    three different drinks
    Daisy W.

I was shopping at the mall and was in the foodcourt looking to buy a drink. I saw their avocado smoothie and was immediately attracted to it. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was no lineup when I was there. Meanwhile at Chipotle and Chick-fil-a, there were crazy long lineups. I went up to the counter and ordered an avocado milkshake and a green apple green tea for my friend. The girl behind the counter asked me what size I wanted, accepted my payment and asked me to pick up at the other end of the counter. While making my way over to the other side of the counter, my friend told me there was a "Buy 2 get 1 free drink promo" that was attached to the counter on the other side of the cash checkout which I completely missed. When I went back to ask the cashier who took my order, I asked if my order is eligible for this promotion, that's when she told me "yes". So I placed an order for a 3rd drink for my friend, which was a taro slushie. The drinks tasted fine, however, I'm annoyed by the fact that she did not tell me my order was eligible for the promotion. This isn't the way to do business... If you told me about it and I chose not to take the third drink, that's a different story. Also, the green apple green tea cup was not sealed properly, my friend's son got the drink all over his shirt...

Maybe it was my mistake for ordering their pho when their specialty is clearly sandwiches but why put anything on your menu if you can't execute it properly? On the second floor of Yorkdale near Crate and Barrel in the food court lies this waste of real estate. All Vietnamese staff so I assumed good all around Vietnamese food but holy phuc I was wrong. I ordered their MII special house pho which has their freakin name in the title and it was table flip worthy. The bad: Fresh basil they served weren't fresh but was old and brown. The well done beef was tough as leather, could be used to make a LV purse and sell it downstairs. The noodles were as soggy as socks on a rainy day without shoes on. The beef balls were salty as.. balls. Assuming.. The soup was 1 dimensional and watered down almost. The good: It came out quickly. Bad life choices.

MII Sandwich Co. is on the second floor of the food court inside Yorkdale Mall. The food court is always busy, so it's hard to find a seat. This place wasn't too busy. It's a western Vietnamese fusion fast-food restaurant. I tried two different types of sandwiches, which is what they're known for. It was a different twist on the classic Viet sandwich. Basically, it was just different types of meat instead the usual sausage, ham or meatballs. There were 4 levels of spicy. I took the mild, which wasn't much. Hot had peppers in it, so it was quite spicy. I tried the Caramelized Tiger Shrimps sandwich, which was more flavourful .. and had a bite of the Grilled Coconut Chicken sandwich, which had white meat but was a bit dry. Both were $7.49 + tax each. Overall it was good, but the portion doesn't justify the price. Maybe it was all that mall walking, but I was hungry again after an hour. =/

Small lychee bubble tea with tapioca $5.45.

This review is exclusively for the bubble tea. I got a small lychee bubble tea there ($5.45) and overall it was ok. I didn't taste any tea in it, so I think it was just milk and lychee flavouring. It was rich and creamy. It was also nice and smooth and not gritty. I liked that it was really cold (I hate it when my bubble tea is lukewarm). The tapioca pearls were ok. They weren't hard, but they weren't as chewy as I like them. Overall, not bad for a place that specializes in sandwiches and not actually bubble tea. Incidentally, I saw that they have "create your own salad bowls." This looked really good and I may have to try it sometime :)

Lemongrass pork taco (with my own addition of Sriracha)

This is by far my favorite food court spot at Yorkdale mall. The tacos are my absolute favorite!! The taco shell is thin but it has a very nice texture to it. They let you adjust your spicy levels, but make sure to ask. Mild does not mean not spicy to them!! Mild = Sriracha, so if you can't really handle spicy, make sure you adjust to it accordingly. I've had their bao, I feel like they don't stuff their baos as much as their tacos so I prefer the taco more. Their sandwiches are really yummy. I had the pulled pork one, it contained a lot of onions. I know that the lemongrass pork and bulgogi is delicious!! I prefer those over the pulled pork but that's cause I don't like onions that much. Their pho is small for their price, but the soup is super yummy and flavorful. I had their bubble teas, it's made from powder and it's $4.99 for a pretty small size. I don't think their bubble teas are that worth it.

Have been coming here for a quick fix for years. Back today as they sent me an offer by email. Even though I asked for dine here they are now serving in take out containers only. Portions smaller than I remembered. Maybe it's the container. I had pork chop and chicken rice platter and shrimp salad roll. Food still tasty and flavorful. Had pho here in the past and good quality for food court. They have a lot of options and combos to choose from. This the best location compared to others. Lots of drink options too. Had the raspberry lemonade on offer. They can make it half sweet. Overall great Vietnamese food court experience.

