    8" mountain of meat"

I make this joint my destination from Vancouver. Love love love the pizza. Self admitted pizza snob from the east coast. This place nails it!! Fill up my belly and gas tank across the street (92 non-ethanol) ride back home.

While out wine tasting in White Salmon, we needed food and decided to order Beneventi's Pizza and have it delivered. They were happy to accommodate, as was the owner of the wine bar. We ordered a variety of 16" and personal 8" pizzas. My friends ordered theirs with multiple toppings - a green veggie pie, a Hawaiian plus additional sausage and pepperoni, a meat lovers pie - and I got the double pepperoni. All the pizzas arrived hot with cheese melted. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their pizza. My preference is a thinner crust, but their thicker crust was tasty. There was ample sauce, which isn't always the case, and plenty of cheese. I wouldn't say it's the best pizza, but it's darn good, so a solid 4. The customer service and delivery is a 5. I'd definitely order again.

I wanted pizza last night while staying nearby doing some hiking. First visit to Beneventi's...great location with plenty of street parking. The place is unassuming, what you might expect for a small town pizza shop. We placed a phone order for a Caesar salad and two 8 inch pies: a Hawaiian surfer and a chicken/onion. Everything came out on time and to order. To be totally honest, my chicken pizza wasn't my fav. It wasn't bad by any means, I just didn't love the flavor of the chicken used and the sauce wasn't as spicy as I prefer. My husband, however, really loved his Hawaiian. The salad was your typical Caesar, but they provided plenty of dressing on the side, which a lot of places don't do with take-out. While the pizza wasn't ideal for me personally, it was greatly appreciated by the hubby. It should also be noted that the service was friendly and fabulous...and that goes a long way. I'd definitely return to try other menu items.

It's not the best pizza. Definitely nothing to rave about. It's not bad but it's not good.

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!

The pizza was pretty doughy and flimsy on the bottom. Toppings were average. I picked this pizza because it was the most normal on the menu. I'm all for interesting, unusual pizzas, but none of the other ones on their menu appealed to me. They are weird, but not my taste. It took awhile to make the pizza; they told me 20 minutes on the phone and it was more like 30. It turns out this was because they had to remake it. According the guy working there, their oven has a weird spot in it and created a hole in part of the pizza. They remade it, and it came out the same way; you can see the hole in the in the bottom right of the photo, under some toppings. They offered to remake it a third time, but I didn't want to wait any longer and I doubted it would turn out differently. They didn't offer me the first version of the pizza or a discount for the hole or the extra wait time.

Definitely the standout of the table for me. Service was friendly and expedient, which I always appreciate in the morning when everyone is trying to get caffeinated and out the door. My companions ordered the protein bowl, which was a hearty mix of grains and grilled vegetables with your choice of tofu or egg. It leaned a little bland flavor-wise, but it did exactly what it needed to do: provided a filling, healthy base for a full day of activity in Hood River.
