Tonight, I experienced my first rollin cannoli. What an amazing experience it was!! It was my daughter's birthday, and she ordered a dozen (she lives across the street from you). I had the sponge candy and Oreo. Only half each, but I wish I was hungrier. They were so delicious. Can't wait to try the other flavors, still have pistachio and chocolate chip waiting for me. Will absolutely order again and tell all my friends. Huge fan read more

Visited their truck at the NT farmers market and enjoyed a very tasty, small sponge candy cannoli. Everything about it was perfect, and service was great too. All the cannolis were being made to order so it was just a short wait, but worth it. Can't wait to see them again! read more

This food truck is well worth seeking out for their excellent cannoli. I found them at the Kenmore Farmers Market. I tried the pistachio and the sponge candy, and both were excellent - crunchy, super sweet, very fresh, and absolutely wonderful flavors. The pistachio was my favorite. I'll happily return to try all the other flavors! Truly, this is top-notch, and if you are having cannoli cravings this will hit the spot. read more

I'll start by saying I'm not much of a dessert person. Don't judge me! I appreciate a good dessert but I'm usually too full from dinner to fully enjoy it. On this occasion I really scoped out my dinner choices and I saved room for cannoli. When I first spotted the truck, I knew it was going to happen. There were so many wonderful choices I did have a hard time narrowing it down but I decided on the sponge candy cannoli as I said to my companion I hope I'm able to finish this! This cannoli was not like any other I've ever had! it didn't weigh 2 lbs. It was light, crisp and sweet but not sickly powdered sugar sweet. The cannoli shell itself was crisp and fresh with no overpowering cinnamon taste. The filling was not mealy ricotta and powdered sugar, instead it was this light airy caramel tasting delight. Was it whip cream? Was it ricotta cheese? A bit of both? I couldn't tell. I just knew it was heavenly. Gorgeous chunks of chopped sponge candy encased both ends, caramel sauce was drizzled lovingly on top then it was dusted with powdered sugar. I am a big dessert lover, but wouldn't say that cannolis are a personal favorite of mine. I often find cannoli filling to leave my mouth feeling dry or taste sickeningly sweet, even when others claim it's great quality. But if all cannolis were like Rolling Cannoli cannolis, they may actually be my favorite sweet treat. Rolling Cannoli was at the Curtain Up event near Shea's so we thought we'd try some, even if cannolis aren't typically our fave. We got a 4 pack of the small cannolis: peanut butter and Oreo ones for me, and peanut butter and traditional chocolate chip for my boyfriend. All four were of exceptional quality - the filling was smooth, silky, and perfectly flavored. It was the perfect consistency - didn't ooze too much when biting into the shell. The shell itself was perfectly baked, crunchy, not too thick or thin, and dusted with powdered sugar. All four cannolis were decorated attractively, with little halved peanut butter cups, crushed Oreo, or chocolate chips on the ends. All in all a win - will be looking forward to sampling more in the future! read more

I used to think all cannoli were the same. Then this food truck rolled into my life. Unlike other food trucks there is hardly ever a wait. If variety is the spice of life then Rolling Cannoli must have the secret to a happy life. While always having the favorite that won them "The Best Taste in Buffalo" they rotate in new creations so your dessert loving tastebuds are never bored. The Sponge Candy Cannoli is the hybrid Buffalonian-Italian dessert you didn't know you've been waiting for. So delicious. Tried it the 1st time at the Taste of Buffalo & later made my hubby try it so he'd understand why I raved about it. We've also tried the Oreo/Cookies & Cream Cannoli which is excellent as well. Highly recommend trying out The Rolling Cannoli if you see it around. read more

