We were quickly seated which is great with a party of 13. My husband and i shared the french dip and onion rings which were both SO good!! The onion ring order was so large we ended up sharing with everyone in our group. Our waiter was great and made sure that we all had what we needed. My only suggestion is to let a large group know ahead of time that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill.

It was also in the middle of a heat wave in OR, so we asked to sit outside. After my husband snagged our table, I brought our well-trained and well-behaved Siberian with us to the patio. There was another poorly-behaved dog, but my dog could not have cared any less, and it was far enough away that it didn't bother me too much either. The outdoor seating was minimal and basic, but did the job. Thankfully there was shade from the umbrellas. I put my dog in his "tuck" command under me as he is trained to do at restaurants, and proceeded to look at the menu. To be honest, the food looked pretty good, and also smelled pretty good, as I watched other patrons get their meals. However, we were still pretty stuffed, so we settled with a beer flight. The beers were out to our table pretty quickly, but after trying them, my husband and I came to the consensus that we expected more from the only brewing company in town. As another Yelper put it, the beers fell flat for us too. I was hoping there would be more/different notes to each beer, which is the whole point of sampling multiple, but they all seemed quite monotone. It started getting pretty warm underneath our umbrella, so we quickly wrapped up our beer flight and left. The view was gorgeous, and the location splendid (hence the 4 stars), and perhaps next time I'd be down to try one of their dishes, specifically the elkburger, but I was a little disappointed in the beer. I've been to plenty of breweries to enjoy beers there and also bought craft beers/growlers for home, so I'd like to say I'm decently versed in beer, but this missed the mark.

They only have large picnic tables to sit at so that wasn't real comfortable either. There aren't a lot of choices in Maupin so we continued with our order. They were out of 3 menu items that I asked for, which was really a bummer. I finally settled on something I wasn't super excited about. Once our food came, flies swarmed us. We were sweating from the direct sun, blinded by how bright it was with no shade or respite from the sun, and now we were batting flies off of our food. It made for a pretty disappointing meal. We asked to be moved inside, which they were able to do eventually but it definitely made for a frustrating dining experience. Our drinks were not refilled without being asked and there was a decent delay in getting our food. Our food was decent. The star of the show was the desserts. The berry crumble and blueberry cheesecake was to die for. All told, we would not come back unless we were guaranteed a seat inside or they got umbrellas and some comfortable seating on their outdoor deck.

Everytime we stay at the Oasis we go here, it's tradition and mandatory. A day in the sun is well spent after some amazing food here-- the owner and her staff are the best. Eveything is delicious and a must stop when in Maupin. Thank you for the great service and food!

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!
