Day 1 - walked from the hotel, sat down, the waitress brought a cup of water and the menu. 20 minutes later she stopped by to take my order. The food came out at a reasonable time. Then (and I kid you not) took 31 min 52 sec (because I timed it) before she came back. There were only 11 people in the whole entire restaurant. Day 2 - was working late, walked to the restaurant (which closes at 9pm) I was there in the door at 8:21pm, restaurant was completely empty except for one family that was finishing their dinner. Some douche bag kid, with a lama haircut, asked if I was picking up food, I said No. Then he tells me that they stop sitting people down at 8pm. Showed me to the door and with a stupid smile on his face said "out, thank you" Forgot to mention, on day-1 all the gnats that were flying around the soy sauce (personally, I asked for a fresh one) Anywho, this is my first negative review on the service and cleanliness. The food was Good but please straighten up your kid and your staff! I acknowledge the situation, and the family with the lama haircut kid were probably the owners.

This place was right next to my hotel and I thought I'd avoid it so I can explore the rest of the area. I did, I came back, and I shouldn't have avoided it in the first place. It was great. When I stepped in it was an hour away from closing time, and no one was in. I was the only person there, yet they were already cleaning and stacking the chairs... an hour prior to closing. Quickly, I got to ordering. All at the same time, I ordered the Super Volcano ($18.50), Oregon ($17.75), and a beer. Both were very delicious, I'd say the super volcano was a little big and harder to eat, but still good. Aside from ordering, and delivery of the food/drink, and check, I didn't see any staff. It was a cold, strange vibe. But good food though.

My parents and I came here the other day for dinner in Hood River and enjoyed our meal! The servers were friendly and helpful, and the ambiance was laid back and light. The restaurant has these big beautiful windows that look out towards the river front which was lovely as we were seated at a table by the windows! We enjoyed the food we ordered and the portions were generous - definitely good for sharing!

The sushi here was really good, however the service was incredibly slow. We ordered four rolls, edamame, and some pineapple fried rice chicken. We got one roll a good 10 minutes after the other ones. And, unfortunately, had to wait 30 minutes for our pineapple fried rice and it didn't even have chicken. It was overcooked shrimp. And raisins???? This spot seems like it's a beloved spot, we're just visiting. But it was the slowest service we've ever had. We were here 2 hours just because of all the waiting we had to do. We waited 10 mins for seating (not bad), then another 10 just to order. And like I said, we were long done with our sushi when they told us the FIRST time that our rice was running behind. The second time the server apologized profusely. That was almost 30 minutes all together. And we ordered it the same time as our sushi. The server gave us a small discount and some complimentary mochi ice cream. Which was not like normal mochi at all. It was crumbly instead of gummy. But, we appreciated the gesture. It seems like they were severely under staffed for a busy Sunday night. The two servers could barely keep up with cleaning, waiting, and hosting. I felt bad for them. The owners should definitely get more help for the weekends.

We were stating at the Hampton Inn so it is about 75ft door to door. I'll start with the only bad. Menu says ask about our tap beer as the change frequently. So, "what do you have on tap? Just Kirin, we might get a delivery tomorrow " Now, the food was amazing. Fresh, good portions, beautifully presented and worth it. Servuce was good, not great but they were busy. Indoor and patio dinning. Full bar and sushi bar. I saw the stuffed baked mussels at the table next to us and I wanted to grab one!!! Definitely recommend!!

Big menu and good vegetarian options. We ordered a few cocktails but they were lackluster. I would come back to try more dishes.

What a find! If you crave sushi, sashimi and rolls, you will love this place. And if you are like me, and don't eat raw or semi cooked fish, there are plenty of other delicious options! For my first visit, I had the Japanese udon noodles, the soup dente noodles with a perfect chew were are sautéed with cabbage, thin slices of carrots, scallions and broccoli. For extra protein, I added chicken which was tender and delicious. For this meal alone, I'm so happy that I discovered this place! I would order this again in a minute. For us. In sushi lovers, they also offer teriyaki and bento boxes, chicken katsu, General Tso's chicken, Pad Thai, orange chicken, udon soup, tempura, goyza, fried rice, - just to name a few! Point is, there are options. I've passed Kobe Sushi & Bar so many times driving on I-84, their sign high on the building next to Hampton Inns. After a walk along the river and watching the sunset, I decided to stop in, not wanting to cook dinner that late. So glad I did! The restaurant is actually street level and there are several tables outside on the sidewalk with great views of the river. Lots of great appetizers, inventive cocktails, and yes, for you sushi lovers, a vast variety of rolls, including fried rolls. Lots of sashimi options, too. Note that the crab and lobster is imitation and noted on menu. Take exit 64 off I-84 and head towards the river. Worth the stop, especially in a town that has few decent Asian food options! I'll definitely be back.

As far as rolls go we have cucumber avocado, the Buddha roll, and the world peace roll may have to ask for no sauce. The Tofu Pad Thai with no egg would be a suggestion. Edamame.

