We had our annual company party at the Hotel Icon and in need of a 2:00 AM snack. Roma's was the happening late night spot in walking distance so we tried them out. We stood in line for about 10 minutes and decided to order a whole pizza rather than a slice. It was $32.00 including tax for a large I'm assuming because they never asked what size pizza. The size of the pizza was fairly big 10/10, quality of the ingredients 4/10, and the price 7/10. I've had better store bought frozen pizza with DiGiorno's, which is so much better than this was. Roma's is your place If you're in a pinch and need a late night snack nearby that's walking distance. If you're not a pizza connoisseur then you won't be expecting much from Roma's. read more

I visited Roma's pizza while on lunch break for jury duty! Roma's was preferred option versus what was available on-site at the courthouse and it was a 5 minute walk. They offer pizza by the slice as well as wings and salad. There may have been sandwich options too. I opted for two slices of pizza. Service was fast and polite. I had a slice of margherita and veggie. Both were good, the veggie pizza included jalapeños so it had a kick! I enjoyed my pizza as a dine in patron. While not crowded, there were other people dining in as well. Check them out if you are downtown near the courts. It's a quick and easy lunch and walk. read more

I've been a downtown resident for nearly 20 years. Still, when the boss man at Roma's is hand stretching pies, it results in the best slice in the entire city. While looking for something that was open late night, I have put a stumble across this. I actually like the area, the street is very fun and lively depending on what day you're on it. If you go on the weekend night, you're going to pass all type of jobs in the club the bars and everything like that. It's going to be in the street. You come in and let me put their pizzas on the right hand side to pick from. They had at least five or six of them available. Slices are good in there fairly cheap and then come hot and fast. So I could appreciate that! I stuck with the pepperoni, cuz I just want to get the basics. But overall, a good late night spot to help soak up some alcohol lol. read more

Reading these reviews, I'm not sure if people in Dickinson actually have taste buds. First and foremost this is nothing like NY Style Pizza. I ordered a large pepperoni. The size is great, the dough was ok, the sauce was flavorless as well as the pepperoni. I can tell they order the cheapest of products, which I understand in this economy but don't charge $20 for a large pizza with great value ingredients. The restaurant is really nice and clean. A lot bigger than it looks from the outside. They did a really good job. Upon entering I wasn't greeted at all. The owner walked over and just stared at me. So I told him I wanted a large pepperoni. I stood by the register waiting for him to ring up my order but he said "yes" and walked away. I sat down and waited. I got the pizza, paid the bill. He walked away again. No Thank you, hope you enjoy it or come again. Owner needs to work on customer service or hire someone for the front area. I doubt if I will return. I can't justify paying $20 for a tasteless pizza when I can get 2 large pepperoni pizzas from Little Caesars with flavor for $16. read more

Neutral: I like providing honest reviews, so I'll mention two observations that aren't things the restaurant can fix: (1) homeless people often lurk near the entrance, and (2) Fabian's across the street can be very loud from Friday to Sunday, making conversations difficult. I used to work downtown and Roma's was always my go to pizzeria. I would recommend their food to guests of the hotel and would eat here at least once a week. The service isn't as friendly as it used to be and I specifically ordered a pizza without olives and not only did it have plenty, the quality of the pizza isn't what it used to be. Still a good place to come to for a quick slice. They have enough seating to handle a busy lunch crowd, but I'll have to start the search over for my go to pizza spot. read more

Roma's is my preferred pizza downtown. Sorry Franks, but its true. Fantastic crust, lots of toppings on the pie, just the right amount of tangy sauce. Delish. My beef with them is that that have menu items that they no longer serve or only sometimes have. Very confusing. No sandwiches and pastas any more or sometimes ya do sometimes you don't. I wish they would update their menu so people knew this. They also are no longer open late and close very early which is a bummer for the whole neighborhood. This is why I make the stroll down to Franks so often. So please, go enjoy a great slice of pie but know the menu isn't updated and they might be closing early. read more

Called in a to go pick up order and they were fantastic! The pizza definitely hits the cravings for late night pizza after some drinks. We called the order in and it was ready 5 minutes later when we arrived! Love the efficiently run place and it was pretty clean with plenty of tables for small groups. The food was good but our order wasn't correct and we got a jalapeño pizza instead of a Margherita pizza. Our pepperoni pizza was delicious though. I recently moved into midtown from New Jersey. Coming from one of the pizza capitals in the US. I have to say Roma's is 100% the best pizza I have ate in Texas. You get that urban NJ/NYC feel. So good you eat the crust! Felt like I had a slice of home while I was at Roma's grabbing a couple slices. For all my Houston folk, and North easterners. This is the spot. This is what pizza tastes like. 100% Authentic Italian pizza. I will definitely be returning and making this my official pizza spot!!! I have yet to try the Chicken parm! Let's see what y'all got! This place opens late. Like, real late. This place is also located super duper close to all the bars on Main St. in downtown Houston, and is not usually packed. This means, if you're hungry after a night out of drinking, and you want a slice of pizza; Roma's Pizza is literally just across the street from you to go to. The pizza is pretty average. Nothing that would make you go, "GODDAMN! THIS IS SOME GOOD ASS PIZZA!!" Well, unless you're super drunk and it's 2:30 in the morning. Then maybe, just maybe you'll think that it's the best slice of pizza that you've ever had. But if I weren't drinking, I wouldn't even consider going out of my way to come here for a slice of pizza. One thing that really irked me though, the last time I was here (Saturday night), there was semi dried puke on the floor right by the entrance. And I'm not talking outside the restaurant. It was on the floor immediately as soon as you step into the restaurant. This means, the short time I was there, I was watching people coming in and stepping into the puke and not even realizing it. Now if that's not gross, then I don't know what is. The thing is, I'm sure someone from management must have known if someone had thrown up by their entrance. I've been going to Roma's for years!!! They have amazing pizza for low prices. Most of those nights was after bar hopping but I went recently and confirmed my like for this restaurant. First of all, I've had pepperoni, pineapples, jalapeño and the tomato w spinach. All very delicious but that's not the only reason I love this place. The customer service is top notch! Back when I'd bar hop on Main St., there was a gentleman that always made conversation with me and my friends. Every time we went, he was there but I didn't see him this last time. Recently, I went with my friends and my phone was dead! I asked the employees for a charger (one of them jokingly said it'd be $10 every 1% it would charge! ) and another gentleman - I believe to be the owner - grabbed by phone and plugged it in himself Idk if that was him but the fact that they did that for me was just the cherry on top.
