I have to give this business major props. I came in and ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza, a small salad, and drink $7.50 including tax. Great deal and I would enjoy an awesome meal. Look in my purse and my wallet is missing! I left my wallet at home. Feeling embarrassed I told them to put my meal back as I had no way to pay. The owner waived it off, printed me a receipt, and told me lunch was on him if only I just came back at a later date to pay. I wanted to cry. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I would not have had lunch today if it were not for him. I will be coming back later to pay and give more to this business. Thank you for your kindness. They literally crack the eggs in front of you... they aren't those stupid powder eggs people use at other places. Their breakfast burritos are a great deal but also delicious. If you are on a cheat day... get a biscuit!!!! This place is somewhat of a walk from my building but the walk is totally worth it. They open early and because I pass their shop on my way to the office, I often stop in for breakfast. Tables may be hard to find at this location, but you can walk down the tunnel another two minutes and sit near the Schlotzsky's. I tried the lunch special, pasta florentine. The price was right: $7 for the pasta, a side salad, and a drink. I was given a large portion of pasta with chicken. Some spinach and mushrooms were mixed-in with the sauce. The chicken was cooked right and the mushrooms and spinach were delicious. The problem I had was with the taste of the sauce. It needed something, perhaps salt or another type of seasoning. The owner gave me a price on the entree alone that I could use each time I come in; as I told him that I don't need the drink or the salad. I said thank you and was grateful for this because I am a college student. The last two times I've gone in I've been given a hard/bad-mannered time about this price he gave me and said could be used. This past Friday, I spoke up and the cashier went to the owner to clarify. The jerk owner did not even have the balls to come out and tell me himself. Best breakfast burrito in Houston, so this is a breakfast review. I have tested breakfast tacos all over downtown and this is the BEST. The short order cook makes the egg fresh right there in front of you, there is no warmed green eggs out of a bucket. That is the biggest reason I rank them as the best for breakfast. I first learned of this establishment from a friend who nonchalantly pointed out that I could find Pastabilities if I turned left instead of right at a certain point in the labyrinthine tunnels bellow our office building. "Pastabilities?" I thought. The name invoked a sense of wonder and beset in me a desire to seek out this land of pasta wonderment that is only limited by my imagination. Today I found it, and it's a dump. This place is genuinely depressing. First, I see pizza, which doesn't look terrible, but this place is not called Pizzabilities! I move on to the second counter. A dingy wasteland of regrettoni lies before me, I look above, only to find a depressing selection of "normal" pasta options. This isn't a Pastabilitiy! This is a farce! Turning still, I finally discover the holy grail of this penne purveyor: "Create your own pasta". This is where my luck changes and my long journey or walking roughly 5 minutes at a comfortable pace will finally become worth it. I begin to read the menu. "Choose a pasta!" What exotic choices will become the foundation of my epic creation? Spaghetti, linguine, fettuccine, penne, etc.. The most exciting choice is bow tie, which makes me want to go cry. Okay, so the pasta choices are run of the mill, but the sauces, those are what make a dish truly great. Imagine my sadness when choice are limited to red, alfredo, pink (which should not count as a sauce because it's just two sauces mixed together, meat (which makes me think this "red" sauce is just ketchup or something?) and something that started with oil, which made me immediately stop reading any further before I became even more scandalized. Pasta and sauce were a bust, but the add ons! These would surely save the day! Basil, roasted garlic, and a dollop of goat cheese could elevate my depressing dish into a succulent success. But, alas, it was not to be. My choices were limited to frighteningly overcooked chicken (why oh why do you keep 20 chicken breasts on the griddle at all times. Nobody enjoys leather...), meatballs that I assume come catered in from the nearby Subway, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. There used to be more options, but these were taped over by a piece of masking tape. If only masking tape could hide my languid desire to eat this pastabortion. Your incredibly uninspired meal comes with a side salad and a breadstick. The less said about these the better, but they make one scream "My kingdom, my kingdom, my kingdom for an Olive Garden!" I love the spicy potatoes and the fresh Bacon straight out of the oven. Yum! The cook Nando is so sweet and I can appreciate that He remembers my preference of Bacon and makes sure He does the to accommodate me. The cashier can be b!tchy at times and really annoying. She hasn't been there in a week so I hope she found another job or something. Beware that on Fridays the line is ridiculous and can be out the restaurant. Frank's is better and serves beer, but he's so much further from the office. Service is ok. Really an average place for me. I have no idea what the pasta is like or any of the pizzas with toppings. But trust me when I tell you that ginormous slice of cheese pie is filling and tasty. If you want pizza, you head to the left of the restaurant and tell the guys what kind. They'll put it on a paper plate and cover with a brown bag. Carry that over to the register, pay your dues, and you're done! Only thing I don't really like is you have to unwrap your pizza to sprinkle with the parmesan and crushed red pepper which is inconspicuously located at the entrance and not in individual packets. It was my third visit before I even realized that stuff was there. We walk over from our building all the time to get the most cheesiest cheese pizza I have ever tasted. The latter two can be any combo of egg, cheese, and meat (sausage, bacon, or ham), and they are delicious with the house's spicy salsa. The food has a diner taste--that slightly greasy texture from a seasoned grill--that makes it all taste homemade. They are also relatively cheap for a tunnel spot. A meat and cheese burrito can run around $1.50. Be warned that they only accept cash for purchases less than $4. The line can be long due to their popularity but usually moves quickly, so don't sweat a 5-7 minute wait for a good burrito! read more

I've eaten here many times and have always had good pizza, but last week I got a slice of Hawaiian pizza and it was cold. I ate it anyway and besides being cold it tasted fine, however about 4 hours later all hell broke loose in my insides. I was practically living in my bathroom for 14 hours. I have been in the past to Pastabilities in the tunnel for lunch a few times in the past and had okay to good experiences. After today, I will not be back. I ordered 2 slices of pizza, one veggie and the other pepperoni and sausage. I had really wanted supreme style, but they did not have any prepared. When I asked the guy just looked down at the pizzas and said "No, just what is here." Well by looking at it I could tell the pizza had been sitting there a while, but hey, when is pizza ever bad? Here. It was cold. I have never been served cold pizza before. I thought it was put in the oven. I had to wait 2 minutes...so I didn't think to check. Anyways $7.50 for 2 slices and a medium drink later I walked to the building next door that has seating (The seating that was there was filled or dirty tables). I sit down, fix my tea and get out my kindle to discover cold pizza. Shudder. So after choking down a couple of bites of each, neither of which were very favorful. The cheese was hard because of the cold, the brocolli on the veggie was brown colored. So after trying to enjoy my lunch time by reading (obviously not by eating) I walked back by and decided to get a drink refill and speak with someone. I asked the manager if the pizza was always cold. He told me that his servers ask if I want it hot and they put it in the oven. I informed him I was not asked and he literally shrugged his shoulders and turned his back on me. No apology, no I'll be sure to speak with them, no cookie, no coupon, no nothing!
