My bf and I went here when visiting from out of town and the place was packed when we arrived. Originally, we were quoted about a 40 minute wait, but luckily a table opened up and we were seated within ten minutes. Our waitress greeted us promptly and answered any questions that we had about the menu items. While the restaurant was very busy, it was surprisingly not that loud, which I appreciated and my bf and I were able to hold a conversation without having to yell at one another. This is definitely a family-friendly restaurant but they do have a bar area too which is nice if you wanted a possible older atmosphere. I had two margaritas which were both good and the fried pickles were very good for an appetizer. To me the pizza hit the spot. When we order meat lover's pizza, I like it with a lot of meat and this definitely had that. This place is a total trip down memory lane! The food tastes exactly like old-school Pizza Hut I'd bet money they have the original recipes. The only thing missing was the buffet and salad bar. It's an incredibly family-friendly spot with top-notch service; despite a busy Saturday night, our waitress didn't miss a beat. While it might not be the "best" pizza in the world, it is a must visit if you're craving that nostalgic Pizza Hut flavor. We had drinks, fried pickles, and a large meat lovers pizza for under $50. So when someone suggested meeting for lunch on the East End, I figured it was the perfect chance to give it a try. Not too many places do a deep dish pizza well and Spanky's hits the nail on the head. Things can get a little tricky with the service in particular the seating hostesses. There has been more than once I have waited while being completely forgotten in the queue for seating. I have had good experiences with the servers once seated. We came to eat as a family of 3 (1 child who is 16 months) on a Monday night at 6PM. We were greeted and taken to a table, only to be told they didn't have highchairs. Unfortunately, we cannot have him on a booster and as any parent knows, holding a toddler during dinner is not enjoyable. We decided to leave and dine elsewhere and as I looked around, it wasn't that crowded and I only saw perhaps 3-4 tables. Very disappointing to see that a family restaurant does not have more high chairs. We love to either order on Monday or Wednesday or dine there for family night. The guys who were still students at UH were shocked that I'd never been there because of how much of an institution it is to them. I'm a pretty simple guy who prefers just pepperoni, but I went with what they wanted, which included a variation of a Supreme pizza and a meat lovers. Both were fairly large, New York style, and filled us up pretty quickly. Service is always a bit weird at a pizza parlor, since the Parmesan and red pepper are already on the table and they're basically just refilling drinks, but the service was as good as I've had at any other pizza restaurant. A super fun (and busy) place for sports games!! The pizza here is so tasty and such a good pride. My aunts ordered the Alfredo and loved it. The breadsticks that come with it look so good, too! Spanky's has garnered a special place in my heart. I have only had their pizza as take-out as of now, but it has always been absolutely fresh and delicious every time! Today I got their pizza lunch special (comes as thin crust with 3 toppings) and my goodness, what a nice treat in the middle of the work day! Totally made my day. I initially came to know Spanky's from word of mouth as to how fantastic their pizza is. They definitely deserve all of the hype! Not only is their pizza delicious, but they are very rooted in serving the community around them as well. They were quick to donate pizza to an organization that I was seeking to assist. The service was amazing, my waiter was super friendly and honestly came to the table the perfect number of times, not too much and not too little. The only thing is I ordered a pizza to go for my family which was the new hot honey pepperoni flavor (if i'm remembering the name correctly) and I unfortunately saw a little friend (tiny baby cockroach) in there who wanted my pizza too. I've been to this location a couple other times and never had any issues I just wanted to bring this up just so the staff is aware. I also didn't even open up the box until I had gotten home so I was a little frightened. I know things can happen as to why that was in my order, but when I got home, I opened the box and immediately saw it in there it just caught me off guard. From the table I was sitting at in the restaurant I can see all the pizza boxes stacked up on top of one another.
