    Umami Salmon

As much as I enjoy sushi, I don't know if I would recommend a sushi burrito. It costs as much as a regular burrito but doesn't give me the same satisfaction. It just seems like an oversized handroll with much more filling wrapped in too much nori. The ingredients seem fresh so maybe I would enjoy it as poke bowl instead. If you're a fan of sushi, especially of the handroll variety, maybe this will do it for you.

I'm a big fan of Rolltation, and prior to relocating to a new office, I would very frequently either dine-in or order take-out (via Ritual) from Rolltation. In terms of "fast food", I really appreciated the quality of the ingredients and that the menu has some semblance of being healthy, with a colourful variety of veggies. When ordering, you can either choose from their set combinations, or build your own, then watch them assemble your meal. Look for the "rice printer", it's pretty neat! My favourite is the Teri Shrimp combination, with shrimp (boiled or tempura), creamy crab or "kani" salad, carrots, edamame, cabbage, cucumber, corn, and crunchy tempura bits. Delicious and refreshing, with lots of vegetables, it felt like it was a relatively well-balanced meal. The sushi burrito format does seem to be incredibly messy and awkward to eat and I found it difficult to bite through the seaweed wrap without all the ingredients falling out, although all the flavours, textures and sauces came together better in a roll (not to mention having a prettier presentation with its neat cross-section). The bowl is obviously easier to eat, but all the components are sort of separated from each other. If getting Rolltation, I almost always ordered through Ritual. I found that sometimes wait times could be long at lunchtime, and it was better for me to continue working at the office and then pick up my food when I was notified. Also, there is limited seating, while I think the tables could have been better optimized (considering the huge oval table in the middle).

The best location I've been to. Service is fast and polite. The food is fresh and yummy. This location is much quieter and calmer than others nearby.

Umami salmon kale noodle at this location is like a tasteless mush. Waited 15 min for the noodle and it was over cooked. Also said not spicy but it was. Asked. For water and tap looks weird.

Passed by this place and reminisced the sushirrito I had in San Fran. The staff behind the counter greeted me with a smile when I stepped in. She went through the menu and recommended the Signatures. I took her advice and got one of their Signatures; regular Wasabi Tuna Burrito. Regular is $13.99 and L is $16.99 with more protein. The tuna is fresh and the portion of rice to meat and veggie is just right. Simple and modern décor. Great service!

Rolltation offers up burrito, poke and salad bowls in the $10-12 range. Food is fresh, tasty, and the portions are a good size. The build your own features pretty much allow for an infinite amount of combinations. Customers start off with a meat, add 3 veggies, sauces, toppings and then crunch toppings. The meat looks freshly cooked (I had chicken and it was nicely toasted unlike Subway pieces). I highly recommend the Spicy Sesame sauce and Mango sauce. I also recommend the Garlic crisps if you're looking for a bit of crunch. Soy sauce and Wasabi are available on the side. A warning though, the wasabi is pretty deadly (compared to other places)!

Every table was occupied when I arrived, and I was happy to chill out by the bar and look over the cocktail menu. Cool that they had a drink called Shanghai 75 since my friend was from there, bonus! The menu selections were expertly picked, of course, and gave a good sense of the theme of this Asian fusion food and how the chef thinks. Take a look at my pictures and set your sights on another 'Licious coming up for one of these fun events. The only item that didnt contain these were the tacos which werent anything special. The tofu dish wasthe most enjoyable for me but again was topped with a lot of that chili oil that took over after a while. Truffe fried rice had a beautiful aroma but the truffe flavor wasnt as strong. Just missed the mark with me on this one but truly had high hopes for it. Great ambiance. Friendly service. Two levels. We had: - seafood pasta - Fried chicken w/ rice and peas - Pork noodles I especially enjoyed the seafood pasta as it was filling and flavorful. There was just one aspect that I found really annoying with these guys. It wasn't that they charged $20-30 per entree, no... because if other cuisines and restaurants can get away with that price point, there's no reason why Caribbean can't be elevated enough to as well. It's that they charged $5 for the most piddling amount of ox tail gravy.. the nickel and diming felt greedy and left me with a bad taste. I've already paid $20-30, don't charge me $5 for 2 tbsp of gravy. I wouldn't go back, but if you want to have a slightly elevated Caribbean experience and just vibe, it's not a bad option.

What we ordered: Izakaya shrimp pasta: Very garlicky and creamy! Had a great flavour and it was very unique as it was made with ramen noodles. Would definitely be too heavy if I were to finish all of it by myself, the few bites I had were enough for me! Popcorn shrimp fried rice: Was very excited to try this one and it had a really rich umami flavour. The tobiko eggs added a nice crunch and sweetness. A tag bit oily but that is to be expected sometimes with fried rice. Half-portion of jerk chicken: Tasted pretty standard but it was quite juicy. I liked the pickles it came with!