Working Hands was one of those and we noticed that this brewery specializes in lagers. We were very excited to hear this as we love lagers very much. I don't remember exactly what lager Steve got but it was a nice, crisp one as one would come to hope that this type of beer would have. It was tasty. And I knew exactly what I would be ordering. I saw that the brewery had a Mexican Lager which is one of my favorite kind of lager. So it didn't take much thought as to what I would be getting. The name of the beer was the Dorado Especial. Flavor features are what you would find in a lager such as this. A biscuity flavor, crispness and perhaps a touch of a corn flavor were at work here. It was quite tasty and very enjoyable to have. Full Sail is a very well respected micro brewery, founded in 1987 and the first craft brewery in the Pacific Northwest to bottle its beer. It's flagship Amber has won numerous awards, including recently in 2025 a Gold Medal at the NY International Beer Competition (along with the brewery being named Oregon Brewery of the Year). It has a large line-up of beers brewed inhouse There is a large paid parking lot across the street at $1.25 per hour, payable via credit card through nearby kiosks. Once entering, there is a long hallway, walking past the working areas of the brewery, until getting to the restaurant area. It has views of I-84, and further the Columbia River. The outdoor patio was not open (drizzling outside), and it was pretty crowded inside but we got lucky to be seated at a table near windows with a view. There have lunch and happy hour specials during weekdays. The lunch special is 1/2 of a sandwich (grilled cheese this day) along with a cup of their soup of the day (tomato). I was super excited about the Amber, so got a pint of that ($8) and pint of the Queen Wheat ($8). My wife enjoyed the Queen Wheat but didn't care for the Amber. I really liked the Amber, making me realize why I had drunk so much of that style earlier in my life when in Wisconsin, before switching over to wheat beer. There selection of beer is great, and a flight is the way to go ($18 of 6 5oz samplers). Buffalo Hot Wings ($17) - a decent amount of simply deep fried hot wings in a classic Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread Sticks ($13) - 4 large, warmed pretzels. Should have gotten the beer cheese to go with it. Salmon Fish & Chips ($20) - 3 small pieces of beer battered salmon, very dense and definitely tasting of wild caught salmon. It came with good fries and a really good, fresh cole slaw. There is a small refrigerator stocked with cans of certain beers for sale. Unfortunately, we were dismissively told that they were out of the Amber bottles for sale. So after our meal, went to the front to purchase directly from the front staff. Their Japanese rice beer from their Session lineup ($10 for a six pack) was available and what we brought back home with us.

I'll start with the beer first as that is always something I'm excited to write about. We had about five different beers in between taking some cans home and having a beer at the brewery. One beer we had was the Punch Bowl Juicy IPA. This was a nice, tropical flavored IPA and had a flavor profile I missed. I have had other tropical type IPA'S before such as this but not for a while so it was nice to have again. Flavor characteristics in this beer are juicy, citrusy, lemony and dry. The Dog River IPA was another IPA we had. This one was good too however I liked the previous one just a bit more. Flavors to find in this beer are citrus, bitter a clean aftertaste along with a nice overall balance all the way around in the layout of the flavors. Moving on to a pilsner... we had the Post Canyon Pilsner. I do love pilsners very much and getting a hold on one was quite nice. And it was no disappointment either. Flavor features with this beer are crisp, clean, naturally sweet and a nice earthiness to it. The beer is nice and light bodied which makes for a good one where you can have more than one. The Waterfront Blonde Ale was a nice Golden Ale we had. This is another beer type that I enjoy. And another one where it's very easy to get more than one. Flavors in this beer to detect with your tastebuds are biscuity, breadiness, a Belgiany presence with a dry finish. The final beer we had was the Timberline Stout. It was nice to head into darker beer territory after the previous series of lighter beers. We had this beer with some chili soup on one cold night. A great beverage to have with it! Flavors in this beer are coffee, a toastiness, a bit of bitterness and a nice mouthfeel and a great smoothness. For what we ate there we got a roast beef sandwich with a nice portion of horseradish to go with it. Very good good food! There are lots of good sandwich options here! Great experience all the way around another solid stop to make while in Hood River! I got pictures of everything we tried save for the stout as for some reason all the pictures for it came out blurry.

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!

An adorable cat that more than likely lived there or put in a hard working shift of charming customers was present and we made over the kitty and pet it when it came to see us. Such a lovely cat! But onto the beer now! For the beer that we had at the taproom we had the Rice and Shine Japanese Lager. This was a pretty solid lager and one of my favorite types of lagers. I do love a lager that involves rice. Perhaps not the best ever that I have come across but still quite good. The flavor profile of this beer has a clean, crisp and refreshing aspects to it along with a biscuity flavor. The rest of the beers we had went home with us in cans. One beer was the River Pillow. This was a Pale Ale and had a nice, soft feel to it. The hop presence wasn't too overwhelming. We had another Pale Ale also. This one was called the Shredipede. This beer has a clean, crisp and citrusy presence to it. It is bright in hue and is nice and crushable which means you can have more than one with ease. Moving on from that was another kind of lager. This one was a Mexican Lager. The name of this one was the Pinche Chela. Mexican Lagers are another favorite lager of mine if not my #1 favorite for this beer type. This beer has a nice corn taste which provides a natural sweetness and the beer is nice and crisp. Again... perhaps not my most favorite version that I have had but enjoyable all the same. After that we went to darker beer territory and had a dry Irish Stout. I love these kinds of stouts because of that dryness aspect at work. Other flavor features in this are roastiness, oatmeal and the feel of it is smooth, creamy and soft. An excellent stout. This was a good stop and I am glad this brewery finally got tried out.