Newish Vietnamese sandwich shop at the food court across from the Eaton Centre. Very modern looking shop. I wonder if it's a chain? I had two Bao (which can also be got as tacos). One was lemongrass chicken and the other bolgogi. It was 7.50 for both. They were decent but holy cilantro. They put a huge amount in. Maybe most people like a lot of cilantro but it was too much for me. Despite this ID come back to try the sandwiches and the pho.

Mediocre drinks. Expensive for the quality and quantity. Better to get che ba mau at another viet sub store.

This was easily the worst sandwich I've eaten at a restaurant in Toronto, or any other city for that matter. I got the coconut chicken combo with fries and an iced tea. To start, the fries tasted like they were boiled in water and had zero flavour to them. I ate maybe 5 before throwing in the towel on those. I started the "sandwich," which was essentially an untoasted, chalky French loaf cut open and sprinkled with low grade chicken and cilantro. Yum... To top the experience off, I got to wash this abomination of a lunch down with a lukewarm iced tea. I'd like to submit the attached pictures into evidence. Thanks for the times, MII!

Located inside yorkdale mall. Right next to the escalator. It is always busy. I always ask for less sugar in my drink. They have mix and match 2 for $8.99 (16oz drink) with choice of Grass jelly milk tea Mango smoothie Red bean smoothie Raspberry lemonade The food is more on the salty side.

Food court food delivered by uber eats...meh... it didnt work at all. The irony of their "fresh" rolls is that they dont seem fresh at all. Tasted like it was made a day ago. The bao was delicious but not filling and a bit too pricy for such a small portion. I enjoyed the "taco" as well...but i am 100% convinced they use paratha as the shell. Probably never again- as they didnt even give me spoons and forks to eat thru Uber Eats.

"Special" Combo for $8.99. Not bad for food court prices, but kinda $$$ if you really think about it!
    Stephanie S.

Decent pricing for food court, but somewhat overpriced if you think about how much banh mi's actually cost elsewhere, i.e. downtown. However, you're not in Chinatown, you're in a busy ass food court in a mall. It was $8.99+taxes for a banh mi (good size) + a sweetened lemonade. I thought the drink was quite refreshing, whereas my sister took 1 sip and she thought it was too sweet! I guess you can just wait for the ice to melt a bit. Good quick(-ish) alternative at Dine on 3, especially after seeing the line at Chipotle. My only criticism is that they'd be a bit more interactive with the customers. They literally take your order, slowly take their time, make it, dump on tray, and see ya.

Food: 3 stars Normally wouldn't get pho at a food court but gave this place a shot. $8.99 for the pho and I was told it only comes in one size. Pho was not bad and came with the usual bean sprouts, basil leaves, and lime. Their one size is about a medium at most pho restaurants. I substituted the beef balls for more beef slices. Got about 5-6 palm-sized slices. Beef is lean but not tough. Soup base was pretty good. Store front: 4 stars Bright yellow store signage. Clean and bright store front. Pretty eye-catching. Service: 3 stars There was no line-up so we were served quickly.

    Combo! $8.99

They specialize in meat platters where you can create DIY fresh rolls. The platters come with lettuce, mints, vermicelli, rice paper and house special sauce. They also have pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes as well. Washrooms are located downstairs which are not accessible. They only accept cash (with a 10% cash discount) or debit. I previously have had Anh Dao for take out before - their pork sausages (nem nuong) are delicious and perfect when you wrap them with vermicelli and fresh herbs. Even when I got take out, the restaurant gives you plenty of fresh ingredients to create your own fresh rolls. I recently went to Anh Dao for lunch to dine in at the restaurant on a Friday around 12:30pm. The place was pretty quiet as it seemed like I was their first customer that day. During my time there, there was another party of 2 that also came in to eat lunch. I opted for the house special soup pho ($19.95). Service was friendly and my food came at a reasonable time after I ordered. The house special pho included slice rare beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and tripe. The soup was slightly sweet with a nuttier flavour. The noodles were unfortunately not the fresh kind but there were ample beef ingredients in the bowl of pho for the price you are paying. I love how in addition to siracha and hoisin sauce, there is also ground up chili sauce as well as a pickled sliced garlic and jalapeno pepper mixture at the table. Moreover, you get bean spouts, a red chili pepper, fresh herbs, and lime that you can add to your pho broth. Overall, a tasty bowl of pho where the quality of the beef was good. Anh Dao is a tasty option for Vietnamese food in the College and Spadina area. Definitely do try their meat platters as they are quite delicious!

Everything was just boiled and dumped in a water-downed soup base. The least they can do is use broth and dump it in the seafood tomato based soup. This was a 9pm dinner. They had their own family visiting to close up shop at 11. I tried asking them what happened to the broth today but they didn't speak English or just decided not to.
