the fridge ahead of time (or at least put under the warming lamp for a little bit before serving), and put some serving plates under the heat lamp or in a warming drawer. Perhaps they normally do this and on our night there someone forgot. Either way, it out a cold damper on what we hoped would be nice dinner out.
