I had a really disappointing experience ordering from this restaurant. We placed our order at 9:00 PM and didn't receive our food until 11:15 PM, which is a two hour wait for delivery . That's completely unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was that there was no communication at all from the restaurant about the delay. No update, no explanation, nothing. If there's going to be such a long wait, customers should at least be informed so they know what's going on. By the time the food finally arrived, the whole experience was already frustrating. The food was cold like it had been sitting there for the whole 2 hours and I also received the wrong food. Waiting two hours with no communication is not good service. First time visiting Houston and we chose Villa for our supper. Hands down some of the best pizza I've had in quite a long while! We ordered the basil pesto chicken pizza (large) and it was delicious, well cooked and the crust was perfection We also ordered a custom built pepperoni and sausage pizza (xl), there was more than enough for only 2 people with leftovers! There was plenty of spacious seating with elbow room available, friendly employees and fast service. The prices on these pizzas are a nice relief on the pocket especially these days. This place is disgusting, it looks very clean, however the people in the kitchen cook with their bare hands/ no gloves and I caught them sneezing near the food. The food didn't taste bad, but I believe I got sick due to unsanitary preparation of the food. I also tried to use the restroom, and the manager told me that I have to buy something after I've already spent a lot of money with this company in the past. My wife and I showed up at this strip center for an Indian Buffet and it turns out the place we were trying to eat at only does buffets on Friday and the day we were there was Thursday. We looked at reviews and found a highly rated pizza place a few doors down...so we went there instead, glad we did, amazing pizza and salads. The pie was amazing and we enjoyed visiting with the manager or owner. We'll be back for more goodies. You can even get a crustless pizza bowl. It took about 15 minutes to be ready. I ate two slices there and took the rest to go. It was quite good. The lady at the counter was nice and the gentleman that brought the pizza was pleasant too. This is the pretty delicious little Italian place south of town, with good pizza, good prices, and they've been making it for a long time and doing a great job. It's nothing too wildly special, but by Houston standards it's at least a 4-star spot, and it's in a neighbourhood where you won't find too much pizza, so that's an added bonus. read more

There wasn't anything wrong with it. Parking is pretty easy - Villa Roma is part of a strip mall near the med center. The strip itself seems kind of sketchy so I wouldn't advise coming here late at night especially by yourself. I ordered online through the app called Slicelife.com. They offer both pickup and delivery for online orders on all kinds of different pizza joints. I had a $4 off coupon as a Google Local Guide perk so I did pay less than typical for this pie: ~$9.63 for a 12" which is typically $11.99 before taxes. Margaritta Pizza - they have very minimal tomato slices on this pie but they're cooked all the way through. Basil also comes in the form of dried basil flakes instead of actual leaves/chiffon slices of basil. The mozzarella is shredded and all over the pizza and not in fresh slices. All of this you would expect from a high end italian place which this joint is definitely not. This is a cheap decent fast food pizza place and it does its job well. Service was quick. They had the pizza ready 10 minutes before the expected time. They were very friendly and the interior was very clean. There's not much place to sit inside but personally I wouldn't linger here. read more

Actually quite surprised with my delivery order from this place. I was staying at the Crown Plaza close by when a menu was slipped under my door. Usually I ignore these things, but it had been a long day and I just couldn't gather the energy to go out again. I also couldn't work up any excitement about ordering room service. A half-assed club sandwich for $30 never feels like a real choice. Turns out I made a good call by making this call. My food arrived right to my room door from a friendly delivery driver in just under 40 minutes. It was as hot as if it had been served to me if I was sitting at a table inside the restaurant. The barbecue wings were great! Cooked and sauced perfectly, they were juicy and delicious. I also had a mini gyro pizza. This certainly wasn't a change my life pizza, but the crust was good and the cheese was generous. It was a little thin on toppings, but still better than what you would get from any of the delivery chains. In lieu of opting for a chain, which would normally have been required for the hour and speed desired, we ordered from Villa Roma because it was close to the apartment. We called in our order and picked it up only 15 minutes later. The service was friendly, and the pizza was very good, so the restaurant ultimately helped us check all the boxes we were looking for. The menu has all the traditional fare you would expect from a pizza place - salads, wings, and pasta in addition to the pizzas. Unlike most places, though, they offer deep dish crust for $1 extra as well as many eclectic toppings like shrimp and chicken Alfredo. We were in a Mediterranean mood, so we ended up springing for the Greek Delight with spinach, black & green olives, tomatoes, feta cheese, garlic, and mozzarella. We also added gyro meat for good measure. Do note that their website has a page with a bunch of coupons which you can show them to usually get at least $1 off whatever you've ordered. Considering this is not an upscale eatery like many restaurants that offer craft pizzas, the flavor was really quite impressive. The vegetables tasted fresh and the meat was just as tender as you would normally expect for a gyro. I ate no less than five pieces in that one sitting simply because the pizza was so good. I've been hanging out with friends in this area for several years, and we previously always ordered from chains like Domino's. After this experience, though, I have been thoroughly converted and will be using Villa Roma going forward. One thing I noticed about the menu is that it felt like every pizza was either vegetarian or had every meat possible on it, no in between. We got a large thin crust combo pizza. We ordered a half Hawaiian and half margherita pizza along with cheesy bread. I had to ask them to add the garlic on the margherita side as the menu stated it does not come with it, which was odd as all margherita pizzas have garlic. Anyhow, we get home and began to serve ourselves only to find out they didn't cut the pizza well enough; as soon as we pulled one slice, all of the toppings fell off of it.