My friend suggested they change their name to Foaming Buffalo because one taste and I was foaming at the mouth in disgust. But seriously, no. I really, really, really don't like this place. I had half a burger - which compared to Vizzi's or Ruzzine's or Mooney's (or even a Big Mac) was very disappointing. I had my own order of "Buffalo Poutine" because it sounded so exciting! And it was so damn expensive too grr. So Buffalo Poutine is basically... really bad french fries that taste like frozen oven fries. Really bad crumbly bleu cheese on top of them. That tastes awful. And then some very sharp tasting Frank's Hot Sauce poured all over them. The end. I couldn't taste any butter in the sauce at all. And then there's the Halal Carts, especially Sammy's, and Biryani Cart, all in NYC. Some of my fave places in Rochester and Philly are trucks. My fave in Pitt? India On Wheels food truck! Cleveland? SETI's baby! I am used to getting incredible food from trucks. So I have the same standards for trucks as I do from non-trucks. And I like dirt-cheap regular places and dirt-cheap trucks, it's not about how fancy it is. But no. It didn't do it for me. At all. I might even say that for all I care, this truck should go Roaming from Buffalo and stay Roaming. PS The star attractions here are a Bison Burger (I can never bring myself to eat Bison meat or pay $8 for another bad burger from here), and a WTF burger (which is a PB & J burger - edit - the owner is annoyed that I said PB & J instad of PB & BJ. Roaming Buffalo has the solution. Not only do they grill a perfect cow, but the BISON burger they sometimes have is mouth-shatteringly delicious. It's lean, scrumptious and even a bit healthier. Sure, you pay a premium price for it, but at $8 -- it's still a steal. The husband and wife owners who run this truck are great people as well. Valerie, who takes care of the orders is really friendly and her energy gets you excited for the food. Christopher, the chef -- is a true burger maestro. Their PB & Bacon Jam takes them 8+ hours to prepare and he put some of it on the bison burger, along with some tomatoes, onions and lettuce. The tomatoes I tasted were very flavorful and the other vegetables tasted very fresh. The PB & Bacon Jam is a great condiment for the burger, but only if it's cooked medium rare, otherwise it tastes a bit too dry for me. If you haven't had a chance to get a burger from here, you're missing out. Roaming Buffalo does it right.

But the LA street dog (wrapped in bacon) tastes nothing like the LA dogs (not even one tenth as good, not even close), and the others have a similar story. I guess I am spoiled. You'd be better spending your money at one of the other downtown food carts, although if you fancy a hot dog there isn't really anything horribly wrong with these dogs either. It's better than Lloyd's Taco Truck. But then that's not saying much.

The service was a tad slow, but very friendly; I believe there was only one person waiting, cooking & serving AND the food was more than worth the wait! We ordered the picada for 4 and my brother tried a Colombiana cola. He liked it a lot; it was lighter than a "normal" cola, non-carbonated and less sweet than cola around here. I don't drink pop and even when I did, I always hated colas. I can't say I'd drink a whole Colombiana, but I didn't find it disgusting & that's saying something. Now on to the star of the show, the picada! It was loaded with several different meats, plantains fixed in different ways, yuca & baby potatoes and 4 sauces. We were so excited when it was set down on our table, we dug in before we even got our silverware haha. The platter had chicken, steak, chicharron, chorizo, blood sausage, sausage, sweet plantain, fried plantain, fried yuca and Colombian potatoes. The sauces were: avocado sauce, mayo/ketchup, pico de gallo & a garlicky one. Everything was so, so flavorful and cooked perfectly! There was not one thing that any of us didn't like. If I had to pick my top contender of a meat and a non-meat item, I would choose the chicharron & sweet plantain.... But I hope to never have to make that choice! The chicharron were thick and crunchy. The sweet plantain were perfection. When we left we were each given a dulce de leche caramel. They also have a variety of Colombian snacks and candies for sale. They recently opened an additional, larger location at 951 Niagara Falls Blvd (it used to be El Palenque). We were told they will be keeping both locations open, but the new location will have some additional items that they don't serve at the Oliver St location. I cannot wait to visit again!!!

That said, it was still a very enjoyable sandwich. The chicken was juicy, full of flavour, and not dry at all, and the bacon was cooked exactly the way I like it. The fries were nicely seasoned and paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere with plenty of seating and lots of TVs, including some absolutely massive screens, making it a great place to catch other games while enjoying a beer. They have completely non-plastic to go cups which are unique looking and we loved the extra effort they put into sustainability. The baked goods were delicious, the whole grain toast was hearty and so full of flavor. The croissant was large, flaky and buttery. My husband's apple cake was moist and the frosting was perfect. I really enjoyed the coffee and since they don't grind the beans for you, I bought the bag of their signature blend then stopped at Walmart for a coffee bean grinder. I love savory for breakfast so I had 2 soft boiled eggs, ham, gruyere cheese, whole grain toast and pesto. When my plate came I was very pleased to see the vintage items used and some repurposed very cleverly. If the decor isn't your "thing"...make a visit for their food and coffee.
